I'm on AOSPA 4.2 beta 2 and I'm loving the ROM. I have the Google now launcher running and just noticed today that the app drawer looks a little crowded. I have the grid 4x6!! But I swear it used to be 4x5. I know there's an xposed module with extra settings for Google now launcher but last time I installed closed over this ROM I got stuck in boot loop. Any suggestions to get my grid back the way it was?

Hello i'm on att one x
viperxl 3.2.1
I'm having an issue changing the icons to the ones I selected from the venom hub. For some reason, the only time the new icons show are on the lock screen shortcuts and in the quick launcher in notification pulldown . The icons in the dock and app drawer stay the same. Am I missing something? I already searched in the theme thread and the rom thread already.
Thanks in advance from a n00b that just learned what rooting is 4 days ago. :victory:

I figured it out, I was using Nova launcher, then I switched to sense and it worked. Weird though that they show on lockscreen, but not the rest with nova launcher.

Hey guys,
I'm currently using the Google Now Launcher, I really used to love the big & clear icons.
Lately I gave Nova Launcher a try and I really like it - you can add more icons to your homescreen,
the icons are smaller and customizable.
I think I'll switch to Nova.
What's your launcher of choice?
Nova no doubt it.

haha, why no doubt? google now launcher is pretty good. very stable as well.
don't you think?
Nova is much more customizable and it allows you to disable animations. It feels faster than Google Launcher, but Google Launcher falls in with a close second place to me.
I run 100% stock these days, don't even unlock the bootloader. Android in it's current state doesn't need anything else IMO
Huawei home ( no apk drawer ) - fast rock solid.
Apus launcher is replacement is fine too.
Try inspire i started using it with nexus 5 kii kat. It still keeps some of the originality the google launcher has including the google now page !!!
Omni launcher
Nova ftw!
Stock.
I'm using aviate and quite like the change.
Nova launcher for me. Swipe gestures are something I've gotten too used to now to go back to GEL.

Google Now Launcher with XGELS.
The developer of XGELS is doing a really great job at implementing popular features from other launchers such as Nova.
Looking forward to seeing what future updates bring!

Is there an Xposed module or any app that can do that for me ?
I would like to open the App Drawer on Google Now @ Lollipop with a right\left slide...
If I could bring the AppDrawer to a page of his own on the screen it would be even better...
I dont want to change launcher to do that, I like Google Now. It's simple and fast...
Xposed doesnt Work on lolipop
Do you mean something like this? Appsi is what I used in the attached screen shot.

Hello everyone. My problem is this: until few days ago I had the latest version of Walkman, which I liked because it changed the status bar and the nav bar colors according to the song (like lollipop), but then both returned to black for no reason. I updated the app, reinstalled the app, but nothing, stays black, any ideas?

4.2.2 stock, rooted. I was using Xperia Launcher, then I moved to Nova and Aviate and then I realised the transparency was missing in Walkman... So I returned to the stock launcher but the transparency didn't. Before it looked like the red screenshot, now it looks like the second purple one

Have you used any OTA or any update lately to your launcher, walkman or anything in specific ?

No, I hadn't updated anything by the time, only changed the launcher. When I returned to the stock one, I updated then the walkman app, but it stayed the same

it could be due to different walkman version or launcher. The only thing I can suggest is, change the walkman apk and launcher apk from system. You'd need root for that. Make sure you have a backup launcher or your device might see many force closes etc.
Other way would be flashing FTF again for your device !
The most recent update to the S8 and S8+ gave us the option to hide the navigation bar, and all is well until Nova Launcher updated their app just a few hours ago, and now the navbar is back in the desktop and I can't find a way to hide it. Isn't there a way to hide it? Damn Nova, fixing things that aren't broke.
It might not happen. There’s a thread on it on Google+. Long and short of it, the Dev decided to go with the TWiz implementation of having the navbar visible in launcher view.

I tought it was somerhing wrong and did a full reset.Nova had autoinstalled and i Just could not understand what was causing the problem with the navbarkeys on the homescreen. I use KLWP and hate the navbarkeys on the homescreen and applauncher. Glad i could Reed this post. I unninstalled Nova and downloaded Nova 5.2 and turned off autoinstaller.Happy to hide ny navbarkeys again..
It's sad that we don't get to have the option for this. I also just uninstalled Nova and reinstalled 5.2.
Suggest you all vent your frustrations at the developer or it'll be stuck that way for good.
Here's another thread on the Nova update & a reply from the developer. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3629965

So now I'm choosing between 5.2 ability to hide navbar or 5.3 google now integration.
Action launcher allows you to hide navbar.

How do you get the 5.2 version please?
You can use BxActions to set the Bixby Button to toggle Full Screen which will hide the statusbar and navbar or you can set it to hide the statusbar and navbar for only the app you're in.

I know the link says beta but I'm pretty sure the ones not labeled beta on that page are stable releases. I downloaded and installed the one dated Jun 6, 2017 and so far so good. Nova launcher shows up when you press on recents, but that's the only difference from the Play Store version, from what I can tell.

If you guys are searching for a alternative to Nova there is Apex Launcher and Apex Launcher Pro. There you still can hide the nav bar and its comparable to Nova in many ways.
