Just contact samsung?
What? i knew this phone was bad but this says it all
Contact samsung man this is not normal
U should next time keep ur battery level over 40%. Usually, lithium batterys explose, if u got too low battery level. But thats not only reason for that.

Lithium batteries usually do NOT explode! Maybe you've had Bad luck with your battery. Contact Samsung and hope that they believe you

That sounds very weird man so you are now basicly saying don't get your battery level below 40% because your battery will explode that is just weird man
and it is not hard to get below 40% with this crapp phone! LOL

Everybody knows that most of the samsung batteries are rotten
I heard about the same situation in my country, samsung as recompensation gave brand new (at this time) S3 to the victim so good luck

An extra internal 50mah battery to make removable batteries hot swappable without a reboot. Or do only small numbers of people even have a second battery?

Like the idea but there have been occasions where I had to pull my battery. As for me I use one battery.

You have to replace the battery about once every 2 years. That shouldn't be a burden. You should be rebooting the phone more often than that.

The point of having a second battery is like if your first one is almost dead and you don't have charger you can use the spare. Its a good idea.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
That's a very good idea.
That means you don't have to turn off the phone to change a battery.
I don't have a secondary battery for now but, I'm thinking of getting one.
Well thanks for the replies. For some reason in my head I imagine swapping a battery like changing a mag in a gun. Pop a clip, slide it out and another in. Maybe a manufacturer will get around to it some day XD

This would be a good idea, but another user made a point about battery pulls, the phone would stay on as you attempt to force shut it down.
Also, boot times are getting faster and faster, and waiting for the phone to boot is not that bad anymore.

I don't think this is a good idea... One battery should last at least 2 days, to me the hot swapping thing is not practical.

A less than 5 inch screen will give us extra hours of battery and the good thing i am expecting is around a 6-8 hour of on screen time with wifi. So i guess it will help us in long hour browsing and this will be the key selling point of s4. Rather than the android versions and stock android competition with the upcoming motorola x phone.

My note has a 2500 mah battery and with a 5.3 screen i get 4 to 4 and a half hour of on screen time with browsing.
So a 5 inch screen with a 3100mah battery and a power efficient soc will definitely give 6-8 hours and thats when i will say that the phones have exceeded the usability of a laptop and notebooks. Many people including me are using their phone as primary device at work.
For me my note is my computer at hospital.

My last buy was a polarcell battery and after three mounth of use it has the same
capacity as the two year old original battery.
the original battery is my choice
Using the standard battery and 24 hours. This battery can be dangerous. Explode. Get the best selection of original new battery.

They might not be lying about the 3300 mAH but it's definitely not gonna last as much as you think because of the battery quality.
I VERY much doubt it will last more than the normal 2600 one.

I really hope it lasts better than the original. I don't expect 3300mah worth of battery life but atleast equivalent to 2800-2900mah...I currently get around 5:30hrs screen time... if this gives me 6:30hrs I'll be satisfied

Soo I finally put the battery through a full day of use and I must say that it does not live up to being a 3360mah battery, with that being said @ $26, it does hold up for about the same time as stock so I'll continue to use it as a back up. If I had to make this purchase again I wouldnt. You can get 2 anker batteries for the same price and they will last the same...
Here are some screenshots of my usage. I've been on wifi most of the time and about 3 hours or so on 3g. My usage involved lots of facebook, whatsapp, frequent web browsing using boat browser, a few youtube vids and a couple short calls...

Thanks so much for testing this out, I was contemplating on purchasing this also....I guess there's no other solution for longer battery life that would entail squeezing in a bigger capacity battery in the same amount of space.

I guess so too.. I would wait on one company though. Zero lemon may be releasing a 3000mah battery for the s4 and their batteries do not disappoint. I had their 2300mah battery for the s3 and it gave me around 1 hour extra screen time with about 3 hours extra standby. Zero lemon is highly praised in this forum aswell. To bad that battery isn't released yet...

I reached out to Zero Lemon today but they only replied back saying, "Thank you for your interest. For Galaxy S4 we only have the 7500mAh battery at the moment." ... doesnt seem like they have any future plans for a 3000mah but who knows...maybe...hopefully.

Well I can will take a screenshot after I charge it and then let it almost die. The whole point I am trying to make is that there are a TON of bigger batteries for the galaxy nexus line of phones and they work fine in this phone. So it is a good option for someone who is needing more battery life.

Yes I am aware of that. All I am saying is that 1950 and higher ml after market batteries are much more readily available for the galaxy nexus than the blaze 4G. This phone does not have a lot of accessories or battery options. It was barely marketed and I am just trying to help.

I agree with your point
Some ebay listings on aftermarket batteries will have multiple device codenames ( ex. T769).
We are lucky we don't use an exhilarate, those things are below marketed. Rare to find in public at that.
