Does anybody know if this battery support GPS?
Regards,

I'm curious as to what the best standard size high capacity battery for the Samsung Galaxy S is.
After some searching the Andida 1850mah battery seems to be the best choice, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the other high capacity batteries such as the 1800mah one that's floating around on ebay:
cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150532499575&category=20336&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
Any help would be greatly appreciated
On the seller's feedback page I found the following comments:
not 1800mAH battery, last no longer than a normal nattery. But a good extra batt
Correct battery got here faster than expected from China no less better than OEM
Battery works great. Seems to provide a bit more juice then stock
This battery is junk. Only lasted 6 hours with my phone in standby. Don't buy
The battery work ok, but not last longer then my 1500mah original battery.
Yeah there's mixed reviews on it so I was just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with it.
Also, i'm curious if anyone knows anything about this:

Generally speaking, the original battery is the best, Im trying to find a link that I saw where a website had tested several aftermarket battery vs fake original vs original original and basically, all the aftermarket and fake original had lower capacity than state, and the originals are all spot on. Becareful, because I was considering getting an aftermarket battery but read that, so going to stick with original original

Yeah i know that most of the aftermarket batteries are crappy, but Mugen has a good reputation from what i've heard and it seems like their evaluation of 1500 mAh for their new extended battery would be a safe bet considering their rep

look here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=997060 they have a few person that have purchase the battery and is using it
Do they make any aftermarket extended battery of any kind for this phone? I would really like an extended battery so i can last at least 12h on heavy use.
I too would want to know how hard it would be to solder in a new battery if its even possible

Battery is not soldered, there are two screws holding battery, so replacement is very easy. Don't know if you can buy one though.
An extended battery doesn't seem like it would work, as you would have no way to get a fatter battery on without a fatter back plate..
I would imagine they make (or will make?) a case which fits over the device and extends the battery life... much like they do for the beloved iPhone.
There's always those booster things that are like portable chargers.
Yeah I gave up and bought those portable USB battery, but I'm not sure where I should put it in my jean...
anyone here change your own battery ? looking for good link to order one, i replace one which came flat
Hi, i have done it twice. The first battery came flat. It was a aftermarket battery. Then I bought a Samsung replacement battery. It works since then but I think the battery has only 1500mah instead of the 3000mah. It drains so fast that i can use it only a half day.
I am still searching too.
