Hello everyone on xda,
This is my first topic. I have a Galaxy Core + with a small defect. The bottom edge of the screen (2-3mm) does not respond to touch. I know that the screen on our phone is glued, but I would check the tape on the motherboard. Unfortunately, nowhere can I find instructions on how to remove the plastic casing motherboard. All screws have been removed, but the case still holds. I also have the S4 and it's all easy to disassemble.

I know this is a hardware question, but I'm hoping someone might have an answer.
My son cracked the screen on his Galaxy S Blaze. I ordered a replacement screen assembly and found a video which I thought showed how to replace the screen, but it was for a different model. I have the cover off, the flex cables disconnected and the motherboard out, but I can't figure out how to remove the old screen from the front housing. Based on the other video, it should be a combination of heating the edge of the housing with a hair dryer until the adhesive softens, then prying it off. I've tried to do this with no luck, but it could be that I'm not prying hard enough - kinda scared to break it.
Does anyone know how to remove the screen - or better yet, know of a disassembly guide for the Galaxy S Blaze?
Thanks!
Heat, Heat and more heat...
Be careful with the heat as it can destroy amoled
a little off topic but...
One of the pins on my usb port got damaged. I was curious and took off the cover to have a look at what would be needed to replace it.... too much soldering that is above my skill level. Anyways, in the process of removing the cover, I lost functionality of my hardware buttons. I'm assuming I damaged the cables that attach them to the mobo. Didn't notice this until I put the cover back on and booted up. Does that seem right? Was I just being too harsh while taking it apart and ripped a ribbon or something of the like?
Hi Everyone,
I've searched and read a lot of posts but haven't found the answer I seek!!
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII, dropped it, and hence cracked screen. I bought a replacement kit as a DIY job and followed all instructions to replace the screen. However.. When I tried to glue down the replacement screen, there didn't seem to be enough glue left over on the edges to hold the screen down flat.
My question is:
What sort of glue is used on the SIII? I want to buy the same product, add some more glue and fix down the screen properly!!!
P.S I've read about the double sided tape alternative, tried it, problem is, it leaves a slight gap and the screen isn't as responsive as it should be.
Thanks in advance
James
When replacing my S4's lcd I also decided to replace the frame/chassis. I used double sidded 3mm tape around the edges so the glass would stick to the frame/chassis, though some of the tape has lost it's stickyness. The glass has somewhat lifted up (I can get my nail underneath and lift the glass, i'm unsure if the lcd lifts up too), the areas of which have lost their stick is around the top corners (mainly around where the LED is but i've noticed it along the whole top of the phone). I've tried lifting the glass slightly and putting some more tape underneath it which has not work, also, i've tried heating it up with a heat gun which also did not. I am contemplating using hot glue but a the time being I am still undecided if it will be effective.
Has anyone else face a problem similar to mine? If so how do you correct it? Does anyone have a solution or any tips? (please note that this device is not under warranty of any sort)
Hi, thank you for using XDA assist. The best place to ask is in your device specific forum. I'm not sure what version of the S4 you have so try one of these, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att or, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4

Good evening everyone. Gonna try to keep this one shot and simple.
Recently had to send my P900 into Samsung for service. When I received my device back my exterior housing, more so the bezel, was damaged and chipped. Samsung refuses to acknowledge this as their fault simply because they failed to notice it during repair and thus, refuses to repair any cosmetic damage that does not affect performance of the device.
While I have tracked down a replacement housing, I have zero experience with the inner workings of the device. Can I simply remove the device from the housing and slip it into a new outer skin? Do I need to remove the digitizer and LCD screen separately from the other hardware? Any videos I have come across on the net have preformed complete screen replacements and are completely useless due to this fact.
Please help....

LCD and touchscreen are glued together and it's difficult to separate them from the frame without damages to either of them or both.
For example, heating up to remove the touchscreen also separate it from the LCD, you will destroy the Optical Clear Adhesive holding them together by heat.
You will likely crack the LCD during this process.
You have no experience then should leave it alone for cosmetic defects.
Hello everyone. I would need to open the Samsung S7 FE to replace glass and battery. Have any of you already done this? Is there a guide or video about it? Thanks in advance
Should be similar to the normal Tab S7. Once you seperated the display, you should see a black plastic plate on top of the motherboard. After you unscrew all the screws on the black plastic plate, hopefully you should be able to remove the battery.
But do be careful with the display ribbon cable connector. The black piece is very thin and can snap easily. Already snapped mine in half.
