I'd love to see something on it, i've been using it for a while and i believe it's pretty good for its cost. Especially the call and alarm vibration are the most important characteristics for me.

Someone already did:

I think the band is major, save trying to see the display in direct sunlight. Definitely win for the money. The upgraded official app is much better than the initial one. Too bad my Note 1 doesn't have BLE, looks like it's time for an upgrade. . .

How do you use the call vibration? It is not working for me just if the Vidonn app is running... (I have Samsung S4)

I'd love to use it as a call or alarm notifier for calls, messages etc cause my phone is on silent 24/7...

This is really useful, i wish it could support call notification ,too

i want it

I'm using a lot and appreciate the vibrate alarm and clock function, for these characteristics would be worth the expense. He is not very accurate for calculation activities, but I believe that no wristband pedometer that only use either (no GPS), since actions like brushing your teeth can be confused with an activity (walking or running). But with the function of analyzing a specific activity, it is more accurate at this point then is another good feature. To end it does not depend on a software as has a LED screen and is still easy charging, since he alone is already a usb.

what is the price
i would like to know the price of this bracelet, i search it on their website but i couldn't find the price

I can't believe this company is still alive. Many years ago I worked for Pogo Mobile which had a similar device but we went bust due to lack of funding. Ran Mokady took control and then a month later shut the business down.
Real shame to see a British company with a great product in the making go under. We had a great new device in development too that was smaller than the Jam. Oh well.

[APP Recommendation] Gravity Screen - On/Off

Hi guys! Here’s Co & Do’s APP Recommendation Channel!
We are all fans of Android and are thrilled about variety of productive, funny and easy-to-use apps, no doubt (this curiosity is our secret of making such a great app like AirDroid, to be honest).
Remember the classic scenes of Professor X reading the mind of others in X-Men? It’s pretty cool. But we know that’s not real. How about apps that can read your mind? That’d be much much cooler! Co & Do’s Channel this week is gonna recommend you such an app that will “read” your mind: Gravity Screen - On/Off by Plexnor.

Unlike other apps, you’ll be greeted by a row of settings instead of icons when you open this app:
Seemingly complicated? Nope! You’ll find this app quite simple when you continue.
How It Works:
Gravity Screen *On/Off determines whether to turn on or off your phone’s screen by using gravity sensor and proximity sensor of your phone. It is also based on screen orientation and motion detection.
To be more specific, the phone’s screen will be turned on automatically when it detects that you’re holding the phone. Any small movements of the phone will turn on the screen, too. If the phone has been placed onto a table downward or been put into the pocket, the screen will be turned off. See how the magic performs with the following video:
If you leave all settings of this app as default but find it doesn’t work properly on your phone, you may try increase/decrease the angles at which the screen will be turned on/off or modify the sensors’ sensitivity level. Customized settings usually perform better than default ones:
Generally, this app works well on my phone most of the time. But according to the developer, the accuracy of this app varies from one phone to another, which mainly depends on the preciseness and accuracy of your phone’s sensors. It is recommended to do some tests before you start using this app.
One thing that may bother you is the battery. Personally, I don’t experience serious battery drain issue with this app. One tip for saving battery: place your phone face down when you don’t use it.
Feel excited about this app? Does anyone think about installing this app on the phone with a broken power button? I did. I was thrilled when I found this app at first, thinking that I can use my Nexus 4 normally though the power button is broken. But then Dora reminds me, “Hey, so you need to make sure that your phone’s battery will never die.” That’s indeed true. But it doesn’t really matter. Not all of you suffer the same pain as me. Anyway, just give it a shot. And don’t forget to share with those whose power button is broken, may be a lifesaver
Gravity Screen - On/Off is available on Google Play for free. It also provides a pro version which will cost you $1.97.

Just got a gear S3 and got some questions!

Just got one for a father's day gift and I've been using the watch for the past week. Love it, but can't stop feeling that I'm not using it to its full potential. Thought maybe if I got some questions answered here, I would feel better.
1. what's the GPS, Wifi options for on the watch? I don't have GPS on right now, but Wifi is enabled. Not sure what app uses it, but I thought everything was connected to the phone through BT, so didn't need additional connections on the watch. Can someone clarify?
2. The weather app that's pre-installed is slow to refresh...meaning when I travel from city to city, I want to know what the weather is like in the next city (current temp, etc.), but can't for the life of me figure out how to manually refresh current location?
3. I only can read the last message in a string of text messages....is there no way to look at all unread on the watch?
Thanks in advance for your help guys!
Gps: use for workout apps, tracking distance, Mapping, directions. Wifi in case you don't have phone nearby-can use Wi-Fi service where you are. The Gear S3 can operate on its own, without having to be connected to the phone.
Weather app- well you can manually refresh it and it should update when you so that. Also many weather apps available for it.
Messages - you should be able to scroll up once you click on the person, to see previous messages.
It can be a stand alone phone-if you left your phone at home and it's on, you can use the watch as a phone and receive and make calls on it, as long as it was Bluetooth connected to the cell phone before you left.

Baby monitor app & notifications not working for deaf user

Hi all,
I'm deaf and recently had a newborn baby - the existing baby monitors for deaf people aren't very effective and due to the massively thick walls of our house, the monitor range only reaches less than 15% of our house and have no coverage in the kitchen & living rooms, the two most important rooms. So I'm looking into using an old smartphone with a baby monitor app. I've found Dormi which seems to work OK, and it shows up notifications in my phone's notification bar, however, nothing comes into the Gear, it keeps saying "No notifications received". I tried a test Whatsapp message and the notification comes up OK, and all other notifications works fine. I've double checked the settings and it shows that the baby monitor app notification for the Gear is enabled?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hey,
I noticed that the notification sync is not always that good and not all notifications are supported.
Notification cannot have the "Ongoing" status (ex. charging your phone) and need to be cancellable (be able to swipe the notification in order to close it).
It seems that the app you are using does not comply with those rules.
You could contact the developers and ask to support the gear OR you could create a flow or task in something like "Automate" to listen for the notification and automatically create a new notification that does sync to the watch.
Regards,
Davey

Thanks for this! I've already double checked this - it's already enabled and working. Tried turning it off and on again, no change. Thanks for your reply!

Fitbit Ionic: the best of two worlds.

Hi all,
this is the new Fitbit Ionic smartwatch:

}
It's released on october 3th 2017 and combines the best of both worlds: smartwatches and fitnesstrackers. The Ionic has Fitbits's own OS, a combination of Pebble and Fitbit, and also has it's own app store.
Here are it's main features:
1. Of course all Fitbit's fitness features are availble, yet the heart rate sensor is very fast and much more accurate than the sensor of the Fitbit Blaze. Built in oxygen saturation sensor which will be activated in the near future.
2. Receive notifications from your smartphone, including SMS, Whatsapp, email and, of course Calls. These you can pick up or end with the Ionic.
3. Includes WiFi for faster download of apps or OS updates.
4. Pay with your Ionic. Visa and Mastercard are already supported.
5. Includes GPS
6. When exercising, for instance biking, the Ionic measures your distance and location, but best of all: it recognizes when you have to stop for a traffic light.
7. Battery lasts al long as 4 days without GPS active. With GPS it lasts for about 1 day.
8. Crystal clear display, even in direct sunlight, and is made of Gorilla glass 3. Display can be adjusted to your own needs. There are several skins available.
9. Contains a weather app.
Use this smartwatch now for 4 days and it's highly recommended. For all information, possibilities and accessories about/for the Ionic, please visit: https://www.fitbit.com/home
If you have any questions about the Ionic, see this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sm.../question-answer-thread-fitbit-ionic-t3685301

To my knowledge there are no roms available. Fitbit has it's own OS. As for 3rd party apps, Hue lights is available for the Ionic. Therefore you need a Hue bridge and Hue light bulbs. Works flawlesly,

If you want a real Smartwatch
Hi all,
despite the introduction of the Fitbit Versa (no GPS) and the Apple watch series 4, IMHO the Fitbit Ionic is still the best and most powerfull smartwatch available at this very moment. Why:
1. It's compatible with Android and iOS
2. The battery still is the best around. Apple watch is approximately 1 to 2 days (when you have luck), while the Ionic lasts at least 6 to 7 days, whilst continously wearing.
3. It's very fast, the screen is very bright and there are a lot of third party apps to install.
Kindest regards, kuzibri
