Mhl cable fps limit?

Hi,
I have bought a mhl cable, but when it is connected to the tv, shows 24 fps limit.
Its good for watching vodeos but in games it should be 60 fps.
So what can i do
Thanks

I don't think the phone can handle 60fps on a big TV. I've tried GTA3 connected to a 42in TV and off course it was choppy as ****.

TV's will only play at 24fps thorugh HDMI unless you have one of these crazily high hz ones

In addition to which our Sensation seems to lack the horsepower to play anything via MHL truly smoothly as well. If you want to experiment for a laugh, download Electopia game/benchmark from the Market. When you start the app you will be asked if you want to run it at WVGA or full screen. Start with WVGA, then, on the next screen select 'benchmark mode'. After it finishes (about a minute) it will give you a score in cluding the average fps. Now go back and do the same full screen (it will be lower). Now go back and run both tests with the phone connected to the tv via MHL and you will see it's even lower. I get:
WVGA: 39.75 fps
960x540: 33.68 fps
WVGA connected to tv via MHL: 29.62 fps
960x540 connected to tv via MHL: 25.09 fps
Bear in mind these are averages so it's likely that frame rates are dropping substantially below this at times. In addition, in percentage terms, those framerates are a world apart. At least I can now quantify why Shadowgun and MC3 are a bit frustrating via MHL.
I'm hoping that as the newer phones come to market this year journalists will get their backsides into gear and start benchmarking these kind of factors for us ; ) For those of use that want to connect our device to a tv then control it via bluetooth keyboard and a mouse (essentially use it as a little media pc for light gaming/internet/movies/email etc), this kind of info is really important. Wish I'd known before I bought it. Not sure how well the new 720p screened devices will get on with the extra pixels AND duplicating the image to a tv...

Based on the performance of our phone and what bonesy said above, I guess not. I guess you could try overclocking your Sensation to make it maintain 24fps and see if that helps....
Before I buy my next phone I'll try and make sure it has the power to mirror to a tv smoothly.

Force Reduce Android Screen/Output (MHL) Resolution

Hey All,
Please excuse the noobity.
I'm trying to connect a Microvision Show WX+ PICO Projector to the MHL port of my Galaxy Nexus or Asus A500. I've found the appropriate cable but the Android output is locked at 720p whereas the Projector accepts a max of 480p.
Question: Is it possible, through a ROM or any other means, to force switch a) the entire device' resolution to 480 or just the MHL output, as you might with a multiple screen setup on a Desk/Laptop?
Thanks so much in advance!!!
T
No solution from me I'm afraid, just a bump! I'm interested in this because on my galaxy note everything gets really slow when using mhl. It would be great to lower the resolution to make everything a bit smoother.
Something which might also help me but not OP would be if the display was rendered only once. Since my TV says it receives a 1080p signal from the phone (and the phone screen is obviously not displaying 1080p) I must presume that although the content of each screen is identical, they are actually rendered separately.

[Q] Noisy vibrator and extremely slow WiFi

Hi guys,
We got ourselves 2 Nexus 5 yesterday. I thought it was going to be awesome but I have some concerns...
1. The vibrator is quite noisy. It's not the chirping noise as others have reported but when I hold it in my hand and start typing, it vibrates on each key. On our Galaxy S2 there was almost no audible sound but on our Nexus it makes a BFRRRL BFRRRL noise. Is that happening to others too? I'm not talking about the noise it makes when vibrating on a hard surface but the noise it makes when held in your hand.
2. The WiFi is ridiculously slow. I have a 50/50 connection and I use the speedtest app. When testing from a wired computer we get the full 50/50. Testing on the S2 we get around 25/25. Testing on a Nexus 7 we get 40/40. But on the Nexus 5 we get 2 or 3/20. Tests were run several times apart to the same server about 1 km away and one after the other. I even tried running the Nexus 5 test sitting right in front of the AP.
We're using 2.4 Ghz 802.11n.
On the other hand, using H+ data, I can hit 25/7.
Is the vibrator defective? Is the wifi defective?
Thank you for your answers.

Unlimited 4k video recording instead of limited to 10 minutes?

Hi Community,
is there any way to unlimit the 4k recording limit of 10 minutes?
i know the sensor/phone can be getting hot, but i just want to know if this is software releated or not.
any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Use a 3rd party camera app.
Thanks, but I want to know the way how to mod stock camera. Tried lots of 3rs party cams, I didn't like one of them.
I don't think there is but strangely enough on QHD I no longer have a limit. I was at Disney last week recording lots of video using various modes and I noticed when I used QHD it wasn't limited anymore. I don't know what I did or how it happened but I don't think it's supposed to be that way. I distinctly remember the limit being there when I first got to Disney and like the 2nd day in it was gone. 4k and 1080p 60fps still have the limit though. Wish I knew what I did so I could remove it from those modes too. My phone actually did overheat in QHD after about 5 minutes when I was recording a parade in the hot sunlight and I had to wait about 5 minutes before it would start again. I recorded a 33 minute video in QHD without stopping indoors though.

remove 960fps slow-motion 3 seconds limit?

hello guys i finally got my mi 10 ultra... amazing phone, amazing camera and all but i am very disappointed by one thing...i was really excited to try 960 fps slow motion video and i sadly discovered that they are capped to 3 seconds recording (10 seconds final output) and this make them basically useless... who wants to record just 3 seconds slow motion? can anybody tell me why is this happening? somebody told me because frames are stored in ram and so limit amount can fit (in a 12gb ram phone.. really??) is there any workaround or any way (like magisk module) to remove this crap? thanks
Check out the thread over at xiaomi.eu, I tried to explain there, why it's like that.
TL;DR: for unlimited, hardware-based 960 fps slow motion recording, the camera sensor would need an embedded DRAM to help process the data.

I feel like the 960fps is just interpolating new frames from the 240fps anyway, you can see some interpolation glitches in some frames.
