[Mbuynow] Samsung Galaxy S4 6400mAh Battery - Review. - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

So i've recently been after a bigger battery for my phone and decided to give the "Mbuynow 6400mAh S4 Battery" a go. The battery cost me £6.25 with free 1st class Royal Mail postage straight from the store itself. I will include a link below if you're interested in buying this.

The battery is approx. the size of two standard S4 batteries and weighs around the same. The battery has a nice, matte finish and feels quite sturdy too.
Upon inserting the battery into my S4 I noticed I had around 60% in there already and I instantly put it on charge. I left it to 100% and gave around 3 - 4 hours extra to charge to full capacity. Upon removing the battery seemed to drain quite rapid. Looking at my stats didn't show anything out of the ordinary and thus went along with it. Did a complete drain and charged back up, again battery rapidly drained. After reading the packaging that 5 or more cycles would be needed I carried on using the phone, charging once dead. I'm probably on my 3rd cycle now and did a factory reset to eliminate battery draining apps.
Enough of that, you're probably thinking "WHERE ARE THE STATS". Well I've managed to get my most upto date reading, and my best, which is 20hrs and still with 74% in there. I suppose I just need to give it time or the fact it's a defective battery. I've e-mailed them and they have agreed to send me a replacement so hopefully this will be better. I will give an update on what is to come. This is with partial use, not much. I left it on over night with the sound on mute and screen brightness on full and hardly used throughout the day.
Conclusion
This is something I can't really conclude until testing the replacement battery. Battery seems good but I don't think you're getting as advertised and it's more likely going to be a 4500/5000mAh battery. I mean for £6.25 I suppose what can you expect. Personally, I don't think it's been worth it for the £6 but in my point of view I could have received a defective unit. But for £6, it's a nice spare battery you can take along for rides and might give you a bit more juice compared to the standard 2600mAh. Providing the replacement is better then I maybe able to say it's worth it but £6 for a battery isn't bad at all. Personally, spend your money elsewhere and go for a proper ZeroLemon, Anker or Hyperion battery.

So my phone was getting old, I gave it some new life!

I just thought I'd share my success story. I've been running a Lollypop ROM on my S4 for a while now and it's been great! I was having some seirous problems though, I wasn't able to charge a rate higher then 600mA and sometimes certain cables wouldn't charge at all. I also couldn't get more then 9 hours of standby time and 2-4 hours of basic use out of it.
Now, my Galaxy S4 (AT&T) is just about 2 years old now. I started looking around for a new phone and I'm just not happy with the new Samsung phones and I really quite like having a back button, among other things. This phone is just perfect for me in so many ways.
Instead of getting a new phone. I decided to buy this:
I found one covered under Amazon Prime and got 2 day shipping, I bought two just in case one was faulty.
And this:
I can confirm, NFC works and it's 200mAh larger.
I just installed them today, it took about 10 minutes. There's a video(s) on youtube you can follow along with if you need some extra confidence.
I'm now charging at 1200mA - 1900mA (depending on your ROM and bravery). My battery life is already MUCH better, check it out:

I know some of you can get better battery life then this, but I run a lot of apps on my phone and keep the screen brightness up high. Getting two hours of usage and stand by in 10% is great for what I used my phone for.
Anyway, I thought I would share. I spent less then $20 and managed to bring my phone back to life! If you're like me, and your phone is starting to show it's age, you might want to consider just giving it some love.
Cheers!

So is every thing fine

Battery draining 50 to 5% in 10 mins

I've had my S7 (SM-G930W8) since Jan of last year so it's just passed the warranty period and my battery lasts less than 6-7 hours. It'll literally drop from 50-60% down to 5% in 10 minutes. I'll literally have it in my pocket, take it out to check the time or something and it'll be at 50%, then a few minutes later check it again and it's down to 5%.
I don't keep it plugged in after its finished charging, I use the original charger with a new USB cable. I close apps after I'm done using them. I keep Bluetooth/Nfc off and use only 4G.
I'm pretty sure the battery is dying but on the off chance it's not I thought I'd post here to see if there's some other solution. A couple weeks ago I even let the battery discharge a couple times until it shut off and turned it back on after it hit 100%

Have you tried battery recalibration? Also just order a battery off of eBay for 15 or 20 bucks n throw it in yourself. No big deal. Just don't mess with your screen, they aren't very tough.

Yes as I stated in the original post, I let my phone discharge until it shut itself off and then charged it to 100%, which is how you recalibrate the battery. This has had no effect and the battery will still drop in a very short time.
I also have a cracked screen so replacing the battery would be a difficult task to accomplish without further cracking the screen. Not to mention those $15 batteries on eBay or even Amazon are likely knockoffs and will cause even more problems.

Overwhelming Battery Life!!

So, looking at the title you would know this is about my Phone's amazing Battery Life.
But NO, it's not my S6, but my Mom's Phone that has put my S6 and every other phone in my household to shame. My mom spends most of her time on youtube, streaming old songs and watching old music videos. She got this phone after my brother used it for 3 years, which I gave him after using it myself for 2 years. It's safe to say that my Mom's phone is now 5 YEARS OLD!!. I often heard my mom bragging about her phone's battery when I walk around with a Powerbank in my Pocket. So I told her not to plug-in her phone for the next 12 hours.and use it as usual. 15 minutes back, she asked me to plug her phone. That's when I remembered what I told her and I realized it's been more than 2 DAYS!!. I just took a few screenshots that speak for themselves. I wonder how long the phone would last if I turn ON the CPU Power Saving Mode. I must say, I am overwhelmed & shocked.
This is a 2013 phone with a 2100mah battery; Xolo Q800 (a small Indian smartphone manufacturer)

You're right, the screenshots do speak for themselves: they show that it's hardly ever used.
They also show high power loss whenever WiFi is actually on, and a steady decline when it's sleeping.
It seems to have been used like... what, 10% of the total time? Less? With that same usage, an S6 would last much longer.

Lolz...anytime I see her, she's on youtube and I am certain those 5 hours were spent well on youtube. S6 cannot and will never stand a chance when similarly used. You can watch youtube for 5 hours straight on a 5Ghz Wifi, but then your battery will NEVER LAST more than 12-14 hours. I know that hurts but lets embrace the fact! May be you can shed some light on how to make our battery last longer?
I still use my S6 and sad as I want to admit it, the batter is not as great. I don't use much of it for Youtube, but I have about more than an hour of video filming of it for a fully charged phone.

[REVIEW] ZeroLemon Samsung Note 9 5000MAH Slim Juicer Battery Case

Hello Everyone,
Since Zerolemon came out with the 7500 mAh V30 battery case, I've been a believer in...second chances, and new products are my thing. So, I bought a Note 9 512 Gb for the business, and decided to try this sample battery out.
As it turns out, this battery is good. It executes 1.25 charges on average, but I could never really ring out every last drop. The stats speak for themselves.
Day one:
I was on my phone's battery for just short of 15 hours, and 54 minutes on the first day of reviewing, and I admit, I only listen to music and check my servers from this phone. SSH, maybe a little VNC, and mostly Tidal. There's the first 44% down.
Day two:
Just to make it even, I thought another 44% should do for usage, and practically do the exact same thing going to the client, and check the servers, maybe change the playlist, but not much else changed with my usage other than the time screen on. This took a little longer. 23 hours and 41 minutes.
Day three:
Hectic day at the office, and now the poor girl gets her 85% down from just rocking her world. Almost identical, but now it's cumulative in a sense.
In sum:
Bogging down the battery in spurts made the Note 9 last longer, but total gain was three hours by doing it that way. Main drain was continuous, and that lasts much less time. Draining the Note 9, and the battery case, then my Note 9 again took about 75 hours and 15 minutes, give or take.

The verdict:
This thing saves your ass in a long trip, like a Greyhound from Phoenix to say, Seattle, but who's taking the hound anymore, besides me?
This would be righteous if you were out in the wilderness, too, and you didn't want to use the power saver feature which would extend the life quite a bit more. I'm shooting for the power user, not the camping type, but I will test using those parameters if someone wants me to. Just holler back.
I mean, who's to say that we couldn't squeeze out about 300 hours in that mode? I get power outages here in Phoenix every time it rains hard. I don't like when I'm not entertained in the dark.
Zerolemon, you guys put out a pretty awesome case.
I wanna try this 10,000 mAh battery next.
Thank you for the sharing! We'd be appreciated for any concern you have on this battery in future.

S6 Battery - Accubattery - How is this even possible???

Okay so I have this phone for over 3 years now as my daily phone and the battery started deteriorating fast, up to where I will only get between 1h - 2h SOT (phone was always on stock firmware and not rooted).
So yesterday I flashed Noble Nougat Rom 5.1 with Kiboi kernel.
This morning I installed all apps again and after the battery died, I plugged it in with Accubattery running.
As I write this, Accubattery says 2724mah has been charged in 1h50min and it is 90% charged. Will post a screenshot of fully charged stats.
Battery design capacity is only 2550mah. Is it possible that Samsung limits the phone not to use full capacity of battery and Kibio kernel "opens up" the bottleneck? Are the stats wrong? Does Kiboi kernel mess up charging current recognised by Accubattery? Whatever is happening is beyond my understanding and reasoning.
I ordered a S7 batter to replace the "bad" stock battery, but now the stock battery looks not so bad after all. The proof is in the pudding, however. Will see how this charge holds up and let you know.
Screenshots
Had to unplug phone at 94% to take a call. Screenshots below.

Could be a bug.
Or maybe someone put an S7 Edge battery in your phone before you got it.

Between those 2 options, I'd say it is a bug, because I bought this phone new, unless Samsung put it in there for me.
Okay so I resolved that it is some kind of bug causing Accubattery not to be accurate. After 18h light use I only managed to get 2h30 SOT of this charge. Battery still sucks so now waiting for S7 battery to arrive.
2nd Charge did much better, 3h45 SOT. It felt like the battery will never die (i want to have 2 - 3 full charge/discharge cycles with new rom and kernel).
I think the new rom and kernel is a good match for the battery because I notice a significant change. Usually the battery dropped about 3 - 5% and hour while in standby, now the drop is down to about 1% per hour.
For all of you struggling with poor battery life, I suggest to flash Noble Nougat Experience 5.1 with Kiboi kernel.
