1. Android 4.3 is currently the latest for Butterfly x920d. (Android 4.4.2 might come soon according to the leaks)
2. Which rom is best? Its a very subjective question. The best answer is to try it yourself. Find out which rom suit you better.

The 4.3 based is smoother and faster than the 4.2.2 that as has got little lags.

Which ROM ???

How do i choose a suited ROM for my desire S ?
There are so many.
It depends on the IMEI or something else ?
Also , whats a "prerooted" ROM ( different from "normal" ROM ? )
Grts
Answer to your last question: a pre-rooted ROM is a custom ROM which already provide root access. If you're unfamiliar to the term root, you should do a little more reading before flashing a custom rom to your device.
Just ensure that you've read through many of the threads available to anyone on this forum, and you'll have a smooth sailing through the seas of custom ROMs.
Your IMEI number doesn't matter.
Try Endymion, it's probably the best (personal opinion) Sense based ROM in the development section.
Loving my Desire S since rooting and flashing a custom ROM, like a new phone

Flinnys CM 11 alpha 3. Very fast and stable after my opinion. There are just some bugs with the camera(video) and bluetooth but check it out anyways.
Hello guys i didnt want to create a new thread.
My mother has a Desire S and is absolutely casual user, the only thing that is important is long battery life and that all features work (No ROMs with Camera bugs and so on pls)
She does not need Tablet Features and whatsoever.
Currently her phone runs MIUI 2.### which is a battery eater and quiet strange.
Do you have any ROM to suggest? Just a very stable, reliable Android with much battery life?
Thx for your help !

Hey guys!
Just got a second-hand Desire S.
I am looking for am advice about a custom ROM with Sense.
What is the highest version of Android with the highest version of Sense available? The best would be: Sense 5.5 with Kit-kat I think.
Any suggestions? Would like a "stable" version if possible.

[Q] downgrade rom

can i downgrade my rom? from 4.2 to sense 4.1 (trickdroid) thanks
Hi there
I'm a bit confused as to which ROM you are currently on and looking to "downgrade" to. When you say Sense 4.2 do you mean Sense 4+ (which comes with the Jellybean ROMs) to Sense 4.1 (which comes with the ICS ROMs)?
There is more than one version of TrickDroid so it will help if you give specifics.
Thanks
James

Hello,

4.2
4.1

2. I am particularly looking for CM rom, but there are lots of them available:
can you tell me which one is pure CM rom ( I mean not much tweaking is done - according to customization need of a person) I want basic CM rom with not much tweaking can you suggest me some.. specially in android 4 or 4.1 section
3. Which ROM is must try? or which ROM u like?

want KITKAT experience thanks

Hi everyone,
I want to taste KITKAT but I don't know which to choose and which is more stable...
I found these roms
Omni rom - http://jenkins.androidarmv6.org/job/omni/1/
[DEV][ROM][4.4.2][CM11] KITKAT for LG-P500 [WIP][VER-7I - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303
[ROM] Optimus P500 Nexus Edition 1.0 [4.4.2] [29/01/2014] - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2629600
Which (including those roms I didn't find) is more stable? Please kindly give some suggests or experiences!
Also, are these roms kinda stable enough for daily use? (or with some acceptable bugs)
Please do give some advice so I can have a taste of KITKAT, with hopefully less pain.
P. S. In fact I really wish I could try all these roms but I don't have that time coz I hv exams (I am still a student~)
P. P. S. Thanks for your helps and big thanks to awesome devs here

Currently I'm using [DEV][ROM][4.4.2][CM11] KITKAT for LG-P500 [WIP][VER-8] from my experience it's stable enough than the other ROM.
I'm using the 8th release of the ROM and it's the most stable and most fluid UI interaction.

Mukulsoni's Kitkat is great. I am using it since 8th version. Now it is V10.2. Only suggestion is; uninstall stock Kitkat launcher. It is VERY slow. Jams a lot. I am using Holo Launcher instead. Way faster than Kitkat Launcher.
Currently i use the Mukulsoni's Kitkat V10.2. Very great ROMs
Thank's for suggestion to substitute the Litkat launcher... i'll try Holo Launcher.
