So I'm looking for a low priced but not "cheap" android tablet. I don't need anything to fancy.. Mostly just want something I can use for books or browsing the web without having to last in bed with my laptop. The Droid DNA phone that I have I nice if just like something with a bigger screen that's easier on the eyes for long periods of reading. Any recommendations? Looking for something around 50-70 dollars..

I'll suggest you to have SWIPE MTV SLASH 4X TAB. It is very good tablet under 8k.
7" Hd ips display with ogs technology
1.3 ghz quad core processor.
1 gb ddr 3 ram
I am using it from nearly one month no lags and issues yet.

pandawill.com has a WIDE variety of tablets, and some are real inexpensive. Always free shipping. Not sure what you're going to get for $50-70 though. Save up your money and get a better one.
Maybe some prestigio tablet, they are well priced and not bad hardware wise.

I like reading A LOT, i have 4GB of epub book on my sensation ( the average book is ~1mb so do the math how many titles i have)
Now the 4.3" screen on the sensation aint quite for reading, im looking for a tablet, which one do u recommend (mostly for the reading aspect, so a screen in probably most important, given the fact that i will be looking at it for a long time)
P.s kindles arent for me, id still like to have a powerhouse( asus, g.tab, xoom, ipad, jetstream etc)
So what can u recommend me?
P.s the htc reader app is hands.down the best

Nothing worth that price. If you don't mind the screen size... Grab a nook color or something. They're going for one hundred shipped. Or get a regular asus transformer.

He said powerhouse, not trash.
Get the Asus Transformer, since its mostly for reading, dual core is more than perfect. Handles movies and music very well too. And the keyboard attachments is amazing.

I think the htc evo view/flyer might be a winner. I haven't used it but I've been searching around for a while and waited for the htc flyer. then changed my mind according to reviews. however, there is a large customer base that love the htc evo view for note taking and reading especially. With the price drop to about 280 its definitely a steal or grab a used one for cheaper. I just bought it from an xda member on here waiting for it to arrive.
Then maybe in a few months maybe get another tablet or see what the ipad 3 looks like.
The htc jetstream i hear doesnt work as good as the view fyi.

Awe toche couldnt have said it better myself... lol. I would with the Transformer, I would wait though till they release the revised version of the Prime. All kinds of GPS issues and what not plus it going the same price as the original Prime. Or you could wait for the Asus MeMo.
If you find a deal on Lenovo K1, grab it. Can be rooted, and powerful,
with reasonable price. 1280X800 resolution.

Toshiba Thrive
Bought a Toshiba Thrive for my wife. Of course I use it more than her. It's wonderful. Dual Core processor, Nivedia graphics, 10 inch screen. Very fast, responsive. Plus you gotta love having HDMI out, USB ports. Rooted and it becomes even better.
iPad 3 releases soon?
I like the power of Android Tablets and I like the Asus Transformer; how will they stand up to iPad 3?
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus - I own this tab and it's perfect for reading. Just the right size for holding with one hand and very light. 10" tabs are too big for comfortably holding and reading for long periods. This tab also has great specs and is very responsive. I've had no issues running any apps or games on it.
Read the reviews.
I love my Galaxy Tab 7.7 for reading - powerful enough, is light as hell, and has a better screen than any other tablet available at the moment (just put it next to anything you like and the difference is obvious).
Plus its reader sized and will fit in my jacket pocket/jeans back pocket.
I've heard the galaxy tab is pretty damn good, but yea like others said Asus prime is pretty good
Ah dammit now.. i hate so many choices -.-"

well ive been looking for an android smartphone i was using the lg optimus one the p505 phoenix it was really good but now i want something bigger
i was seeing the nexus one but i ve told that it has hardware problems that is not good so what others model can you suggest me to buy of course the one goes cheaper i meant 100-110 us on ebay
Hi, a phone is a phone is a phone ? Except when it gets silly looking a becomes a "phablet !"
I run a Samsung Galaxy GT-S5570 (mini) yes its small, but it does what I bought it for...
However if you are a power user I would choose a Droid Razor MAX its got a 31 or 3300Mh/amp battery, plenty juice to run your apps or WiFi all day-then some.
Then again if you just want a smart Droid that can do it all, I can't see past Samsung's range.
Check which flavour your new phone will run and if its going to get a newer version.
Hope this helps, good luck happy hunting
P.S. Don't be afraid to ask a salesman to boot up a fresh one,if you see one you fancy and the display version is dead or a dummy.
Regards Angela

No to the HTC wildfire s, it will be a downgrade in terms of specs and software, only upgrade is build quality and camera.
The HTC mytouch 4g is a nice upgrade and has a decent sized screen. Its a great choice

so as the title says I need helping picking a tablet right now im looking at the note10.1 nexus 10 and the Asus tf700 resolution is not the most imporant to me im looking mainly.for speed and preformance. for gaming and such anyone have hands on with the tablets that can help? I also want no lag in the home screen I know some devices lag when going through pages on home
screen
I think you should go with nexus 10
It has a great resolution ( I think the best out there) and the samsung exynos 5 chip, though a dual core but a beast. Plus you'll also be one of the firsts to get the latest android!

exactly its a dual core go in reality isn't the galaxy faster with its quad Core? I don't care about resoultion I Care about Power and speed which ;g why I bought the galaxy note 2
Well,
more cores doesn't directly means that it has to be faster 100%. Apps need to be coded properly so they are scaling good with more cores, and I think all you will get is just more points in some Benchmarks, thats all.

Actually its dual core is better than a quad-core cause it has a different architecture, for overall smoothness I will suggest you the nexus 10 but for gaming I wouldnt go for this cause the resolution will kill all the performance in games(cause the gpu is not good enough) and expect poor support for tablet on android.
If you really care about gaming I suggest you an iPad 4 as it has great and more optimised games plus it also has the best gpu on any portable devices such tablets and smartphones.

FWIW, the versatility of the TF700 w/ the keyboard dock is very unique. It has replaced my laptop for sure. But, out-of-the-box performance was lacking. However, there are some excellent devs on here for it, which have negated any lag/performance issues.
That said, I was going to wait for the Nexus 10. The TF700 was a gift. I wouldn't trade

I am looking for a 10 inch tablet for use as a video player in my car. I prefer 1920 x 1080 or higher, although 1280 x 800 or higher is a possibility if you believe for 1080p hd videos the people watching will not see any quality difference. I dont mind used. Would like to spend under $200. Any help is appreciated.
Many Chinese tablets, 9.7 inch got 2048x1536 retina.. mostly RK3066
For example, Cube U9GTV
I remember that Ramos W30HD is an HD 10 inch but I'm not sure
You can wait for RK3188, quad-core chip

I would recommend Cube u30gt - not very expensive and cool, you can find many reviews for it

Thanks for the information on the Rk3188. I currently have a asus transformer TF 101 and the dock, but I rarely use it since I have an S3. I figured I could get a higher resolution display for my car and sell my transformer and dock and break even on transactions. Would the quad core RK3188 make a significant enough difference over the dual core Rk3066 that it would be worth waiting for when it comes to 1080p video watching? Or if not, will the U9GTV have a meaningful price drop when the RK3188 tablets are released?
I have been searching a long time for the best tab without calling after vigousrous searching and benchmarks I found out that http://www.flipkart.com/lava-e-tab-...FQJFW5ZU6&otracker=ch_vn_tablet_main_Featured Deals_prd_title LAVA ETAB XTRON plus has the most powerful gpu even better than tegra 3 and cpu is very much respectable, is there any other tab I should thnk about, whatever you say, cash on delivery is a must..^^^^^battery is not bad, very good pixel density, one of the best builds...
