Nice Collection
wow
tnx i did looked for that!
Any chance you still have that flashable zip?
I have wanted a way to easily flash a zip immediately after flashing a new ROM that will import all my custom ringtones and SMS notifications.
I found a DIY-zip posted by maatsby. It was made for the Desire HD, and it might work just fine with our phones just as it is. I don't know a whole lot about flashable zips but I looked at the zip Synergy made for our GS3s to back up the EFS partition, and I modified the script of the original DIY file to match the same dev/block address for the system partition.
Followed the instructions maatsby had in the OP to put in my own files, flashed on Carbon 1.5 AOSP and it worked perfectly! You can give maatsby thanks in his thread
Here are the steps:
1. Download the DIY-sounds-GS3.zip
2. Open zip but do not extract it
3. Navigate through "system" until you get to the folder that you want to make changes to
4. Drag and drop your song in that folder
> e.g. if you want a new ringtone, navigate to "ringtones" folder and drop your song in to the ringtones folder
5. Delete the README.txt
6. Navigate to the other folders and add your songs there too
> If you don't want to add any other songs, just delete the README.txt files in each of the other folders
7. Nandroid backup
8. Flash in recovery
Well this is awsome
Make it so number one!
Thanks for this, it saves me a lot of time.
For those of you who want the Samsung Galaxy series water drop lock and unlock sound..
I've attached two zips... one is CWM Flashable and other is for people who are new to flashing it contains the sounds in ogg format.
You can do it either way.. :
Instructions:
For CWM Flashable ZIP: Just put the zip in your SD card and flash via CWM. No need to wipe anything.. Reboot :good:
For ZIP containing .ogg sounds:
1) Extract the ZIP you'll find 3 files: Effect_Tick.ogg, Lock.ogg & Unlock.ogg
1) Use Root explorer and copy the above 3 files into system/media/audio/ui/. And since you'll already have the original files with the same name in ui folder.. these filed will be saved as Effect_Tick-copy.ogg, Lock-copy.ogg & Unlock-copy.ogg.
3) Now change the permissions of these (copied) files exactly as the original files...
4) Delete the original files and rename Effect_Tick-copy.ogg to Effect_Tick.ogg and similarly for Lock.ogg and Unlock.ogg.
5) Reboot..
Done... :good:
Use only any one of the above method..
Hit Thanks if I helped !!
thanks,,,

The unlock / lock sound on most of custom roms is pretty much basic (same with miui).
So if you want to change it here is the process
(Disclaimer : I have tested this on my device, I take no responsibility if u damage ur phone by following this method. U r on ur own)
First, download the sound/tune that u want to set as lock/unlock sound, for example:-
1) door open / close sound
2) nubia red magic 3's unlock sound
3) page turning sound etc.
Now, using root browser go to below directory:-
/system/media/audio/ui
Click to collapse
in this folder find "lock.ogg" and "unlock.ogg"
backup and delete the stock sound, (in case, u can restore later)
copy the tune u downloaded earlier and paste it in the folder and rename it to "lock.ogg" or "unlock.ogg" or u can already rename the tune and then paste it.
Finally...Restart!!
Voilla!
I have set car lock sound as lock/unlock (both) tunes.
Enjoy, hit the thanks if it helps.:silly:
