"USB device not recognized", why can't I connect to the computer via USB? - T-Mobile LG G2

I have tried all the drivers and did all the research I could do. I downloaded Google universal driver, Koush drivers, and LG drivers but I still get a "USB device not recognized" error. I have turned on/turned off USB debug and checked MTP in the setting. One thing to note is that I am not using the original LG USB. Could this be the case? I can't seem to wrap my head around why using a non-OEM cable would prevent the computer from recognizing the phone though. I have tried all of the non-OEM cable I have and none works.
Have anyone had this problem and solved it?
PS. my phone is stock 4.4.2

Have you tried using a different USB cord? If it's not that then something might have gotten messed up on the port on the phone.
EDIT: Also, try using a different computer with a different USB cord.

Computer won't recognize friends ns4g but does mine?

I wanted to root my friends ns4g but my of won't recognize it. He had a galaxy s 2 as well and it was the same issue.
I installed pdanet, Samsung drivers, different USB cords, nothing!
When I plug it in nothing happens, then about 5 mins later, USB not recognized. I manually tried to put the .inf file through the windows 7 wizard and still nothing.
Like I said my ns4g works perfectly fine, when I plug his in nothing works at all. I don't understand this at all. I have a 64bit system and made sure everything was for that. Can anyone help me out?

Can you mount usb in either recovery (if applicable) and android? Have you tried with usb debugging enabled? Also, does it show you no android device is connected in device manager?

help someone please! lol
There was something i read about the fast charge widget messing up the ability of the nexus to properly connect to the computer and a fix. Part of its design is to block USB file transfer when connected to a computer. There were several phones that couldn't connect after loading the widget.
Before i go and waste a bunch of time researching and digging for this. I would like to know if your friend has installed the fastcharge widget on his phone.

Its soo strange. I plug my phone all good, I plug his NS4G, no detection. It's strange.
Same thing happened when i was trying to root his tmobile gs2. No driver worked.
did you install tbe drivers by booting into bootloader while pluged in?
Sent from my LS670 using XDA
yeah, didnt work. Factory Reset the phone too.
Try a different USB port on PC and pull the battery for a min.

Try drivers from Samsung support page. It took me a bit. But usually the pdanet drivers work. You could try another pc that does not have the drivers for the nexus.

Help?

I tried to root my 4g sidekick with superoneclick, it said something I clicked root and it said http://imgur.com/qJHQY I clicked okay, all it did was freeze up and then now when i plug my phone into my computer it doesn't even recognize that its being plugged in. I can't transfer files or anything. I've tried factory restore but that does nothing either. Yes I have the drivers installed, My pc doesn't recognize anythings being plugged into it and neither does the phone. I've tested all my usb ports with other devices and they work just fine.

There was nothing that said Samsung Android but i uninstalled anything that said Android but still nothing, as I said my computers not even realizing i have anything plugged into it. But it recognizes other devices just fine
The phone is still booting? What USB mode do you have it in? It's under Applications in settings, and I believe you need it set to Kies to root it.
I've tried all the USB modes. The computer and phone itself isn't recognizing that it has a usb plugged into it. But yet it will take a charge. This all happened after trying to root the phone. I've never had an issue before.

Yes I had it in USB Debug mode. And Yes 50 bucks lol why interested?
If you don't hear the USB connection sound, there is nothing you can do on the PC side that will fix it. The phone is not acting like a USB device at all. Try plugging it in to the PC while the phone is in recovery mode or download mode.
Why yes i am lol

Are you referring on how to connect S3 to a PC so that you can Odin the phone?
If so, you have to install Android SDK on your PC first. Here's a link. Do a YouTube search as well....there are how-to videos that will walk you thru it.

What operating system are you using? Have you tried disabling any internet/virus/malware protection software temporarily? This may help alleviate your issue. If on Windows, do you hear an audible sound when you connect/disconnect your phone to the PC? Also, try different USB ports if you haven't already. Windows is a fickle beast sometimes

[Q] Nexus 5 USB driver issue

So at some stage I installed the drivers I need in the proper fasion but one day I couldn't get my Nexus 5 to connect anymore. I tried MTP, PTP and USB Debugging mode and all that but couldn't get it. Since then I have spent several hours trying to troubleshoot this. Uninstalling and reinstalling all the drivers many times, trying every possible combination and also trying every 'fix' that I could find on the internet but with no success. There must be something I am missing here, is anyone able to help out? I'm running Windows 7 x64 and a 16GB Nexus 5 (non-US).

Are you using the original cable? Have you tried diffetent usb ports and different cables?
Also, on the start menu of windows 7 type "Device manager", click it and try to see if it detects the phone when you plug it.

Yes, I should have mentioned that before, tried different cables. The original as well as another lying around. It does show up in device manager, and I have done the manual upgrade to point it to the Google USB drivers but still no success.
