Where to sell Galaxy S4 for parts? - Galaxy S 4 Accessories

I dropped my Galaxy S4 the other day, cracked the glass and busted the LCD. I ended up going back to my old Galaxy Nexus for the time being until I can gather some money for an S4 or maybe an S5. Now I have this busted S4 sitting here with a clean ESN. If it gets repaired its totally usable. My question is, does anyone know a good place to try and sell it? I know a lot of people on here, or similar forums are into fixer-uppers like this for experience or maybe even to get a good deal on a phone. I'm not trying to sell it here, but rather find another place with a designated classifieds section where someone will be able to use it and buy it.
I know eBay is the obvious answer, but the market for Sprint phones is weak and there's a lot of people who will buy it, fix it, and sell it overseas as "new" instead of refurbished and I'm not into that. Thanks, any advice will help.

Can I buy the phone`s hardware?

Hello everybody,
I have a question that bugs me quite a bit now.
Saw the real hardware prices of the Nexus one and the iPhones, that costs 174-218$,
and I thought maybe I could buy the hardware and put it all together by myself.
Is it possible in any way to do such a thing?
I really can`t see why should I pay 600$~ for a phone that costs 1/3 of it.
Thanks.
lol...
You can check on ebay if anyone is parting out the nexus one but considering People can at MAX buy 5 of them thats at 530$ and then lil profit you will be paying more specially this early in game. Maybe later when phone is more common and people are selling broken ones you may be able to do this but its kinda early for that.

I am buying a nexus s...

I'm buying a nexus s from somebody I'm just wondering how I would go about if something is wrong with it (phone comes with box)... Do I call samsung and ask for a replacement? or would I just be stuck with the faulty phone?
well...if it's broken physically or bricked, no one will cover it. But if there's a hardware issue i think samsung has a manufacturer's warrenty, if not then you're boned.
Only thing I know that covers it is the Best Buy 10 dollar a month full coverage plan. So if they have that and are able to transfer it to you, I'm pretty sure you don't have a warrenty.
Ok cool I mean I'm not gonna buy a bricked phone or a physically broken one I just meant like an issue that I could miss at purchase time, since I hear that theres a few issues with this phone.
You could probably buy the squaretrade warranty even though you bought the phone used (I don't have experience with that).
Also, T-Mobile and other carriers have $7/mo insurance available on phones. I had that on my Nexus 1. $50 deductible, I think, but covers loss/theft too.

[Q] advice on selling a new upgrade for profit?

I've found bits and pieces of info, but nothing really direct, so here's my situation.
I'm up for an upgrade with tmobile. There's some good black friday deals coming up, the s3 for $50, for instance (with new contract, not sure if thats an upgrade price as well). I don't really want the s3, so I'm considering buying any hot phone and flipping it so I can get what I want, maybe even buy a used mid-range smartphone and pocket some cash. I know many people have done this, but I'm worried about potential problems that can occur.
What are the chances of being caught by tmobile and being suspended? If I receive my upgrade by mail (which is most likely), do I need to worry about activating/deactivating it before I switch phones and sell it? I don't really care about opening the package, probably will in any case to remove the sim. Is there any way I can get the retail store to unlock it? Tell them I'm going to use it overseas or something? Any other issues anybody knows of?
The biggest risk is probably buying a used phone off ebay or craigslist, which, even if everything is clean and straightforward, I know can end up badly. Ideally, I would just buy one from a retailer, giving me peace of mind and a warranty. But, if the difference is spending $200 vs. pocketing $200 plus an upgraded phone (I'm still using the G1 by the way), then I would seriously consider doing any work necessary.
Anyone have some experience?

[Q] Best place to buy Digitizer/LCD assembly for Verizon S3?

Hello All.
I'm trying to help out my friend. he has a peble Blue Verizon S3, and dropped it/ broke the screen. The LCD doesn't even light
He only has had the S3 for 3 weeks, bought new thru Verizon(no insurance unfortunately..ouch).
What is the best option? He was told to call samsung and they may send him a new one, but that is a long shot it think? I have searched online and found many places with the part @~$220-260. Anyone know of a cheaper price, or a good repair shop thats reasonable? We can do the work ourselves if need be.
Thanks in advance

I'm also looking for such replacement. Those digitizers are really expensive!!! Are there any alternative sources? Here's what I found:
1. Depending on how savvy you are, you could save a couple bucks by replacing only digitizer. Easier is to replace the whole front frame, and not much more expensive either: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-Screen-...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item5d4219bf6b
2. You can get digitizder only from China: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LCD-Display...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item2330c458a5 or an OEM one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Samsung...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item5654dc87c0 . I suspect both are the same part, except getting it from USA seller is more expensive. Replacing is not OVERLY hard, but takes some effort. This video shows how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4Lh8T7vK18
3. If you go down the rabbit hole of cheapness, I'd say you might order it from aliexpress. You can get it for ~90 bucks, like this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...xy-S3-i9300-Tools-black-white/1218254599.html . I can't vouch for quality, supposedly it's an oem part, but what do I know. You can also buy a digitizer+frame part.
Also, I think Samsung now repairs for much cheaper that they used to. I think verizon phone repair is under $140 with free shipping and such. Might be a better option for you.
Another option is to buy a phone on craigslist, and sell your broken one. You can probably recover about 100 bucks, so if you get a good deal with craigslist one, it might be an even cheaper option (although riskier). Just make sure you are not getting blacklisted phone.
If someone who knows other places to buy even cheaper screens, I would appreciate if you share

Best way to sell a sort-of-working Tab2?

Hi folks,
I've posted here in a few threads re: my unstable p5113. I've decided to sell it, and have already bought a new tablet (got an Asus 701T on the way). I suspect but can't confirm there may be a hardware problem.
I'm strictly honorable; no way I would sell this as a "completely working condition" device. But I'd like to maximize what I get out of it... perfect screen, good battery...
I'm thinking of putting a listing on the Swappa Boneyard. Anybody have any better idea? I'll be advertising it with specific notes that I couldn't get it to work stably but that perhaps someone with more skills will be able to, but it turns on, good screen, good sound, good battery and so forth.
At my local grocery store they actually have a kiosk where you can "sell" your old mobile devices, but it was ridiculous. A "perfect condition" tab2 10.1 wifi p5113 would get $36 there. NO THANKS. The screen + display alone are worth twice that.
Curious to hear how to best sell something like this, without taking advantage of someone.
Marc
I'd go with swappa or eBay.
