I use this tablet mostly for reading ebooks which I highlight a lot. What I have noticed is that it is unable to display yellow which has an obvious green tint. When the texts are highlighted, it doesn't look yellow at all. I have replicated the same result in SketchBook so it seems to be a screen issue. The Tab3 8 has no such issue. Since I was doing photography and did quite a bit of calibration, I am aware every panel is different. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.
Please see here.

Thanks for the link. Looks like there is no solution however. I wonder what good the sketchbook is if it cannot display yellow.
Well it's not like it's not there . . . it just looks like crap . . LOL . . but yes I know what you mean.
Potential deal breaker for people wanting this as an art tool.
Me, I just live with it. At times I love how nice the screen looks and at times I dislike the pentile display or the inaccurate yellows. More times than not though the display is great for me.
Am I right that both Note PRO 12.2 and Note 10.1 2014 have this problem? Which device can display better yellow?
My yellows look fine. Compared with every other device I own, note 2, Note 3, S3, My tv, 54, droid Maxx, they are all nearly the same The 12.2 looks nigh identical to my Note 2's screen besides blacks not as dark

Have you checked out the 2nd post in the above link? All my other tablets are fine except the 12.2 which has the muddy yellow (actually doesn't look yellow at all) looks exactly the same as the picture being shown. Since the screen works perfectly in every other way, I doubt it's a manufacturing defect.

Thanks. Care to snap a pic showing both units with DHL website? I would be damned if mine is defective since it has been rooted.
If I go to the DHL website on my 12.2 and Nexus 10. The 12.2 looks more yellow than the N10. Took the pic with an N5 and it shows a shade of yellow more orange than the 12.2 but less than the N10 on the same site.

So, there is no fix to this yellow-crap issue? What the heck is doing Samsung?
This is BAD!!!

I got my HOX yesterday to substitute my galaxy note. Loving it so far. However, the screen seems to have the colors washed away. I realize that I moved from an amoled display to a LCD, but I just want to make sure this is to be expected and I don't have a faulty unit.
This is mostly noticeable on the xda app, where the colors on the threads page seem to be very washed out compared to my galaxy note.
See third post for pictures of the screen.

I think you would need to take a picture to actually show the screen issues you are talking about. With a pic, it may still be hard to see it. Screenshots will not show any defects with the screen hardware.
:banghead:
You're right, I will upload a pic later today.
Thanks
edit ---
Here are the pics. You're right, it is hard to notice, but hopefully somebody has seen both devices first hand and can share their opinion.

AMOLED screens are going to be a bit cold (blueish) so when comparing a LCD screen to an AMOLED screen, the LCD screen will appear to be warmer (yellow). But now compare it to another LCD screen from another phone and see what color it looks like then.
To be honest, I prefer the color of my LCD2 screen to my Galaxy S II SAMOLED+ screen.
Thanks for the info, will compare it to another LCD screen to get some perspective.

I think the colors are just fine. But to be sure you can take it to local at & t store and do some comparison with the display units that they have out there.
Sent from my HTC One X on Leedroid's ROM v5.0.0.
I had the Note for about 3 1/2 weeks, went back to my iPhone 4 for about 3 1/2 weeks, and then to the One X last week. I think the colors are just more accurate on the One X than what was on the Note. You're One X looks fine to me. I know you realize that the Amoled screens are all over the place with color accuracy and can really skew ones idea of what colors are supposed to look like. The colors are super oversaturated, often times the wrong hue, and everything has a blue cast to it.
If it's any comfort, I too, moved from a Samsung AMOLED screen and thought the HTC one x was experiencing issues with color. Too me, it all seems very warm and yellowish...but looks like that's pretty normal when I compare it to any other LCD.
Thank you all for your feedback. I have a record of bad luck when it comes to getting new cellphones, there is always an issue with the one I get.
This one is looking very, very solid so far. The only thing bothering me was the screen, but now I know it's supposed to be that way. I guess my mind got used to interpret blue as white due to the amoled screen of the note.
I imagine time will make it look better and better as I adapt to it.

My screen looks exactly like yours, its somewhat warm (yellow) and I'm not a fan. The demo unit at my local store looks perfect so I'm just waiting for inventory to flush a little maybe before trying to swap.
I bought 3 note pros, 2 were bought as soon as it was released here in Canada for my father and girl friend, and another one just few days ago for my self.
then i found out as soon as turned the new one on, the white color produced by later wasn't quite white compare to the ones i bought several month ago. and maximum brightness wasn't as bright as the first two as well.
so i decided to exchange, went to the future shop with my girlfriend's tablet to show the difference in white color and brightness. I opened up a new box right in front of customer service and guess what it has same problem. I asked for another set and the technician refused to do so saying there's nothing wrong with the unit. so i took my girlfriend's tablet out and show him how bad the screen is compared to old tablet and told him me being picky with 800 dollar tablet's screen is normal, he could not say a thing and opened up another box telling me he would not open up another one anymore because "company cannot make any money selling openbox item" which i think is DEFECTIVE UNIT rather than open box. He said he will do return if i am still not satisfied. (Can they really do that? seriously? now i am thinking i might complain this matter to head now..)
anyway the new one had the same problem, so i had to return the unit that they will not exchange anymore regardless... and went to best buy across the street and the first unit i opened was same thing again so i just kept it assuming Samsung might have changed the panel or something.
my point is.. LCD panels used in later batch of note pros might be differ from the first batch and it is really bad compare to the first batch.. or i am just being super picky.....
i will take a picture later tonight to show you guys as well.
is anyone having similar problem with recently purchased unit?
Are the screen modes all set the same across all three devices? (Referring to Settings--> Device--> Display--> Screen Mode, also check Reading Mode is off).

Yes thats the first thing i did. Ser brightness to max, reading mode off and tried 3 different modes one at a time.
Odd. Ironically there were early complaints that the display doesn't do yellows well lol.

I have the same exact problem. The yellow and green have 'black dots'. It looks awful! Is there any solution?
Last night while using my phone in the dark, the brightness set down low, I noticed on sites that were darker themed that there is an odd anomaly in my screen. There is a line (that reminds me of a hair, maybe an eyelash) that only shows when the brightness is low. I was able to take a picture of it with my girlfriends G3, though it's much more noticeable when you're using the phone, as it's stationary when you scroll.

This is my first Super AMOLED screen in a while, but I don't remember anything like this before.
If it truly bothers you i'd see if your carrier will exchange it for you. I had a notification light go out and tmobile exchanged it forb $5. You'Lloyd get a refurbished device, but eliminate this issue.

You realize the lights are so bright in store something like this would never show up, right?
Actually, those spots are not considered a defect in Samsung's eyes. The spots are the nature of producing amoled screens. My old PSVita(3g wifi) model are riddled with these ink spots that are only visible on a black background in a very dark environment. Also my s3 and s4 had them. Not all of them has these spots and some are more prevalent than others. It's just the luck of the draw when it comes to this matter.

Hello guys,
I noticed a slight misalignment with my fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 3 White 128 GB. I'm not sure if this is a singular issue or if it affects all other Pixel 3 phones / only this charge. I'm not sure if I should return it / get a new one (bought it today).

Are you sure? I decided to take a magnifying lens. I also heard about this "issue" in a Youtube video about the Pixel 3. It's just a slight line, maybe less than a mm, but it's stil there - on a thousand dollar product.
Or maybe I am wrong. This is something difficult to notice. And only from a certain angle. Maybe you guys can try to reproduce it on your devices?
Maybe only the Clearly White 128 GB charge of the small Pixel 3 is affected. Who knows.
Looks a bit misaligned to me. Mine isn't off center like that, so they're not all that way. Question is if it works ok how OCD are you? Only other thought is if it's not sealed well enough it might allow moisture to get in, but that's the only possible risk I can see if it works well.
I have the same issue on my 128gb white one
same issue on my 64GB not pink @@

Its an optical illusion, as you are looking at shadows through glass. You can see in your second photo, if you remove the "depth" of the shadow layer, the fingerprint sensor sits right in the middle.
Look at the back of your pixel and hold it upside down. Look more normal? Now turn your pixel to the side..any difference?
You can also try looking at it in a semi-dark room. You wont see any shadows, it should look normal.
same issue on my white 64. at first i thought it was just the back glass etching. but it is slightly off center.
Just got my pixel 3 white 64gb and mine is off to the left. Can't un-see now... hopefully the iprating isn't compromised
Just got mine today and same thing, the google expert said nothing wrong. I sent pictures. Same thread on reddit, but i pushed the sensor and it does shift to cover the space, for everyone saying its an optical illusion.
Somewhat related to this, Got a Pixel 3 that had sealing adhesive coming out from top right of the phone. There was not a lot of goo coming out but definitely not acceptable for a $800 phone. It seems the tolerances on Pixel 3 to push them out to market are not great.
Does a real picture of the exclusive Samsung colors exist? I want to see what they look like in real life before i decide to order one or not. More specifically, I'm trying to figure out if the edges of the graphite colored phone is going to be a black/dark like the phantom black, or will it have a chrome/metal looking side. It's hard to tell on the render they have in the website. From the from view it looks black/dark and from an angle it looks Chrome.

My Graphite order hasn't changed, it still says heading to my country. On a separate note, I finally went into Curry's to have a play with a S22 Ultra, it was the 8Gb/128Gb model. And my word it was super fluid and fast at doing everything I tried on it. Opened lots of apps, repeatedly...

My Graphite S22Ultra is still waiting to be delivered, hopefully not long now.

Thanks. I really just to know that it's going to look like in real life... Not on some rendered picture that might look different from what it really looks like
You can check out some reviews on YouTube...
Try browsing Reddit Galaxys22, plenty of Samsung exclusive pictures in there.
Flossy Carter did a video of the Red one earlier today, I have 2 Graphite ones. I'll take a picture in a moment and post it.
Edit: It has a lamp on top so it looks a little brighter than normal.

That looks really nice. Does it have a shimmer or metallic touch to it or is it completely matte?
My burgundy looks more like purple... Never knew Samsung to actually match the true colors for their actual phones once you have them in your hands. All a moot point anyways since it is truly just the 1% that rock this phone naked without a case or at least a skin.
