I will have the black one since in my country only black and white are available and i'd love the blue one much more. I checked on ebay, only one seller sells an OEM blue battery door but i contacted him and he told me they are production reject and most of his parts dont come with the rubber that make the phone IP67. Does anybody know where i can buy just the back door battery cover?

Also interested to know this.

Seconded. Planning on getting the black, since Sprint isn't carrying the blue yet.

Samsung does not sell parts directly to the consumer, thats why i'm looking for a 3rd party for this

Any luck locating this?

Nop...i found some 3rd party parts but again, you lose IP67 certification. My only guess would be when Samsung releases the Electric Blue wireless charging door, it's 2 birds with one stone. As of now, they also only have a black and white

So you think no US carrier will get the blue on the 11th? My concern with the wireless charging back is the increased size.

I can guarantee no north american carrier will have the blue version at launch. All signs point to that. It might come in the comming months, as usual, samsung releases more colors 3-4 months after launch to boost sales. And as for the wireless charging back, it doesnt increase size, and for 30$, its almost a steal to have an official accesory

It may say OEM but you can very clearly see in the pictures that the seal for the IP67 water/dust resistance is missing. Sadly another batch of backs that failed the test and got dumped.

Sadly yeah. I'm afraid (i dont recall who posted it first) is right. The only way to get blue backs with the IP67 is going to be waiting for samung to release the wireless charging in that color. But they may not do that until they release the blue phone. Which we have no clue how long that might be at this point.

In some countries samsung does sell direct to consumers through their online store, in hong kong samsung has 4 offcial samsung store that sell samsung accessories including battery covers, i've already purchased 3 oem battery cover for the note 3 (orange, brown and electric blue).
Right now it's to early to say if samsung will released them, the phone should only be released any day now.
BTW I think the wireless cover will only come in white and black, and it should be about 1-2mm thicker.
---------- Post added at 08:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:12 PM ----------
I will not consider a third party cover, cases and S View cover, i've seen plenty of them yesterday in china, the quality is very good, the sad thing is, the rubber seal is not up to the standard to give you a proper seal and i'm sure it will now prevent water from getting in.

Think they ship internationall

Turn on. If magic smoke leaks out, it is impossible to get it back in. Return as defective.
^ lol welcome to the transformer club! check the serial on the box. if it says B50 or B60...i hate you if you dont already know why take a gander @ one of the many threads explaining it in beautiful detail.
ok well first you have to hack into the CIA....
But really. Download some good apps. You mostly dont have to worry about out of the box defects. On the App note, i highly Recommend a few apps like Wizz Widgets (some nice aesthetic and functional widgets), and WizzBar (sort of like a start menu you can access on any of the screens, very useful)
I am kinda wondering about the issue with white light leakage out of the LCD, or was that on the first runs?

i had the issue with my transformer, and honestly you REALLY do not notice it most of the time unless youre looking for it. but i had to RMA mine (my screen stopped working at some point) and my new one has yet to have the issue, so maybe just the first runs

If you return it you may get another with light bleed. I dont think anyone here has one with zero light bleed. You have a b40...which is rootable.
I say...play with it. if it doesnt bother you...keep it.
FYI All ips display devices have light bleeds. It's really luck of the draw. You can either try to exchange it for another one and hope there's no light bleed or you can keep this one.
Yeah keep it and play with and see if it bothers you or not. I have been through two transformers both with varying degrees of light bleed but I rarely noticed it unless the brightness was up full and dark images on screen.
Now go root it! (that doesn't sound right)
unles you got it dirt cheap return it and get a tf2

Sure will, but just cannot decide between all of ROMs. To me they all seem to be the same. What do you all recommend?
the light leak is quite common for most ips screens if not all... it doesn't bother me too much as it's only noticeable under dark light conditions
Well, doing some research on here it seems that mine has a problem with the buttons(power and volume) they are recessed to the point that they take more effort than should be needed to press them(talking about using a fingernail and pressing it in). Most likely will be returning it, but do not know if I should just get another one or get something else. I know the Prime is coming out either this month or next, but I did like the idea of NOT spending $500 for tablet.

Well, some members dispute whether I actually got it for $250 or $300. Staples had that $100 coupon for tablets. At the time, I also had about $50 saved up from a combo of rebates and printer cartridge recycling. I buy my cartridges by the boxes, so I only pay about 80 cents per cartridge. At the time, I was able to resell the empty cartridge for $3. So, it was a $2 profit for me everytime I used up a cartridge. They'd since decreased it down to $2, so I only make about $1 each cartridge nowadays.
You be the judge whether it was a $300 or $250 deal that I had.

[Q][Solved] Where to buy black (or other colors) battery cover or housing?

Cheers to all!
I want to buy HTC One SV, in my country (Germany) it is only offered in blue and white.
But as many other people here, i prefer the black back cover.

I found some websites which offer the black battery cover or the black housing, but everywhere its "Not in stock", other colour or sold out.
So, where can i buy the black battery cover or black housing?
Every suggestion is welcome.
Solved! Read here
I purchased the Black One SV on the web but it is the Asian version with different LTE frequencies so am about to return it for a refund. I too would like the black housing battery cover as here in the UK like Germany the only ones available are in white or blue. HTC have confirmed to me they don't supply the black one in Europe.
Could you please post the links of the suppliers that you found (even if out of stock)?
All i can tell you about the black cover is inside on the top left there looks like it might be a part number, maybe this will help.

Hello and greetings to UK So i'm not alone with this problem.
One link i have, is the one in the first post at rounded.com. This is only the back cover but out of stock. Seems to be located in the netherlands.
Another link i had is dead in the meanwhile.
And then there is the whole housing from here: https://www.gounlock.com/details.php?itemId=9035
This one is located in San Francisco and not really cheap (and i did not figure out how much shipping would really be).
I also have searched extensively and found nothing, anywhere. (apart from the ones you found) It would be easier to buy moon rocks it seems !!
lol
The housing at gounlock could be the one for me but with the shipping cost it will be very expencive. And i don't know if working nfc (located in back cover) is inside.
Where are the cheap "Hong Kong" backcovers which usually appear at ebay
Have you found it allready? Also searching for a black one!

At gounlock is 1 black housing available.
Another german guy found china mobile (?!) battery covers in black and he want to sell them in germany.
They have a "China Mobile" text on it. I don't know where he found them.
There seems to be a lot of blue and white ones available, but I haven't been abeln to find red or black one...
Yes, blue and white are the colours for European versions.
Did not forget this Thread, but for One SV i find nothing new.
But another idea is to buy a black cover for HTC One ST. It has the absolutely same size as One SV and looks very similar . Its only released in asia/china, as far as i know. I think it has the same Hardware.
But i don't know, if One ST has nfc inside.

Damn that's a huge nfc sticker
Plus it's only got two prongs those are for the NFC the other ones are for charging. The way I have been told if there are all 4 prongs then you got NFC and wireless charging.
You can do wireless charging you just have to use the LG Quickview case and the Duracell powermat. It'll only cost about $109 from an Att store. Im pondering it simply because the usb cable is a ***** to plug in.

It wouldn't wirelessly charge our AT&T phones bc our version uses PMA charging. everyone else has Qi charging. Those backplates are not compatible with the PMA charger bases
So it's not just a matter of how the chip in the back cover provides power to the pins? There's different internals or software regarding charging on the att g3? How are people buying qi chips and installing them? Or am I wrong on that?
Shoot. So the NFC chip isn't in the battery? Meaning if I use a case that replaces the back cover I lose NFC? That's less than ideal.

Are there any links to the specific hardware changes internally and/or software differences between the D850 and other variants in regard to providing the PMA capability? I'm looking for the specific changes made. So far I can't find that listed anywhere but keep seeing people referencing the PMA situation with the D850. I'm trying to see how deep it's tied to PMA. Is it voltage on those pins? Is it linked to a specific driver builtin or bundled with the kernel?
Looking for ways to ditch PMA.

Just found out.
There's a chip and management software. The software is likely a kernel driver and service loaded at startup. There isn't much difference between the two and it's easy for chip makers to make them dual mode and dual QI/PMA chips are already on the market.
It wouldn't be worth the headache to mod this unless you really like to tinker, can cannibalize a chip from another G3 and load a ROM for that other variant. Not worth it. You're better off buying or trading for a variant.

yes, you can buy good spare parts here. try google translate. normally you will understand enough to get through the ordering process. if not you can call me again. i will ask a chinese friend, but this will take some time.
Oh, that's great news @sebj84!
I tried Google translate. I see that I can buy wristband in either white or black color. However, I can't make purchase if I continue with "google translated" page. On original web page there is price USD 24.93, maybe there are additional costs for delivery.
I'd like to buy that wristband, but I'm not sure for international delivery and I don't speak the language. Well, if there is any option to buy it on ebay, Amazon... (or similar), I'd more than happy to buy there.
On this "Taobao" page... huh, I'd rather transfer funds (also to cover the costs for shipping) via PayPal to someone who is able to buy this for me.

On this "Taobao" page... huh, I'd rather transfer funds (also to cover the costs for shipping) via PayPal to someone who is able to buy this for me.

ok, if you can wait a little bit, there are more people asking me also on the g+ community.
actually i'm not good in chinese too, but i have some friends over there and i'm very near to china anyway (we have another factory there, and am there from time to time).
so if you wait, we can make an order all together and i'll ask my friend to organize this than for us. i just don't want to ask him every week, for this, so lets wait a few weeks to get all people who wants this together.
what you think?
Sure I can wait.

Thanks for this link. I don't understand a single character of Chines but I got through it all with Google Translate. The key is to set up an account first. I used translate on every page doing that. Set up a default shipping address in here. Once done add it to your cart. Then go to your cart and translate, check the item and settlement. It will want you to set an Alipay pin code. (just translate all the way through when needed). Once past that you enter your credit card info and then you are done. It took me 45 minutes to get through this but it was way cheaper than the other options.
I may have missed a step or two but you should be able to figure it out. I just bought a refurb watch and don't have it yet, but I wanted a spare and this was reasonably priced.
Don't bother. There is a hidden 115 yen logistics fee. I am in the process of a refund.

sorry you are right.... its yen. but isn't this almost the same? around 20 dollar
Yes it is Yuan, excuse my ignorance. I did end up going ahead with the order and the band is identical to the original, but seems slightly thinner and softer. And it works. It turns out to be half the price of the EBay leather covered band. Had it in Canada in 14 days.
How long does it usually take?

I have been waiting for 2 weeks I dont know if it will even arrive. How's the process on this?
I'm from the Philippines.
Hi! I own an LG Urbane 2 LTE, now the strap finally is showing the wear and tear and I'm planning to replace the strap (wristband).
Any idea where to get in 2018?
anyone got any idea what will stop working if the band is replaced with standard 22mm, I have read that it is related to LTE only, how about wifi and BT - are they affected, I will unlikely be using the LTE option so it doesn't matter if it doesn't work

I tried just a little and bt and wifi works, but I didn't test it to much.
I honestly believe that parts (the actual antenna's) of a broken band could be stripped out and remain connected to the watch for fitting of a standard 22mm band, this option would also fill the connections of the old original band maintaining the seal, I worked in electronics for years and carry out all repairs on my own phones - I have stripped down and repaired many, I believe my above suggestion could work, just a little care stripping out the old band
I don't think a regular band would end up looking right? Anybody actually try this?
New watchband supplier
I couldn't get through Taboo's website to order a new watchband there, Google translate didn't handle the pop-ups at checkout. But I found a website in Korea that has new bands, stock black or leather (sewn to stock black, apparently), $56. Seems pricey but it beats tossing my excellent LG Watch Urbane. Ordered & received new bands plus special screwdriver in about 2 weeks.

Samsung's official Emotional LED Case

Hi,
Samsung are going to release the new case along with the S10 range.
Found a vid on it.
https://youtu.be/ZjuoulQ6goM
I like it but can't find too much info on features etc.
I'm thinking of getting it but it's around £50.00 UK.
What do you guys think about it?
It's simple but there's something nice about it
Kam

I like it. I purchased that case along with the LED wallet case. Wasn't sure which one I wanted so I got both.
But I also wish there was more info about this case. Nobody seems to want to show off the cases or menu of the phone that much. They only seen to care about how well the cameras work.
Yeah exactly why I posted. There's hardly any information on the case or if they will upgrade it with more icons etc

Well it comes with about 50 (can't remember the exact number) but Samsung says on the website you can add an additional 60 I believe.
Nice. I'm going to ordering it then

Ok, just looked it up. It's 54 preloaded and the user can create an additional 60, per Samsung.
I saw this on youtube while im searching for official case for s10+... I really like but its $54. reminds me of Rolls royce starlight headliner.
I wonder if 3rd party case maker will make this kinda of cases.
I 've got one. IT have 10 preset led icon and can't add more icon or customize it. See pic...
That's the case I wanted in the beginning when I was going to get a free case from Samsung but then I had to pre-order from Best Buy. My husband who already had his order in with Samsung chose this LED wallet case that holds a credit card. He'll need a better strong case every day case too I really wanted to try this case and wish it had more colors. I am thinking the LED will show up better on the black. I am getting a Flamingo Pink S10 Plus. One thing about this case though the buttons are not covered up if you drop the phone I didn't really care for the sides of the case. I'd still like to see one in person and hear how you guys like it if and when you get one.

No, just show telephone icon.
I just went to the you tube video and it says has been removed by user. If Amazon has this which I haven't checked yet I have a $130 gift card so maybe I will try it. It just seems like the LED would show up better on the black but I like the white. But I read you can add up to so many more customizations right? So like you can have a different icon for different people that text you since they took the contact tone away which makes me so mad. I love the old bubbles at the top of the messages app too with favorites but since we got Oreo under contacts now it just has ringtones and vibration no text tone I've been debating whether to go back to Textra.

what kind of protection does it give? Is it raised from the front a bit so that i would take the impact in case the phone falls face down? It looks really nice but im not sure what kind of protection it would give.
Well my Samsung order shipped... Everything but this case. That's unfortunate...
So I just received the case, but I don't have a phone to go with it yet.
Can anyone confirm whether Samsung Pay via NFC works with this case or not? I thought I had read someone that it does not.

I have it as well and agree those are the only available to me. The settings for it seem very limited overall. I thought I would be able to assign different icons to different notifications (hello, missing LED notification light) and things like that.
Unfortunately I'm disappointed with it, so far at least. It does have a quick, cool, wow factor, but I need functionality if it's not going to offer maximum protection.
I've got this case.. it's pretty cool for showing off, but missing a lot of function.
1. NFC won't work with this case turned on. (Fortunately I don't really need NFC in where I live yet)
2. This case somehow blocks touch screen interaction when using wireless charger, can someone test this also? It's kinda weird.
3. Lack of costumization for icons or pattern.
4. When ever I use a wireless charger the led case will automatically turned off, but never turned on automatically so I have to turn on the led case again. (Probably better to use regular charger)
5. It lacks protection.
6. I wish there's a way to always on the led case. The mood light is pretty cool
That's for now I can find about this case.
I think most of it can be fixed by software update. But who knows.
Hope this help.
Unless samsung decides to improve the scope of what this case can do or someone is able to put something together to access functionality. I definitely wouldn't recommend this in its current state. I'm really disappointed.
