I know it sounds strange, but its because the date and time aren't set correctly. Even if it's one minute off it'll cause issues. It's something to do with security; firewall will block some internet programs.
I set it to match internet time, then set it to auto update and it's been fine ever since.

are you talking about tablet time??i will check mine, also where do you set auto update??

if you want to change the settings of time's auto updating, go to Control Panel>Clock, Language and Region>Date and time>Internet Time (tab)> Change Settings there.. You must have checked the "Sychronise with an Internet time server" and the server must be "time.windows.com", then click "Update Now "and "Ok".
This will set your time auto update.
thanks for that,i did all that facebook app still no good,no content or news feed, just a blank page although i am logged in,never mind i can still access facebook through my browser, once again thanks

Suddenly I am unable to download from the market. When I tap install it just says downloading but won't progress past that. Anyone gave a similar problem or any suggestions for fixing?
Thanks.
P.s. I've tried using wifi and 3g both

can you download from the market before this?
i have same prob b4 but then its okay i think it is just because the connection.
try first to log into your google account somewhere in other app (gmail, gtalk. etc) then try market.
also try to connect using diff wifi sources you can find around you
I get this sometimes and I usually just turn my phone off and use google maps google voice and it works.
How weird...... just tried it myself and it's refusing to show my Downloads page.
Keeps saying a server error has occurred.

It was happening to me but I just took out my sd card and it started working.
This problem seems to have been around for 2 years now, but I haven't found any resolution online.
Using the "email" app on my Motorola Photon (the one with a @ inside an envelope)...I constantly get a "connection error". This is configured for gmail.
Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. It seems to be a problem regardless of whether I'm on wifi or 3G. I have Sprint, if that matters.
I don't know what's going on. The email app is configured to use iMap push.
Should I set it for pop email server instead, and just tell it to poll the server every hour?
Thanks.

I''ve had a similar issue with my boyfriend's phone. All I did was uninstall all the updates for the app, reset the phone, and then redownload the updates for the app. Seems to keep it working at least for a while.

Installed Atorrent app from market.
Tried downloading a couple of torrents (not large ones just 25Mb).
Good strong wi-fi connection but tablet rebooted 3 times and eventually I gave up. Had to turn wi-fi off and on to re-establish connection.
Anyone else tried download a torrent?
One thing that could lead a missconfigured torrent client to crash could be the number of active connections. If you set this number high enough you can make the app close.
What settings do you have configured?
Nothing special. Just downloaded and installed the app after looking at the feedback which said it worked fine on the Prime. Nothing but the standard settings, maybe I should try another app?

So after upgrading to marshmallow Portal doesn't work. It keeps trying to download even though everything been downloaded and then says there was an error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and each time it installs it downloads the data fine and let's me play. Once I close it and reopen it it does the same download and fails. Turning off wifi makes it work but that's annoying.
Is there a way to just stop the app from accessing internet as of my wifi was off?

Of course! Netguard. The best firewall for Android.

I tried all those apps and it still has the download and fail crap. I spend over an hour last night using all of those apps.
Did you configure Netguard properly?
I believe so. I'm fairly sure I've tried everything with the app. I tested it on Facebook and Facebook wouldn't connect.
You should block WiFi and mobile by default. Also, show and edit system apps! Maybe the game uses a system app to go online.
Looks like it uses Google Play services.
I hard reset my phone a few weeks ago. At some point since then I started getting full screen ads for Wish at various points through the day. It would be there when I turned the screen on two or three times a day. I changed some Bluetooth Auto Connect settings and got rid of that, but instead about twice a day when I turn the screen on the internet browser has opened with a new tab showing an article or advert I didn't ask for. I was using Samsung Mobile so I uninstalled it and switched to the stock Chrome, then I disabled it and tried Firefox. I've tried pop up blockers. I've scanned with the stock virus scanner (Avast) as well as AVG and MalwareBytes. They found nothing. The only thing that stops these pop ups is disabling Chrome and not having any other web browsers installed! Clearly that's not the best solution. I don't want to reset my phone again so soon. What else can I try?
Huawei P10, unrooted, Android 9, EMUI 9.1.0

You can try packet scanning with tools like wireshark on your PC. You will see every packet connection. You can identity the source of the problem with that.

Intriguing. I've had a quick look at the literature, it's going to take some time to figure out how to do that. Would I need to be connected to Wireshark when the problem occurs?
@TransformsIntoAGuitar
Have you tried disabling JavaScript to see if the ads still appear?
I recently started using FOSS Browser from F-Droid (downloaded via F-Droid application), and have not had any problems with it. Maybe give it a shot?

It's been nearly 24 hours and no pop ups! I'd normally expect at least 2 in that time. Thank you, it seems to have worked.

Actually, it didn't. As of yesterday the pop ups resumed and at slightly higher frequency.
I'm sorry that the pop-ups have returned, @TransformsIntoAGuitar. I hope you find out what/why is causing the pop-ups.
