I bought the 7 Pro for my daughter for Christmas and it was stock for about an hour and I flashed it with Dopa and then Gummy ROM. Today I went to charge it while off and it wouldn't. I had to turn it on to charge it. Is this a bug? Did I flash something incorrectly? Is this just how the tablet is? Every other android device even a Kindle charges when off, so i'm confused!

Hello all,
I just tested the new ROM 7.8 for my HTC 7 Pro (ROM from this Thread :
[ROM] HTC 7 PRO 7.8 working unlocked 7.10.8835) for almost a week without major problem, but on Thursday I ran out of battery, and since it is impossible to start the phone and charge the battery.
I do not know if this problem is related to the ROM, but I never had this problem before putting this ROM. Have already heard of a similar problem, and how can I get out without having to buy a battery.
When I connect my phone to the charger it turns on automatically, but it does not load and turns off after 1 minute has can close. When I start in bootloader mode, it stays on more longer, but I'm not sure that's enough for load another ROM.
Thank you for your help.
so i was using my HTC 7 Pro on Dynamics v2.0 custom rom for a year then i updated to v 2.2, everything was fine, but after some days i found my phone off, i though it was the battery, i plugged in the charger but nothing and after some minutes the phone became hot, i tried with PC but same thing, i took it to 3 repairers but they said they didnt found the problem, so if someone can help with anything it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Did you try to use a new battery?
Does the phone show the red charging led, when you plug in the charger?
Hello. I have a very frustrating situation with my Tab2 P3100 as it will not charge when it is on. also, usb storage does not work. the computer does not even know its plugged in as no error message comes up.
device does charge when it is off, but charging takes forever. more or less 9 hours for a full charge.
my tab2 p3100 has cyanogenmod 10.1.2 since mid of 2013 and has never encountered any issues. im still using the original samsung charger. it may not be a cable issue since the tab charges when it is off.
any suggestion or ideas will be highly appreciated.

Most likely the cable/adapter is faulty. You might wanna get it replaced :/ It happened with mine and replacing it did the trick.

Try changing the ROM.
All latest builds on Android 6.0 are super stable. Try them out.
Least I could think of would be Battery issues as you've stated it takes hours to charge. That's a clear sign n time to replace it without damaging your device any further.

Hello all
Bought my son am X3 Pro for Xmas. Seemed to be slow charging yesterday but put out down to restoring settings and apps from old phone. He had put it on charge last night, new charger and last, but it hasn't charged.
I did a factory reset earlier but still doesn't seem to be charging. Anyone else had this issue or know a solution?
Stephen
Same issue X3 Pro for Christmas, waiting for return info from Xiaomi UK
Hello guys,
My Poco X4 PRO is stuck at 15% after rebooting by itself and showing 1% at first. The charge does not go up when I plug in the charger nor decreases when it's unplugged. Any help please?
Oh and if switched off it won't turn back on until you plug in the charger.
I'm truly at a loss here, already tried safe mode and factory reset. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

maybe a new battery, if you kept using the 67w charger it kills the battery faster. But this phone came out this year next to mine, the note 11 pro 5g, even using the 67w charger is too fast to kill it this soon.
maybe you got the phone wet or dropped it and something messed with the battery.
I suggest trying a new battery, if that doesn't work then it's the motherboard, and you're f'd.
But now i suggest you back up all important stuff asap before the phone can turn on anymore.
(Tangent, not related to solving the battery)
I got my poco x3 nfc wet (My mom got it wet, i gave it to her after i upgraded to the note 11pro 5g couple months ago)
Did the exact same thing as yours, but mine was stuck at 50, and charging wont make it go up just down. So i backup her stuff, and switched it to her new phone cause i need the old phone to be on to receive a text to confirm the new phone transfer.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer. I read on the forum that this bug is pretty common and that you need to reconnect the battery to the motherboard. My phone has dropped to 1% now which is weird. I'll wait for it to die completely and try to calibrate the battery and see.
