You haven't search enough because there are a lot of tools, all used by me:
VROOT --> from here --> it's useful, but it's in Chinese or Japanese...
Shuame --> from here --> It's useful (your phone will reboot several times) and you can use it for everything, but the other tools are not stable at all yet
This file from here SUPERSU, if you have a CWM recovery with your AOSPA version --> SUPERSU.zip
That's all folks!
LUCK! :fingers-crossed:

That´s what I thought too, but if I open SuperSu, there comes an error it says: "There is no su-file installed and super su can not install it aswell. This is a problem. If you changed to 4.3, you have to root your device manually." Please search for the correct forum. (I had to translate from german into english...)
Download and flash this in recovery.

Download and flash this in recovery. You will be having super user access then.

Hi,
I have a C10 SBK2 Transformer and I`m rooted it using UNLOCKROOT via usb.
I installed the ROM Manager and CWM in order to install the Android Revolution HD ROM, but everytime I reboot into recovery mode the tablet loads the ICS system and doesn`t load the CWM.
Does anybody know why it isn`t booting into recovery?
Thanks in advance
Not sure but if you have a terminal app try using reboot -r or whatever switch tells it to reboot to recovery.
Alternatively until you figure it out use rom toolbox app. There is a function to boot to recovery.
To me it sounds like you don't have permissions somewhere. The root method you did might not have worked.

Dont use ROM Manager. Theres an app on these forums simply called "recoveryInstaller". Thats what you should be using.

Hi to all,
I have a similar problem.
I've use unlockroot to gain root permission on my tablet. I used root check basic to check if I have gained root access and it said yes.
So I've installed ROM Manager from Google Play and installed clockworkmod recovery (before "standard", after "touch"). When I try to boot into recovery mode, I found an android opened with a red exclamation point on it.
So I have tried RevcoveryInstaller.apk, but when I execute this app, it return this error: "You are not rooted".
Any suggestion?

Dear Goatshocker,
Thank you fot the suggestion, but I had the sample issue theH4mmer had.
Dear theH4mmer,
I had the same problem as you had, that's because unlockroot didn't root our phone. Please download the vipermod tool to properly unlock your phone and install the CWM.

You can use this to flash recovery image. : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.recovery.installation.utility&hl=en
I would suggest using this recovery : http://www.4shared.com/zip/nJtjKoAu/AmonRa_306_Recovery_ThunderG.htm
Assuming you're using a Windows PC, you can also use Android Flash Recovery, link is in my signature.
As for ROM Manager, I highly suggest forgetting about it. It hasn't worked correctly for our devices for a year or so. You may want to check out the LG Optimus One FAQ also. It can be found here.
yeah, use shinobisoft tool, great that the site to download is back again

I have a hisense tablet. I downloaded goomanager and it has a rom or file that is 4.4 something but goomanager says i need a recovery rom. It said it would try and find me one I tried and it did not find me one. I do see a recovery rom on this website but im not sure I can follow those steps and wanted to use something like goomanager to install it. or a program as easy,,, Is that possible? I see CyanogenMod installers in play store , would one of them load it?
thanks

Hi, Mtkdroid tools is only for use with mediatek devices, which I believe your tablet is not. I am not familiar with your device so can't really help with installing a custom recovery, but I'm sure if you use the search facility at the top of this page or google search the web for 'installing cwm on Hisense tablet' you will find some resources. Google is your friend
i was able to load recovery, than I tried to load the 4.4 rom and now my tablet is in recovery. I turn it off and it go's to recovery,,,,crap,,,now what?
guess you see im having problems. But i got it un-bricked,,,still can't get the taktiK rom loaded
The question it's simply and i'ts on title:
On My OPO i have flashed the TWRP 2.7.1.1 successfully about one month ago........ now i advice it's been released the 2.8.0.0 and i want try to update it:
- I have downloaded the http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/bacon/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.0-bacon.img it's no possibly to flash it or upgrade it directly from recovery right ?
On Official page i have looked there is a APP called TWRP Manager. I have installed this APP but when i launch it i obtain a warning that APP force me to install the "Busybox stericson". WTF it's that this busybox ??? It's a addons for my phone ??? I can install it... but i don't know if this APP make some problems whit CM11S and/or make unstable the stock rom......
Exist another method instead using a PC and ADB ??

Normally busybox is free on the playstore. Not sure how to explain but it adds the possibility to do some commands, in this case TWRP Manager.
But I read posts from 2 people that they had issues with installing CM11s from scratch so I would wait to see if it is ok to do so or wait for an update.
2.7.1.1 works do there is no rush to update.
The Busybox installer by stericson is from what I gather not dangerous and is useful for many apps, such as the TWRP Manager. But if you are unsure, I believe the app Flashify does not require Busybox to be installed (don't quote me on that), and it can be used to flash the new TWRP 2.8 image file. Search for Flashify in the Google Play store and install it. Then select "recovery image" and select the TWRP .img file. That worked for me when I tried yesterday, but I can't give you any guarantees.
ok boys... tomorrow i uninstall the official twrp manager and try to use this app........... i hope this not brick my opo

Do not use 2.8, it has issues with flashing kernels. It can cause bootloops. Just stick with 2.7.1.1, it's rock solid.

I used 2.8 and flashed a ROM and flashed multiple kernels without any problems.
As mentioned before, use Flashify. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
Thanks for all reply.... i have correctly updated my Recovery from 2.7.1.1 to this 2.8.0.0
For now i don't need to change nothing from STOCK ROM... i have already unlock the bootloader some month ago.. i have root permission and i have a good feedback whit the stock CM11S............
Otherwise if i have some problems i thinks i can re-download and i can reflash the 2.7.1.1 over this 2.8.0.0 whitout any problems rights ?

ADB Shell (guide and download) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118
kingo root - https://www.kingoapp.com/android-root/download.htm
Step 2: Command Prompt with ADB
run the CMD with admistrator privileges and use the following commands -
adb devices
[hit enter]
adb reboot disemmcwp
[Your device will now reboot with some extra write permissions]
install and run KINGO ROOT! (Yes, it's kingO root, not King) on your pc.

Hello everyone! Has anyone found or developing a custom recovery or rom for this poor thing? thanks for the work or find on the root..
There is now TWRP for this. Do a search and it can be rooted without ADB.
This worked for me on QLink ZTE N817 Wellington Android 4.4.4 MSM8610, thanks leetree2001 and fcknstar.

Negative. These steps, just like all others found online will NOT root a zte n817. It is actually impossible to root an N817. Tired of the lies!
Dude!download 360root and rooting will happen.Sean

Did you follow @leetree2001 post?
Using kingoroot? With adb?
Now others are saying TWRP is available.
I search with no luck.
I am also on Qlink ZTE N817 Wellington Android 4.4.4
SW = N817V1.0.0B10
Yes LeeTree's guide worked for me.

Yes, I followed @leetree2001's post, this worked for me. But then I tried flashing the latest TWRP with TWRP Manager and I broke my phone. After flashing I did factory data reset, and the phone then restarted to go to recovery, and now my recovery is a blank white screen. I can get into QDLoader Mode, FTM Mode, Download Mode, Sahara Download Mode, and EDL Mode, but no recovery. So basically I have a Soft Bricked device now. I have found the stock Firmware file, but it is missing the prog_emmc_firehose_8610.mbn file needed for QPST. If anyone has any help regarding this problem, I would be greatly appreciated. Also to note, I have another one of the same phone, that the ROOT mentioned above worked on, but then I factory reset. Now the phone is in a half rooted state, it had the Kingo SuperUser apk in the system/apps folder. It would stay in my notifications all of the time, and I could not get rid of it. Now the KingoRoot, nor any other rooting app will work, because superuser has taken control. So it is in a half rooted mode, I cannot unroot using KingoRoot either, because no root apps detect it as being rooted.
Removing Files
I have rooted this device and than made sure to see if it was actually rooted by going to another rooting apk to see the status of root.. When I had done that by accident from fast fingers lol I had re rooted the phone when it was already rooted and it un rooted by accidentally re rooting.. Ever since than I have not been able to get it rooted again... I'm not that pro into rooting knowledge so "I have a question to ask"... After that has been done, is there any files/folders that it had left that is preventing me from a successful root? If so what is the files/folders and their destination so I can get rid of them.. I just dont want to delete something that didnt need to be deleted.. Thanks for any help.
