[UPDATED for 5.0+ roms 1-29-15]Turn off power saver icon via terminal - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Here is the new way to disable powersaver icon without using xposed as now we r s-off unlocked on All sense Lollipop builds.
Download Android terminal emulator in play store
Open terminal
Type su to grant super user
Next type the command below
pm disable com.htc.htcpowermanager/.powersaver.PowerSaverNotificationReceiver
Make sure to use capital letters where I did
Also I did it with powersaver turned off then after I disabled it I turned on powersaver. Icon will be gone.
If this helped you please hit the thanks button.
Thanks to @DucatiMon for testing on different Roms.
Screenshots r from KitKat. Will update those asap.

Does anyone know what HTC setting number powersave is? I would like to enable it by using Sq editor and changing the values for quick_settings_items. So that powersave can be a toggle in quick settings. Any help in finding the number would also be appreciated.

Nope, didn't work for me. I even tried a soft boot after so I wouldn't loose root.

In terminal type su
This next part is case sensitive
pm disable com.htcpowermanager/powersaver.PowerSaverNotificationReceiver
Then reboot. It will work for sure when system is rewrite so it might work now for those you used app to turn on power saver.
I saved this from my evolte days.
I also used same method on my m7

I never just had root before without system rewrite able. But it should still work. It definitely is the way to get rid of the icon.

[APP] XperiaReboot

Hey!
I noticed a lot of stuff going around the forums about people not knowing how to get into recovery, so I created an application that reboots you into the recovery.
The app requires superuser permissions to execute a shell command used to reboot into the recovery.
What it basically does:
You click "Enter Recovery" and it boots you into recovery, or you click exit, and the app exits.
Do I need to do anything else (IE - do I already need to have booted into the recovery before?)
No, as long as you have a recovery installed then this app will boot you into recovery.
Download is in the attachment.
Keiran.

Comes up on my android market as free. That's odd that it doesn't for you.
I have the apk for it but dont know if I list it here if I will get into trouble. I will email DoomLord and ask for his permission and get back to this thread either way letting ya know.

[MOD] Smart Rotate and Blocking Mode icon Remover

I knocked this together for the i9300, and thought I'd add the i9305 to the list too.
Obviously I've not tested it as I don't have a 4G one yet.
Anyhow, there's two mods, one that removes the Blocking Mode icon (just the 'enabled' icon from the notification area) and also adds the Smart Rotate option into the Display config menu. The other just adds the Smart Rotate option, and leaves the Blocking Mode alone.
Original Post is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943987, if someone test's and lets me know (you may need to do a Dalvik wipe, especially if on an Odex rom). If you then let me know when new Framework version other than XXALI9 comes out I'll keep it upto date.
going to test now I really wanted this feature

Tested On DEODEXED XXALI5 and It flashes normally, I wiped Dalvik Cache, Boots up fine but there is abosolutley no change in settings. Is this because I need to be on XXALI9 ? I dont see how the Firmware versoin could be the problem they are the exact same file name and structure. One thing tho why isnt there a deodexed version of this because i have a feeling this is the problem. I checked in system/app and the file name Secsettings.apk Is still the original one no date change or size change
Flashed here over ripper rom and blocking icon shows here too

I was asking myself the same question. Everyone talking about this in different threads mention prop editors like ROM Toolbox Pro, so maybe you need to use one of them.
Yeah text is text but you know, nobody ever wrote "Just edit the file with any text editor.."
Is that because Android is Linux / Unix based and editing the file with a text editor could put ^M at the end of each line causing some weird bugs?
Read it

LITE version in Google Play
P.S. Note that as of moment when I posted this message latest PRO and LITE versions are not yet appeared in Google Play, it will take ~2 more hours before v0.17 appear there.
Community Edition v0.17 is already uploaded to it's thread.
works great, disabled navbar completely and using pie controls now via GravityBox =)
cheers
I really want to try this... But I don't want to break my phone
I followed the instructions and the app kind of worked, but it didn't remove the existing navbar. It instead made a new one on top of it. I read the FAQ and didn't see anything on this.

You must meet all the requirements and then reboot. I'm assuming you forgot to install busybox?

I confirm this app works
Sent on my Moto X
Just risked it. Worked exactly as described.
I must be doing something wrong then. Carry on!

Guys, don't use dangerous method on moto x, cuz it may Brick the phone. Hide navbar through xposed module, that's safe.
P.S. BusyBox is required only for dangerous method. I forgot to remove checks after I added safe way.
I did the safe method. And it works fine. You just have to mess around with xposed and soft reboots for everything to work.
what is the easiest way to install busybox? i have framework and stuff running right and SU lists UDN as having root rights. so i think busybox is the only thing im missing?

Nevermind, I'll remove this message for this, who use xposed to hide navbar. BusyBox is needed only for dangerous method.
Update:
This app is working well now. I had to soft reboot exposed after enabling the module instead of reboot... After I had enabled exposed again. Noob problems.
