Previously I am not able using G Talk or Google Talk. Now I'm using G talk without any problems.
Its working nicely. I thing it is work all android 2.1 mobiles.
Installed them in this order:
1 TalkProvider.apk
2 GTalkService.apk
3 Talk.apk
I found someware Google VoiceSearch_2.1. Download if anybody want.
Note:- Google voice search works with internet only, its not work without internt.

but no call option
but it doesn't have any call option, u can only do chat.. so it's not talk.. it's jst GChat ... hhehehehee

yes, this is for only chat, there is no voice call option for android mobiles in india.

so wat is special in this driver??? i got it in CD, got ZTE usb from their site..
logcat jst work wen phone is in on state.. hw abt when it in completely off state.. were u able to do logcat..

Welcome to Android
First, welcome to the wonderful world of Android and to XDA Developers. You'll enjoy your smartphone to the core, once you got to realise what and all you can do with your phone.
To change your lockscreen, you can use Lockbot... I've not personally tested it but, many people have said it is working fine for our mobile. Go to Android Market and search for Lockbot and download that app.
And to change your notification bar and for advanced customizations, you need to root your mobile. And you are warned, rooting is advanced and it voids your warranty. But, there are also many wonderful things you can do with a rooted mobile like ability to move Apps to your SD card.
And at last, here at XDA we are all your great friends and if you have any troubles feel free to contact me through my mail ID or send me a Personal Message.

Press the middle button(options)
Press settings
Click in content filtering
Click show all apps
All apps will be visible.. if it's not, try restarting your device.

[Q] Gionee E3

Hey guys, Im new to this site and pretty new to the Android operating system. I just got myself a Gionee E3, Dont say it doesn't exist or anything because its not on the website. Its not released yet in many places and Im in China where Im pretty sure they are moving the stock first. There is a video of it on youtube, just search "Gionee E3". Basically, its an amazing phone for the price you pay for in hardware specs (I think) but the problem is the Gionee stuff that comes with it. Im unable to do anything related to google accounts much less download from the Play Store. The current version is 4.2.1 and I've read that other people with Gionee issues in the past have had to root their phone and install custom firmwares and all that just to get google play store working. Now, Im ok with that, just that there aren't any instructions for this particular phone out yet, in the mean time, anyone know of any other methods I can try? Please??

Tried that first, didnt work. Also tried downloading the apk from the computer and installing it, didnt work. Think theres something in the phone that is stopping it form running Google stuff. Will need to wait until theres more info/a way to root I think.

Five simple steps:
Step 1: Root your phone using One-Click root or any other free software
Step 2: Install Root explorer apk from apkmania. Note: Place the apk file on your sd card. If you have a file manager, use it to open the apk. If you don't have a file manager, Open the web browser and type: file:///sdcard/ (name of the apk file).apk
Step 3: Install System Tuner pro apk. This allows you to uninstall all the crappy apps you don't need.
Step 4: Install google play store apk. Available on-line.This app allows you to officially download all the apps.
Step 5: Go out and Explore. :good:

EDIT: Will try in about 2 weeks. On a mac and Parallels is acting up again..

Did anyone install custom recovery on Gionee E3 from above link? Please confirm. I have successfully rooted the phone. But have not been able to locate custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.

this is pJ from Kolkata . Got hold of my Gionee E3 two weeks back . I must say its an amazing phone . Just cant wait to root it and flash custom ROMS .

I have also installed nova launcher on it to make it look like android . But still its consuming soo much power and i am looking for roms to come

Cons -
1. Gaming Performance - This is the most frustrating thing that i found out as this mobile scores awesome on benchmarks .
I was facing many issues playing even the casual games like fruit ninja . I don't know what was causing this issue but the game was lagging . But on the other side a game like Dead Trigger Played awesomely..!
Also i was facing a lil bit of frame drops in games like
Subway Surfures
Temple Run 1 & 2
Asphalt 7
But on the other side Front line Commando Played Awesomely
I am still a little bit confused and thinking what is causing these issues. So i installed nova launcher , rooted my phone , deleted all the useless crap that gionee puts on this phone , and installed some task killers and an app named trickster mod (mobile needs to be rooted)
and did some tweakings in the app trickster mod and then the games that i mentioned played awesomely but for the time when the application trickster mod is running and each time u lock and unlock the phone u will need to launch this app to regain the access to the awesome performance.
2. No custom roms available yet
3. Heating issue near the camera when playing high end games
4. Camera Crashes Sometimes (Rare Times)
5. Screen Blacking Out and To do a Battery Pull (Rare)
That's pretty much u will need to know before buying this device.
Overall a good device ,
Some things Gionee needs to fix like Making their UI more simplistic and stock
Increasing the gaming performance by changing some software of the phone in their further updates
Removing the Pre-Loaded Crapware

Can anyone give me a solution for truecaller? Truecaller is not working in my gionee elife e3.
I can open truecaller and search any numbers. But when I get any call from unknown number truecaller won't pop up. Please help......

HD games asking to download data even after pasting the data in correct folder

Just yesterday I rcvd my brand new Canvas 2.
I just want sum tricks and steps or apps to make my MAC2 into a powerful Smartfone.
I see a lot of smart and intelligent guys in this forum helping each other, n I am the noobest of noobs..
So I hope u guys will help me.
one more question - I installed the apk and placed the data in their respective folder of the game "Shadow gun and Batman". bt when i start it, it is still asking me to download the data. Any solution??

Hmmm I think u better root ur phone as it gives many privilege... Also u can take it back to the warranty state by sp tool. And about the folder u push maybe wrong path. Try different path. Shadowgun I prefer must be downloaded via wifi....

Bro Even You Have The Complete File Folder... The Game Will Have To Verify Whether You Have The Complete Data Or Not... Wifi Is Required For It.. You Can Also Use This Method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1710561 If You Want To Verify The Data via Mobile Internet... (Only For Gameloft Games) Hope This Helps

android upgrade firmware

hi, i have a walton primo n1 android phone. its comes with android 4.1.2. phone specification please google coz cant post link as new user
i got its firmware in a forum. for nink please google for Walton Primo N1 Software, Flashtools and Drivers [ Update & Bugfixed ] coz cant post link as new user
in my phone there is no upgrade option. please tell me how can i edit this firmware to remove 4.1.2 and add 4.4. i messege many here in xda who post about custom rom. but no answer. ma b they actualy dont know how n wat to do. they use copy paste from another forum. by the way if anyone know how to do please tell me. just tell me which file i replace via Cygwin/kitchen?

There is 4.2 miui Rom available for your Device I will post in xda today so Search it on this forum . thanks

If you want custom ROMs, there are many all are 4.2.2 or less, search on Facebook for "Walton N1 Primo Family" named group where almost every week we have a new ROM, if you just want a fake android number than use build prop editor from play store to change 4.1.2 to 4.4 and you will have it after reboot.
