Galaxy S4 4.4.2 ROM's - Omni Features Development

Any suggestions for any good ROMs for a US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S4? I'd prefer stable but if you think it's a good enough nightlie to try let me know, also if you can provide the download links I'd really really appreciate it TIA

Sorry, but these types of threads typically aren't allowed on xda. What one person finds to be a good or great ROM may be the worst possible ROM for you. It all depends on your likes and needs.
Look around in this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-sprint/development It should have the ROMs for US Cellular mixed in with the Sprint ROMs.
Thanks!

ICS for our lovely Galaxy S 4G

Hi All developers,
I found somewhere on internet the ICS android 4.0 for Galaxy S which I think can be used to make an ICS for our Galaxy S 4G also... have a look
Web link:
pinappu.hubpages.com/hub/Samsung-Galaxy-S-firmware-update-to-Android-40-aka-Ice-Cream-Sandwich
Download Link:
ics.samsung-updates.com/ICSI9000/I9000_STOCKPLUS_ICS_RC4_v2.zip
Please try to consider it as a starter pack...
Not gonna work - there is no functional RIL for us. The ROM can easily be ported if you want a Wifi-only device but there aren't many people who are interested in that.
That's actually one of our references we are using. But again, it falls back on the kernel which is being worked on...

Assistance?
If there is any help you all might need I would be more than happy to help you with any questions as far as the Samsung S 4G goes. Ill do my best to help the brains get this project on the map. Thank you all so much for working so hard at getting this done and making it possible to have ICS on the Galaxy S 4G. The Dev team here are brilliant. Thank you all for the man-hours put in to make this possible. Bless you all.

ICS for Galaxy 2

Noticed that ICS is now ready for download for T-Mobile Galaxy 2, praying for a port to galaxy blaze, anyone going to try and port it?? If not, any opinions on best custom rom and tweaks would be welcome!!

LOL, another thread for ICS on the blaze? I believe this has been covered a number of times now.
Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand it is possible to port ICS over from another phone however that requires creating a kernel from scratch. Doing so is extremely time-consuming and difficult and there's no point for a dev to work on that when we're slated to get an official release on our phone in the (hopefully) near future.

This type of comment/question doesn't belong here in the "Android Development" section. Please use the General section for this. Also please familiarize yourself with the 'search' feature. As someone else stated there are like half a dozen threads about this already. Also please read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699450
I would also ask our community to NOT respond to these posts when they are in the wrong section. If someone can't read or help themselves by searching and learning from what is already posted here their question doesn't deserve a response. Not trying to be rude here, but seriously there has been 2 of these kinds of posts in the dev section in the last month.
Then don't be rude.

Sorry, that question can't be answered. One thing I've learned from my time here is that all phones are NOT the same, what works on my S3 may or may not work on yours.
You'll have to make your own tests, get started flashing various ROMs and good luck!

You have to understand that all of those ROMs have some problems since they are fairly new. All are still in the early stages of development.

I dont know if you are new or not so please dont think I mean to preach. But, when I am deciding what rom to use I read pages upon pages of the thread for that rom. I believe this is important so not only can I see what rom works like I want but, also prepares me for what to expect after flashing. Simply taking someones advice on which rom to flash will not always end with the best result.
That being said I am loving masta's cm10.1 unofficial.

I couldn't agree more.
Asking people for advice is probably bad because many stick with the first one they find work well.
Or they use what someone else says works best.
Roms work differently on everyone's phone so you must try for yourself.
Also people become very bias when they find a ROM they like.
Haha so it may not be the best for your needs.
Good luck and get flashing

[DISCUSSION] Separate forums for GT-I9500 and GT-I9505.

I would like to propose that there should be separate forums for the development of the I9500 & I9505, just like with my last phone the I9100 which was separated from the I9100G.
The reason I think this is that the Galaxy S4 is quite new and there are not many threads yet, but as a I9505 owner from Australia I still find it difficult to find threads relating to my specific varient.
What does everyone else think?
I think its fine how it is but the idea will help the people who just simply cant read the title

Well you can't expect a Rom for an underused device. Besides isn't this device from 1 year ago? If there wasn't any interest then, it's highly unlikely there would be now...

true, but some operators have it for mere €29 (i.e. vodafone ireland when switching number, with possible €20 cashback from fatcheese) now, so it is great backup phone for around €10 unlocked give or take
that means there might be plenty of those around soon, while it isn't powerful device it isn't bad at all
