its normal for everyone i mean every htc pico user has to face this problem one day some how! even i'm currently facing it too well you can go to HTC service center it will not cost you that much though
yeah power button on pico was derped. but i think it was already fixed by galaxyfreak.
The power button issue is not the hardware problem i think!!! Its there in some roms, and some roms not!!

Replace the battery cover, which is the entire back. It might be that the "button" isn't making contact properly.
Remove the entire back cover, and where the "button" should be, press down on it with your finger.
Do a battery pull and then try it.
I don't think it's anything to do with the phone, it was doing the same thing on mine. I had to pull the battery numerous times a day.
Until I flashed a rom with a stock kernel, and now it's fine again!

First off, what chris is trying to say is, that when in Recovery menu, you can use the capacitive buttons infront of the phone to move down and up and also select items in recovery menu. The search button can be used to select items that you would select with the power button.
Ugh..nightmares of the problems I had with my n1's
the phone is gone... thank youu everyone for your advice. when the power button stopped working first thing i did was take the case off and try with my hand still to no avail. so back to tmo it went

Ok so normally if a phone were to freeze up or something happend you just pull the battery and then put it back in and start it up... is there a button combination or something that no matter what will alwaya restart the phone?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
volume up AND down AND power will force a reboot
Wrong
In official user manual on page 180 is that the when not responding press power button for 10 seconds then release to restart the phone

Your method works because you are holding the power button. The volume keys have nothing to do with it you don't have to press them.

Hi
Press and hold these three keys all together for at least 5 seconds:
Volume Down + Volume Up + Power Button!
I think this is very useful for those who have cover (specially silicon cover which
is hard to remove) and also in some ROMs (I don't want to name them) after
some times it become unresponsive and pressing the power key doesn't turn
on the screen.... but still you can receive and answer calls! Now with this method
you can restart your phone without removing the battery in seconds!:good:
Update
Several days ago my mobile hanged pretty badly after a phone call!
The screen was off and the proximity sensor's led was constantly blinking!
I tried to restart my phone with this method and it didn't work!
So I had to pull my battery!!!!
It may not work in some cases.. but it was the only time it let me down!
This method does not work

Dear Maxy!
Please hold all three (Volume down + Volume Up +Power) buttons all together for 5 seconds or more
Nothing happened? Again press and hold all three for 10 seconds...
It should work...
I have tested it on a custom ROM (ICS Build 8 & 9) and it works....
I don't know whether it works on stock ROMs or not? I'd be happy if someone could confirm this.
If it doesn't work, please tell us what ROM you are using....
Thank you in advance!
This method works. Already tried a couple of times.
It works on stock roms too ...
Just press all three buttons together simultaneously..
Thanks, I am having a hard tpu case so thus is fun.
Works on all ROMs by the way !

Couldn't find how to fix this, solution anyone ?
To be honest, that sounds like a hardware problem.
But you could try removing the back cover and *GENTLY* press each of the buttons on the phone itself.
If that works you cover buttons got messed up.
Otherwise it's probably (but not 100%) a hardware problem.

probably hardware problem. annoying one.
Sorry to hear that.
It is an annoyance as you said, but these buttons are not a must, different apps, roms and mods can change the volume for you.
