[Q] Xperia C 2305 | SIM Cards Not Recognised - Sony Xperia C

Dear All
Not sure if anyone else is facing this issue. Whenever I restart my Xperia C 2305 for almost about a couple of hours, the SIM cards aren't recognised. To be honest, every so often, the SIMs get recognised, but immediately goes blank saying "SIM1: No Service - airtel" (similar with the second Vodafone SIM in the second slot).
Same is the experience when I swap the SIM cards (move them from first slot to second and vice versa). A few details of the handset as below:
Model: C2305
Rooted: yes
Build: 16.0.B.2.13
Been facing this problem since the last Build upgrade (16.0.B.2.6?)
Any ideas what could be wrong or how I can get this fixed?
Thanks a ton in advance

maybe you should try to reflash your phone...

Rooted Samsung I9000 sim card not detected

Hi All,
I've just got an Samsung Galaxy S that is coded to a provider network.
So far so good ...
After I've installed an application and root the phone and then unroot it, my pone doesn't recognize my sim card ...
If I navigate to the Mobile Network from Settings then I get No SIM card inserted.
Facts to take into consideration:
- I have restarted the phone;
- I have applied a factory reset and lost all my data except music and files I've got on it;
- I have shacked the SIM card a little bit;
- I didn't applied a hard reset to it;
- I did tried to put a different provider SIM card and the message I get is to insert PIN then is asking for the UNLOCK NETWORK PIN;
- I am able to log in the phone but with no service
Please note that when starting / restarting the phone I get no Insert PIN popup
Anyone has an ideea why ?
I've got the same problem saptaru.
No sim card is detected in my Galaxy S.
If you happen to solve it, please, do not forget to post a comment.
After dialing #*1234# I can read:
PDA:
PHONE: Unknown
CSC:
I guess the IMEI cannot be recognized by the phone.
At least, I wrote it before rooting and flashing.
Any help will be highly apreciatted!
Hello,
After several restarts, hard reseting the phone and enable-disable networking I still get the sim card removed from time to time ... I don't really know how to debug this... if there is anyone on this forum with the right experience in order to debug the system please write me and maybe we can find a solution.
I must mention that I have unlocked my phone and also rooted it.
Thanks allot !
I have same problem now, can anyone help.
well my sim card has been identified but i can't seem to register on the network.....thats as far as i got as a noob with my first android (xperia x8)......can someone help me from here on......
i get nothing from sims from various networks, it doesn't even register as having a sim in it...
unlocked and darkys rom... driving me crazy, it basically a large mp3 player at the moment...
Maybe have installed the wrong ROM. i9000 has many bases and radios. I had this problem installing 900mhz ROM on a 850mhz sim.
Good luck

Hmm, ok this might be the issue, flashing the htc desire is so much simpler!!
Will try to find correct radios and stuff again...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Even I am having the EXACT same issues right now. I also did the factory reset but that doesn't help!

Have the same problem here. Have you managed to find a solution?
Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone is still interested but I've found that putting the phone into flight mode and then rebooting seems to work, because when I then turn flight mode off it asks me for my pin code and service is restored. As long as the IMEI folder is still in the efs folder then things should be fine.
Hope this helps for anyone who is here or just stumbles across this.
I've had the same problem > Sim Card not found.
I went to the Vodafone repair center today they said the phone had water damage.
Its never been near any water ever-they said that it could have happened months ago - "perhaps you hand wet hands once?". Its still in warranty but the apparent water damage means the warranty its now invalid. So now I'm stuck with an expensive video/audio player with WiFi access. Any help or progress with this issue would be great. Thanks
I fixed the issue bu flashing a working Modem from another rom. Just extract the modem.bin and flash it with odin
sim not discoverable

1) Are you sure it's not a carrier problem?
2) Did you try to put the sim in the second slot and see if it's working or not?
yes i changed sim but the problem still being

Try the second sim on the first slot bro and see if it's working. Also, try to contact your carrier from another phone to see if there is a problem with the network. You have to do all these tests so you can be sure that is not a carrier problem but a phone's problem.
THE PROBLEM NOT FROM THE carrier becuse i tryed all ways change sim, put sim into another device, put another sim in device

You could try using pc companion to fix you phone mate and see if it's working.
You have to take a backup though because probably will loose all you data.
i flash it by the same rom 4.1.1 and the problem is still

It's a device problem then bro (hardware).
You did everything. You tested your sim in another device, flashled the rom again, changed the sim to the second slot. The only thing left is the Sony service center in my opinion.
Try to contact sony via Facebook and ask them where is a service center in near your town.
how i can try for repair it by pc companion

Download Sony update service and follow the instructions bro
i take it to repairman and he said the problem is from the serial num
That is not device problem. I got the same issue with Xperia Tipo Dual after installing MIUI rom. Tried several builds - SIM not detected. The solution is to flash original firmware back. Now SIM's are recognised again.
im downloading another rom, i will flash it again
i flashed a custom rom but no signal again. any one have idea?

[Q] xperia J security system problem(about sim card)

Try this :
Flash STOCK ROM and wipe all data/stats/cache
Restart your device and try few other sim cards! See if the problem persists!
If it does, kindly write back and we will look into it in details!
i think that there was some problem in the "Phone.apk" of the custom rom you used. i have seen such cases in the forum before. Now your mainboard has to be changed

SIM not working

Greetings!
I bought Magnus last November and everything seemed to work fine until now.
The phone is now not recognizing both SIMs simultaneously.
First I thought it might be a hardware problem with the SIM slots but have made sure that both the slots are working fine and so are the SIM cards.
I found out that the SIM 2 gets activated only when I turn SIM 1 off in the SIM Management settings, otherwise there is no network recognition.
I’ve also tried removing recently update apps etc but alas!
Any ideas or anyone went through the same before?
Thanks in advance!

Abhinav

I am giving some shots at home before I go to the service center, its horrifying!
Last night I did a factory reset on the phone but alas the problem still persists.
Before flashing it, can I try Hard Resetting it? Will it make any difference?
Thanks in advance!

Working link for the Stock ROM?
I hope it will not be different from the one that is pre-installed.
Another strange behavior which I noticed today:
(Original SIM Cards: SIM1 : Vodafone, SIM 2 :Reliance)
I swapped the SIMs just for the sake.
But this time instead of SIM 2, SIM 1 is showing the same problem which is Reliance in this case.
Can there be a problem with the Reliance SIM Card?
Will be testing it by replacing a 3rd SIM soon.
Regards,
Abhinav
Bro Bro listen......
I think there is problem with your Reliance Sim card..Phone is working fine...IF there were any fault in the Phone in the SIM 1 then it wouldn't have detected the Vodafone Sim...
BTW try With a new Sim..Until then no need to flash the stock Rom...
If the problem persists then just comment here..will try my best to guide you

I tried another SIM as SIM 2 & Vodafone as SIM 1. It worked fine & the original Reliance SIM is working fine on another phone as well.
I called up the Reliance Service Centre, told them about the probelm & they said that this is some network issue & my complaint will be resolved within 3 days!
Now the problem is beyond my understanding, as I swapped the Sim cards again, Vodafone as SIM 2 & the other one as SIM 1
& to my surprise it is not working and showing the same behavior although it was working fine before!
The original Reliance SIM is still working fine on a separate phone!
Now what bothers me the most is, Is that even possible to be a network error?
But I can now give a try to flashing the stock ROM, but I need to be assured that it'll be the original ROM and will not void my warranty.
If so, then please provide me a working downloading link for the same as I have already downloaded SP Tools!
I just came across this post in the forums:
" Try downloading mmx canvas stock recovery from below link and follow steps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...1&d=1370782052
Put file recovery.img in your root of sdcard
Use MTKDroid tools to flash it instead of MobileUncle Tools"
Will this help or the original ROM?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Abhinav
SOLVED
Sorry for being a little late.
The problem was with the Reliance network!
When I called them up they said they will look into it.
And weeks later they called back and said that this is a very common problem which has now been solved and they refer to it as
" Cross Connection Error "
I don't know what the hell is wrong with them!
Anyways, thanks a lot for replying.
