[Q] A little Help [headstart] - HTC Pico (Explorer)

Hello,
I checked Index thread and I notice that there are lots of ROM available. I have following questions:
1. Which version are completely supported: like Everything is working and can be used daily?
4.4
4.3
4.2
4.1
4
2. I am particularly looking for CM rom, but there are lots of them available:
can you tell me which one is pure CM rom ( I mean not much tweaking is done - according to customization need of a person) I want basic CM rom with not much tweaking can you suggest me some.. specially in android 4 or 4.1 section
3. Which ROM is must try? or which ROM u like?
Thank you!

I use CM10.2 and it goes perfectly. If you have many apps of course it is going to consume some battery.
Can I have a comparison between the roms ?
I am running PAC 4.2.2 and it is fast, stable with good battery life.
comparison between major roms

-- cyanogenmod is very simple and very less addons but very very fast, smoth and debloated.
-- pac roms are also fast and based on CM but pack of features like pie,ui changer, halo and many more over all ui is same as CM.
-- sungsonic hd is based on latest stock 4.2.2 and also full of features like multiwindow and more, the soud is like boooooom never heart sound like that on any other rom.. little bit slow than CM due to samsung touchwiz ui but sshd worth it.
you check other roms and there features in tab 2 android development section.
now its on you what you want from your tab.....
If you have a P31xx(7" version), i would definitely recommend Pure Bean HD V2. It's fast, stable and consumes similar battery as Cyanogenmod.
Stock roms are good if you want a bit more functionality and a better looking (but slow) interface.
For a P51xx(10" version) Cyanogenmod would be my recommendation. Despite having a higher resolution, the 10" tab uses the same gpu as the 7" tab and has trouble pushing more pixels. Therefore, you would want to squeeze out as much speed as possible.
Ok
Thanks for all who tried to help me
I finally decided to use PAC-Rom
MoKee Open Source 4.4. It has tons of features including multi window for apps and runs on KitKat.

[Q] is MoKee any good?

Hi there
I will shortly be joining either the custom rom user world or bricked phone world. :silly:
I am absolutely new to the topic and would love some advice from you all.
My phone is stock ICS and I want to switch to a ROM which is very stable and fast.
Earlier i was thinking of going for PA or Cyanogen but neither seem to officially support Motorola Atrix 2. :crying:
MoKee is the only distribution which apparently has official support for my phone.
I was wondering if there is any other ROM which officially supports Atrix 2?
How good is MoKee? Would you recommend this ROM to a newbie? From what i know, Cyanogen seems to be the easiest to install.
Also, can someone list the steps to installing Mokee?
I read the content at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305303
but for a 1st time newb all that seems very intimidating.
thank you
Rishav

All of new ROM's for our Atrix2 are fast and most of them are stable (depends on user )
& Even though CM 11 is not official for our phone, but currently it is the most stable and all bug fixed rom for our A2
(I am not saying Mokee or other ROMs are not stable, but at this stage CM 11 has all bug fixed and I am sure Mokee & other will incorporate it soon :fingers-crossed: )
Also all ROM's have same procedure to install, so all ROM's are easy to install (Thanks to BMM)
You can follow steps in that link or check this video tutorial for using BMM
"Axxiom Kat" also has official support to our device.
It doesn't matters (at least for this device) whether the ROM has official support or not, our device has a team of some Recognized Contributors and A2EPT (Atrix 2 edison porting team) which keep the ROM up to date as like it is an official ROM :victory:
So dont worry flash any ROM you want :highfive:

Thanks Sameer!
Guess CM11 is the best bet for me.
Btw, what is the kernel update?
Would you recommend me to go for a custom kernel now? or is it something i should attempt only when i have the hang of modding?

All rom's have inbuilt custom kernel (kexec kernel), if you wanna try overclocking your device you can use JBX kernel
JBX can be flashed after ROM installtion.
But for a newbie like you dont flash it yet, first try some ROM's; when you get used to it then try JBX.
And if this helps you, dont say thanks press Thanks button below the post !!
And we have separate Q&A section for question and answers
Please dont post questions here in general section
MoKee is bug free and gps works berry good
Mokee is stable and you can try SlimKat as well
Slimkat worked best for me as far as battery life, but cm11 was best overall
atrix 2 cm11

[ROM] Which rom should I use for my nexus 5

Yeah i know, i can search all the roms available, but i didn't have so much time, sorry
I am happy nexus 4 user, with paranoid android 3.99-rc2 (android 4.3). So, what i should expect, from software for my new N5?
- I'm in love with Pie controls on my nexus 4. Are there roms with built-in pie?
- Newer version of android will be better for me
- I like simplicity, i have modified paranoid android on my nexus 4 a lot
- It can have a lot of customizations, better for me :victory:
- I will install custom kernel on this rom, so no need to choose rom in respect to kernel
- Battery is more important for me than performance
Can u help guys?
No best rom threads on xda!

So, in other words, you want to be spoonfed.
Not one person can answer this question, but you, and you alone.
If you don't have time to search/research/install/test, maybe XDA and custom ROMs is not for you.
There is no such thing as best ROM/kernel, it is all about personal choice/needs/wants.
What works for me, don't necessary mean it will work for you.
When you have "time" research and install till you find what YOU like.
Pretty blunt, and to the point.
Ehh whatever, thx

Generally speaking the faster ROM's are the ones that have been stripped back to the bare essentials such as Lineage or similar. It's difficult to say which is the fastest Rom because everyone claims theirs is fastest but it very much depends on what apps you add to your phone. So there is no perfect answer i'm afraid.
