Hey guys, Im new to this site and pretty new to the Android operating system. I just got myself a Gionee E3, Dont say it doesn't exist or anything because its not on the website. Its not released yet in many places and Im in China where Im pretty sure they are moving the stock first. There is a video of it on youtube, just search "Gionee E3". Basically, its an amazing phone for the price you pay for in hardware specs (I think) but the problem is the Gionee stuff that comes with it. Im unable to do anything related to google accounts much less download from the Play Store. The current version is 4.2.1 and I've read that other people with Gionee issues in the past have had to root their phone and install custom firmwares and all that just to get google play store working. Now, Im ok with that, just that there aren't any instructions for this particular phone out yet, in the mean time, anyone know of any other methods I can try? Please??

Tried that first, didnt work. Also tried downloading the apk from the computer and installing it, didnt work. Think theres something in the phone that is stopping it form running Google stuff. Will need to wait until theres more info/a way to root I think.
Five simple steps:
Step 1: Root your phone using One-Click root or any other free software
Step 2: Install Root explorer apk from apkmania. Note: Place the apk file on your sd card. If you have a file manager, use it to open the apk. If you don't have a file manager, Open the web browser and type: file:///sdcard/ (name of the apk file).apk
Step 3: Install System Tuner pro apk. This allows you to uninstall all the crappy apps you don't need.
Step 4: Install google play store apk. Available on-line.This app allows you to officially download all the apps.
Step 5: Go out and Explore. :good:

Did anyone install custom recovery on Gionee E3 from above link? Please confirm. I have successfully rooted the phone. But have not been able to locate custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.

1. Gaming Performance - This is the most frustrating thing that i found out as this mobile scores awesome on benchmarks .
I was facing many issues playing even the casual games like fruit ninja . I don't know what was causing this issue but the game was lagging . But on the other side a game like Dead Trigger Played awesomely..!
Also i was facing a lil bit of frame drops in games like
Subway Surfures
Temple Run 1 & 2
Asphalt 7
But on the other side Front line Commando Played Awesomely
I am still a little bit confused and thinking what is causing these issues. So i installed nova launcher , rooted my phone , deleted all the useless crap that gionee puts on this phone , and installed some task killers and an app named trickster mod (mobile needs to be rooted)
and did some tweakings in the app trickster mod and then the games that i mentioned played awesomely but for the time when the application trickster mod is running and each time u lock and unlock the phone u will need to launch this app to regain the access to the awesome performance.
2. No custom roms available yet
3. Heating issue near the camera when playing high end games
4. Camera Crashes Sometimes (Rare Times)
5. Screen Blacking Out and To do a Battery Pull (Rare)
That's pretty much u will need to know before buying this device.
Overall a good device ,
Some things Gionee needs to fix like Making their UI more simplistic and stock
Increasing the gaming performance by changing some software of the phone in their further updates
Removing the Pre-Loaded Crapware

I have a goophone N2 which is Galaxy Note 2 clone. It has the MK6577 chipset and the model number listed in the device information is GT-N7100.
I really would like to flash it so i can have Google play store and get rid of the horrendous Chinese spam. Also the GPS doesn't work at all despite replacing the gps.conf file with a couple of different ones from the forum...
I have rooted it, but i get the message 'unfortunately Google play has stopped working' when i try and put the store on there. What's strange is it'll let me put Amazon market place on there but Google Play won't work.
Anyway - I am looking for a ROM which will be compatible with my handset, I don't really wanna brick it byt just trying randomly, so thought i'd ask here as I've flashed a couple of handsets using advice from members.
Can anyone help?

Ok a few more details might help.
The main question is will one of the GT-N7100 roms work?
I've ran vellamo and the device info says
model number gt-n7100
board: gt-n7100
cpu: ABI - armeabi v7a
device name: n7100
basedband version: n7100zcalh3
Kernel version:

Seen as I seem to be talking to myself I will update for everyone.
I have rooted and installed super user. I then installed Google Play using the method in the nursing-now.blogspot post (cannot post link sorry)
I then manually deleted all the Chinese system apps using root explorer.
This then caused permission issues so I downloaded CMW and used the fix permission function to re allocate the permissions.
I now have google play and am able to install various apps.
The GPS still will not work at all - not a sausage - despite copying gps.conf from the xda thread...

I am in need of backup this ROM, made the device itself, I'll only be able to recover my through it, because I'm not having access to the usb device.

Offcourse you can change it easily but do take a backup first so that you can revert back. I always do this first after booting....
Never got bricked but do not change the finger prints.....

i know that buddy i did it when i was on ics, was working fine, but when i tried doing it after i upgraded to official jb by mmx , phone was soft bricked ( i used es explorer) then i flashed jmp v 9, now my device shows samsung gt-s9081, hence many games in play store are not showing thats y i askd, wheter i can do it in jmp rom, dont wanna reflash rom again, cause i have free version of tb and restoring all the apps one by one is a serious pain in a$$

Hi, if you don't mind having a 4.2 camera app then install the attached through CWMR and it will change your device identity to 'Galaxy Nexus' and Android Version to '4.2'
I don't know how but it does this. Do share your comments if this works for you.

Note: I am not the creator of this Camera 4.2 patch. I downloaded it from here from one of the threads (which I am not able to recall) and hence giving an open credit to the developer/compiler of the same here and also am thankful to him/her. Starting off with the phone is very sleek and light. Till now it hasnt hanged even once. Honestly i am yet to try out the google maps so will post review in a day or two. Battery can be rated 7.5/10 as it gives a healthy amount of service, i used wifi for about 5 hours till it got red. If you load it with many apps then obviously it will get a bit slower as its having armv7 processor wid 512mb ram, try not to overhaul it, Otherwise the phone is pretty nice, sound is ordinary. Whatsapp and facebook works really well without lag. Games are real crisp and smooth, BUT hd games and games which r high end will have some lag but still it does not force close thats the good part.
Especially all of this at this price is a real good deal.
My suggestion u can go ahead and buy it. best of luck with it. Enjoy

i saw in youtube they were playing high end games like real racing 3,asphalt 8. Is it realy capable of playing high end games? I want to buy a budget phone for some gaming. Please suggest me.
A12+ stuck at boot screen
i have A12+ and have rooted it successfully:laugh: but then in hurry i have installed chainfire downloaded long ago which is not compatible with jellybean 4.2.2 and i am stuck in boot screen (the eye) , i have already tried wiping data and cache from recovery and i have not installed cwm i have stock recovery. i could have uninstalled it via adb but 4.2.2 have sideload only hence adb commands are not working adb shell returns error : closed error. now the only option i have is to flash stock rom which i have not backed up so it would be very kind of you to upload it .or i have also read that it could be achieved by installing TWRP recovery and then renaming some files and changing some values from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560607 , who had similar case like me .so if anyone could provide me the stock rom and preloader drivers it would be very helpful my mobile is just a week old :crying:

anyway downloaded the apk and followed that people saying for cracked once and works good
but it Crash after GameLoft Logo !! without saying anything it just close by itself
other side i heard most of gameloft games doesnt work on rooted device
readed comment about someone having same issue he said that after supersu notice to allow a file connection it worked
i already having my super to allow any request idk any help please

maybe it is the problem with the rom brother it may be incompatible with the game
also try to run that gave after unrooting your tab

actually not i have bricked my ROM i installed chainfire something like that for my graphic and after install it boom my rom
had troubles and my last backup was old now have to download wild blood all over again

buddy you should know that chainfire should not be used on devices running android above android 2.3
next time be careful and for now flash stock through odin to revive your tab

yeah got kitkat now but i don't really like it also having troubles with it installing some apps like CleanMaster

cannot tell one but try stock based rom by mr @ketut.kumajaya it is also good

Hello i was in hope to play wildblood on my tab since i love it on my iphone
anyway downloaded the apk and followed that people saying for cracked once and works good
but it Crash after GameLoft Logo !! without saying anything it just close by itself
other side i heard most of gameloft games doesnt work on rooted device
readed comment about someone having same issue he said that after supersu notice to allow a file connection it worked
i already having my super to allow any request idk any help please

Does it show any licensing issue? Then, you could use Lucky Patcher to remove license verification.

Installation

2. Save it into your Memory Card
3. Make sure you have TWRP in your phone (root first)
4. enter Recovery mode
5. Wipe Internal Storage
6. Instal file ROM
7. Reboot System
8. First Boot will take longer time.. be patient

Hi, newbie of P70 from malaysia .
I'm having problem here and looking for help and advice.
My P70 is bought 2nd hand, it was rooted and flashed with TWRP recovery when I got it.
Now I have problems with it.
1) I unable to update my P70 to latest S128 firmware, every time I tried to update, it download the firmware and reboot, but it will launch the TWRP firmware and stuck there, no update progress.
2) my camera dead, someone said it might due to I root my phone. But how to unroot?
***Update***
Managed to restore my P70-A camera and updated to latest S129 firmware after flashed to stock Recovery and S127 firmware
Wonder what caused the camera error, Root or Recovery
Please advice and help.

I own the P780 and Yoga tablet and one recurring theme with them is that once rooted, say bye bye to OTA updates unless you flash back the unrooted stock ROM.
Just for info.
I get my P70-A rooted, but leave stock recovery and don't touch system apps, only freeze some.
Successfully updated to new firmware 129 via OTA.
Root rights lost after update so I must reroot. That's all

Hey, i just bought new Lenovo P70, and i want to know how to Move the App to SD card ??,
i just want to move few of my Apps and i don't want to use features to change my primary memory card that can move all of my Apps.
anyone know how to do it ??
and why i cant play games like cytus and dead trigger 2 , i installed it and force close after i open it.

I've just bought lenovo P70-A last night, then i checked the specs using CPU-Z application, everything is ok just like the specs that's shown in the box, EXCEPT the screen size and battery capacity, CPU-Z shows the screen size is 4.59 inches and the battery capacity is 1000mAh . Anybody experienced the same thing? I bought it from trusted shop, not from black market, and in the back cover of battery shows 3900mAh. Please somebody answer...
