the thing about titanium backup does not matter you can just skip past it or hit cancle it works either way. the official CWM 5.xxx by Kouch is bugged and does not work. use team rouge's recovery it is also based on 5.xxx but it works.

Hello Friends,
I had flashed Micromax_A110_jellyBean_stock_CWM_Paplu3 using CWM sometime ago.
Later on when i try to use CWM again for flashing another rom, it does not start. The recovery option directly runs a factory reset.
I tried to reflash CWM using mobile Uncle MTK tools and that did not help and i later found out that it may not work for JB.
Then i tried SP flash tools to get CWM recovery, the process said it was success and got a green ring, but still the CWM does not come up and directly runs a reset factory. Since the rom was pre-rooted, I unrooted(permanent) it from superSU and tried the SP tool process again which shows apparent success. But still CWM does not come up when selecting recovery mode.
Can some kindly help me install CWM again so that i use other ROMs.
Regards

Hi
I have been using MIUI custom ROMs for quite some time.
I am using 4EXT Recovery Touch with SMARTFlash ON and my device is not S-OFF
Yesterday I installed the latest version (full ROM) and these are the steps I followed.
1. clear dalvik+cache
2. format all partitions (except sd card)
3. installed new ROM
4. Reboot
Now it is stuck at the white HTC logo screen and is not moving past that screen.
Then I tried to reinstall the previous version of the ROM which was working on my mobile that dint help either.
Also later I tried to restore my existing backup by clearing the dalvik+cache, formatting all partitions and then restored. This also dint help..still stuck at the htc logo screen.
Can you please help.
Thanks

i think you need to update your 4ext recovery version
also try to flash the boot.img via fastboot command
I am not sure, but for fastboot to work we need to have the USB debugging options working isnt it? Since I flashed the ROM now. I am not sure if fastboot would recognize my phone. As I said I am not sure, I will try it out and let you know. Thanks for the help

I recently got my phone to work by installing philz recovery, but when I flashed a custom ROM it changed my recovery to cyanogen recovery. Now I cannot get back to philz and the new one won't even let me do a backup. It sucks I want philz back. Can someone tell me what went wrong.
When I installed titanium it says I am not rooted anymore, what happened
Boot into fastboot and flash philz using fastboot commands.
Under Developer Options, you can disable Cyanogen recovery.
Good evening!
Just wanted to update my girlfriends mi4i from an Kitkat Ferrari rom to a newer one. I had an older twrp on the phone, the one that came with the toolkit for mi4i. For the newer rom i should have at least twrp 2.8.7.. . I found a ferrari twrp 2.8.7 and flashed it per flashify. All went fine. Rebootet all worked. So i wanted to install new rom. In recovery i did n factory reset, which didnt finish. I had to abort it after 15min.
Since then, device wont boot beyond bootscreen. When i try to boot into reovery, i just enter fastbootscreen.
I thought, ok t least fastboot. But when i try to flash any recover through the toolkit, it seems lime all is going well (no errors) but it does not upload the file.. It says in 1,4seconds.. File was sent.. Which is definately wrong 30 mb in 1,4seconds.
Is there anything left i can do?
No working recovery and no working fastboot does sound fuctup?
Thanks for reading
Flash MIUI via Fastboot, it should be fine.
BTW You can never install MIUI via Custom Recovery.
Just to finish. Was able to do a fastboot rom flash.
Worked. Solved
