Well I figure to start a thread to see if we could have a kernel dev develop us a 4.3 sense kernel so this forum could experience some of HTC latest sense versions.The reason why is because as we all know the HTC One X probably wont be updated again and our only hope is for a talented dev to help us make a 4.3 or 4.4 kernel. depends on what they choose.. i want to raise at least $250 so the devs that creates it and make it happen feel like there work was well paid.

I think that's what he meant ... You need a 4.4.2 kernel to boot sense 6... And once you get sense 6 booting the rest of its easy fixing. Longs kernel is done correctly so you still need kernel in order for the Rom to boot..

exactly....and it's a slow long process that i'm working on atm

I build it from one max 4.4.2 HTC stock kernel and it boot with one mini 4.4.2 with sense 6 rom.It test for now and I will fix the bug in the few days.

Is there a chance for an official update for the Desire S to the ICS ?
Nobody knows, but could be possible...
At this moment no available information about from ths update but in my oppinion its coming about 2-3Q of year.
i've read that htc wants upgrade desire's series. HD,Z and S but in second semester of this year. i'm not sure how much is a credible information..
If HTC is ever going to release official ICS for Desire S then it is for certain that you will have to wait a long time.
Don't hold your breath.. HTC has not been very fast publishing updates, at least not for the Desire series... Q3 is probably overly optimistic (IF there will ever be an official update).

Because the leaked ICS ROM is for the Sensation, which is a qHD device.
It's best to wait for a leak of the XL which had the same screen as us

For many reasons..
Even though most of us will be using custom ROMs, we want official bases to work from so we have the right kernel source, drivers etc. This way you have better comparability, battery life, performance etc.
Think HD2. No official WP7.
Unofficial WP7 built with no official drivers = permanent bugs. (Multitouch, camera flash)
I explain this EVERYTIME, when someone posts this....

I'm not sure it will happen. HTC only announces large screen and high resolution phones now. And as we all know, they don't like to upgrade old phones. So if there will be an ICS phone with 480x800, it won't be soon.

Ok, I'm thinking of making a miui V4 rom for the doubleshot... any testers? (I don't have a doubleshot) must have:
Adb & Logcat working, a googlemail account, and a reasonable amount of spare time( so if it doesn't work you can send me a logcat and we can exchange builds), and tell me what does/doesn't work....

I was working on MIUI, but I couldn't get it to boot right with our CM9 base. Now I'm working on a AOSP when I can. But I work full time now, and only have time for XDA when there's nobody in my section.
I Wish it was a Galaxy Note >:T

no "best" sense rom, but imo the easiest and most stable is cleanrom. i tried a few of the others but i always went back to cleanrom. im using CM10 right now.
i haven't tried this sense rom but it was highly anticipated [ ROM ] Calkulin's One XL v1.0c [ 2.40 l Fast l Tweaked l Battery Saver Script ]
Do some heavy research before you even think about flashing anything dude. Don't wanna see another beautiful phone bricked.

You have three choices:
Option 1: close your browser, forget about xda and never think of rooting/modifying your phone again.
Option 2: ignore everyone giving you advice, flash whatever you like, see what happens.
Option 3: actually listen to what the patient people here are telling you to do, f-ing read the tutorials!! How hard is it?!

So if you've been around xda for a while, you'd be familiar with the forum rules right? You know, the ones that state you must search before posting. There are many threads already covering this exact subject. If you had searched you would have seen that.

this FABULOUS guide to all resources available to one xl is a must read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33284110&postcount=2118 it among other things lists all the custom roms available on ATT HTC one x(l) if this is indeed the phone you have. if you have the intl version of the one x you should not be posting here. :silly: or flashing anything from here unless you wanna end up driving over your phone
Listen to DvineLord, bookmark that link he gave you and stick to it. If you try to flash anything from the other sections you WILL brick your phone.

It's definitely possible. You just have to make damn sure you have the major stuff, IE boot.img and framework smali trees edited/patched correctly for our phone. Otherwise, we allllllllllllll die.

It is possible, but it is a lot harder. It's a lot easier to port roms such as from the EVO 4G LTE, One S, etc. This is mainly because the interior of the endeavoru is a lot different so it takes a lot of work to sort out modules, libs etc

LOL mmcblk0p33 is system (os) and mmcblk0p35 is data. Make sure its correct in your script.. I can take an endeavor ROM and change 3 lines and it'll flash and turn on.. but boot loop, so that might be your issue
guys just flashed jb 4.2.2 on my sensation xe it works nice but dont have htc sense is it posible to flash any htc sense separatly?
I don't think so. Sense is an user interface that changes most of files of a rom.
What you can do is search for a sense theme in theme section (probably there isn't one) or wait for venom team fix and release jb sense version. They already got it working, but there's still some major bugs.
thing is. i wish i can dual boot with two different roms... i remember something like that long ago. i wonder if it works... i should search the thread.
