Is this working for anyone? I have searched the know issues logs and read a huge chunk of the development forum and I can't find any information about whether it works or not, for me currently it does not. I know it's probably not used very much by other people but I use it quite a bit and would greatly appreciate some help on whether it works or how to get it to work?

How do you add this command using ROM toolbox Pro?

I figured it out. You have to go to Build.prop editor within Romtoolbox Pro to add this entry.

What version of CM10 were you using?
I'm on the latest stable build, and I tried this and had no luck
(HDMI out worked on jellybean leak.)
Is their any other way to get it working?

Edit:
changed HDMI to hdmi, and cleared cache(x2)/dalvik cache
I was useing cm 10 and it works perfectly . Just download rom tool box go to build prop editor touch the plus sign find ro.hdmi then I the value section select true. Also make sure you reboot as it does not always ask you to.

Is it possible to edit /system/build.prop by a text editor?
I did that, I rebooted the device, but HDMI is still not working.
Does it needs to be compiled or something like tat?

I was asking myself the same question. Everyone talking about this in different threads mention prop editors like ROM Toolbox Pro, so maybe you need to use one of them.
Yeah text is text but you know, nobody ever wrote "Just edit the file with any text editor.."
Is that because Android is Linux / Unix based and editing the file with a text editor could put ^M at the end of each line causing some weird bugs?
Read it

thanks for getting the right link. the app installs fine on my viewsonic gtablet, however, when I try to login, I get an unsupported device error.
Can someone get the right build.prop to spoof the build fingerprint and the model name? ... maybe that fixes the issue?

It only works on the Nexus 7 the first run after installation after it asks you to log in. Once you close the app you have to reinstall it in order to use it again. Otherwise you get the unsupported device error. Maybe if you log out after each use it will work?

Not log out, but if you clear the data (which then requires you to log in again).
Works on my gtablet .... however needed to go back to froyo (beastly-clemsyn) from DRH ICS. Same behaviour as observed by others -- need to clear data before each login otherwise get the unsupported device screen

Just download es file explorer from playstore(or other root explorer)

Anyways if its not a .zip then its impossible to flash with recovery...this doesn't mean all zips are flashable tho...what makes a zip flashable is an updater script located in meta-inf/google/android/ (I think that's the location...)

Guys, don't use dangerous method on moto x, cuz it may Brick the phone. Hide navbar through xposed module, that's safe.
P.S. BusyBox is required only for dangerous method. I forgot to remove checks after I added safe way.
I did the safe method. And it works fine. You just have to mess around with xposed and soft reboots for everything to work.
what is the easiest way to install busybox? i have framework and stuff running right and SU lists UDN as having root rights. so i think busybox is the only thing im missing?

Are you use the .ogg file format or what are you doing?
I've tried that, as various names as in Power on.ogg etc.., even making it a wav and or a mp3 and putting it in my system/media folder. S**** even tried some script tool that I had to run thru terminal emu. Lol
I'm still partial to the Nexus Ones lightening X. I had one for my Galaxy Nexus but nothing for the high Res.

@pendroz - here you go, it was simple enough. Just had to edit the desc.txt file in there for our screen size. See if this works for you.

Let me look into it and I'll get it fixed. Thought it would be really easy to just change the desc.txt file. Our phone might require the exact screen dims.

How hard would it be to get this resized for a Nexus7? Also going to be working on a Graffiti themed rom, would you be interested in doing something for that? I would gladly make a donation.

I'm part of a team of guys that do boots, would you mind posting your request over in our Bootanimation thread (link in OP)? I don't want it to look like I'm "going rogue", so to speak. I started this thread as a way to try to get more boot requests. If I or anyone else there does something you feel is killer, donations are much appreciated, but not required, obviously. Bottom line is I'd be glad to hook you up as soon as I take care of the requests above.

@pendroz, @popshovit, @holeshot77 - Okay, I'm sorry about the earlier issues, but I've made it so you can now flash this bootanimation in recovery to apply it. I've also tested it on my phone so I know it works.
