Titanium Backup has stopped - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I didn't really wanted to start a new thread because of this, but I haven't found my answers neither here on the forum nor on google.
I have installed Titanium Backup Root (not pro version) on my Nexus 5 and when I open it, it says 'Unfortunately, Titanium Backup has stopped.'
Can anyone help me?

Which Google did you use? I looked and got this https://www.google.nl/search?q=unfo...hannel=sb&gfe_rd=cr&ei=f25FU7OfGsiT-wbi44D4Bg in 10 seconds. Try fixing permissions in recovery.

Letharqy yes I have tried that, it still doesn't work
gee2012 yes that is what I have searched but I haven't found something that would make it work. Tried fixing the permissions, still doesn't work.

As far as I know, ART is not supported by Xposed Framework, so no, I do not use ART.

Yes, did all that, still no positive result.

Have you tried booting into a custom recovery and formatting the cache and the dalvik cache?

You could try Helium or make backups with adb or maybe some other apps in Play.

So there is no solution for my problem?

Hi,
Other than that:
http://www.titaniumtrack.com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-troubleshooting.html
If it’s crashing right away when you launch it, try clearing its data (in your phone settings, under Applications) and be sure to also remove the "data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup" directory on your sd card, if it exists.
Click to collapse
And maybe also delete all the residues in data/data (and another locations?) if presents, reboot and try to re-install?
Send them a log too?
It's weird, maybe a conflict with an Xposed module...

It is still not working after doing what was said on that website.
I don't know what else to do, but thank you all for trying to help.

If you really want to use Titanium Backup.... What kind of Xposed modules you use?
Otherwise try the alternative solutions above to make backup.

Hi,
Try installing the app from play store and restore the data seperately . It worked for me.

You don't need to bump your post every hour because you haven't gotten an answer yet. Not everyone is on at the same time.
Far as a solution:
First, have you cleared the cache and data for the market app and you still get the same error?
Are you running a ROM - If so, did you dirty flash(just wipe cache and flash the zip) or did you do a full wipe?(factory reset + Davlik cache)
If not running a ROM try to clear your cache anyways via CWM or TWRP see if that helps.

I did everything except clear cache for market. How do i do that?
Go to 'Manage Apps' in settings then click the market. There you'll see four options; force stop, uninstall, clear data, clear cache. Clear the data and the cache. This will make you agree to the TOS again but may solve your problem.

try reinstalling rom and rewiping everything again?
Do you have a directory called "LOST.DIR" on your sdcard that's ridiculously big? If you do, you can delete it - it's essentially the 'Recycle Bin' of Linux.
Also, try removing ALL your google accounts from the phone then clearing the market cache like mentioned above and then add your google accounts back. This is a fix for a different market problem but may work on this one as well.

I'm out of ideas then. Re-flash your ROM after doing a full wipe see if that fixes it. If not try a different or stock ROM.

Play Store error -24?

Hey guys,
I got my nexus 5 a couple of weeks back and was very happy about it. I installed all my favorite apps and they just installed fine. Then when I tried to install Apex Launcher ( which is my primary launcher in all my devices), play store gave me error -24. I tried this over and over again but alas! No change. Is this a common problem everyone is experiencing? Is there a possible solution to this (not involving rooting or wiping data)? I have not experienced this problem with any other app.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Night

Did you try "clear data" button for play store ? It's in the app list. Or you could try remove it in the recent app menu. Error -24 sometimes hits me and that's how I fix it.

you didn't follow the post completely, if none of this is working factory reset is your last option.

I just had one last idea. Would flashing the 4.4.2 update via adb fix the problem? If not, I guess its backup and wipe then.

[Q] Nexus 5 SystemUI Crash. Need Help!

Hi Guys! Really hope you can help.
My Nexus 5 when I turned it on this morning booted up into 4.4.4 and suddenly showed that the process "com.android.systemui" has stopped. I rebooted several times and even cleared the cache through stock recovery and I still get the message. I have no idea what caused it. It was fine last night when I turned it off.
My phone is rooted and I do have a nandroid that is about two months old and I could boot TWRP using the Nexus Root Toolkit, but I was wondering if there is any other options? I would prefer not to lose anything up to this point.
I could kick myself for not making a more current nandroid. I've just been busy.
If the nandroid restore is the best approach could you refresh me on the exact options needed for both a clean restore with a nandroid and a dirty flash? I would probably dirty flash it first.
Hope you can help! Thanks so much!

First of all, stop using the stock recovery.
Since you had root access, were you using any modifications such as Xposed?
You can pull your internal storage with adb pull /sdcard/, and your app data with adb pull /data/data/ while in custom recovery.
You can also try pushing a stock ROM .zip downloaded from here to your device with ADB push, then dirty flashing it in recovery (obviously after flashing a custom recovery, also assuming you're on stock ROM).
Also, don't use toolkits. Click the first link of my signature and read some threads if you don't know how to use ADB/fastboot.
On a sidenote I do have xposed framework installed. However, I've never had any problems out of it and I have not modified anything in months.

Read my previous post, and since you're running Xposed try using it's safemode disable feature, explanation on how that works here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51306764&postcount=9879
Do you think this is caused by Xposed? You want me to disable it to see I assume?

It's entirely possible that a module/Xposed itself is causing a SystemUI crash, it's happened to me before. I'd do it just to be sure, then proceed to what I said in my previous post if it still happens.
Ok its been awhile since I dirty flashed. If I have to do that, what are the exact things that need to be cleared to maintain data after recovery?

What do you mean? No data is lost if you dirty flash a ROM, it only reformats /system.
Custom recovery, download stock ROM flashable zip, ADB push zip to your device while it's in recovery, then flash it.
It looks like I may not have to flash anything. The Xposed Disable worked. But how do I proceed if I want to use Xposed still?

First of all we have to see if it's an individual module or Xposed itself causing the issue. List your modules?
Disable all your modules, and delete /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/disabled using a file explorer (to re-enable Xposed like the post says).
Reboot with no modules active, and see if it happens again.
If it doesn't, enable one module, reboot.
If it still doesn't happen, disable the module and enable a different one, reboot again. Keep doing it until you find the culprit.
OK.
My modules are AC Display, Bootmanager, DS Battery Saver, Google Search API, Gravity Box (KK), Greenify, Immerse Me, Notify Clean, Swype Tweaks, Xblast Tools, and Youtube Adaway.

Continue with what I've said to try, a few of your modules modify the system and could be causing it.
Go to the xposed module repository and find which of those modules updated recently. I'd bet that's the culprit. Or at least it's a good place to start looking.
Ok before I proceed. I have went into Xposed and disabled all modules. I am now in Root Explorer and have dug down to the "disabled" file following the path indicated. Do I just delete "disabled" and then reboot?

Yep, delete the folder named "disabled"
It may be faster to see which module updated recently and see if that fixes the problem first before going one by one. What do you think?

Worth a shot. In the end it's probably a single module, or a combination of conflicting modules, that's causing the issue.
Looks like the latest updated was Bootmanager on July 26.

[Q] Problem with Galaxy SIII

Hey guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-19300 8GB running on Anroid 4.3, rooted and custom ROM Manager installed. Recently all Google Play services have stopped working. I literally can't do anything. I can' t log in, can't use Youtube, can't open the Play store because it gives me the No connection- retry error, of course. I heard it was because of Freedom. I deleted the app and tried to re-install it... but I cannot even install apk files; not any kind of apk file. I tried to force-install it with an android terminal, but that doesn't work either. Aptoide also does not want to install anything. I basically deleted the cache for every google app & I uninstalled all updates; but all in vain. Nothing seems to work except for Whatsapp and the actual internet browser. Please help me, I really need my phone to work properly.
Thanks in advance, any kind of help is appreciated

Ok. You have got the answer in this thread
But before that just try to do a factory data reset
If you have some important data, take a nandroid backup
And then do a factory data reset
And I may be a foolish in this but I am considering it because everything may be possible here, enable the background data if it is disable
