Possible fix for HTC Sensation Bootloop caused by hardware Problems
Hello,
i had the same problem with my HTC Sensation XE a few days ago.
I removed the motherboard of the phone and put it into the oven for some time. Just like you could repair some graphics cards, too.
Now my Sensation is working again (with some limitations, see below).
It's urgent to remove the cameras from the motherboard! The vibrations motor will propably take some damage from heat.
I can recomment a temperature of about 100-120°C for about 30 minutes to limit damaging the vibrations motor. I used a value of 150°C for about 25 minutes and didn't remove the cameras so i damged them and the vibraions motor. :crying:
For disassembling the device have a look at ifixit.com!
Look at my blog for more details, if you want! HTC Sensation Bootloop fixed @ 1dev.de
If you give it a try, please give some feedback if it helped! Thanks!

. lets say i decide not to jtag it and just send my phone in for replacment through my warranty...is it void? can they tell? its free according to my warranty if the phone is "faulty". (either bad processor or something went wrong through a ota update) would that work?
whats gna and jtag?
thanks for the help!! thats all the questions i can think of lol
Sorry thats Gonna need JTAG ------>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnA8Djs55Ds Technically yes your warranty is void. Samsung should/can see that you flashed it but you can send it to them and they will fix and send back according to other members. Appearently they arent checking/dont care. Verizon will probably replace it if you play stupid seeing as how it was "locked" and there no way you could messed with it *cough *cough. Although samsung can, Verizon cant tell in that state

Never seen a rom brick a phone on any device. If it did it is something new to the S3. Usually something else done wrong in the flashing procedure. Funny if you look at them all I've seen are coming back from AOKP.

location 0x1002080C is s5p_restart_handler INFORM3 aka reboot_mode
reboot fota_bl sets MAGIC 0x12345676
when mach_board_main is executed in sboot and location 0x1002080C has 0x12345676 then it will execute pit_update_bootloader_ota, all pretty simple really.
There is also another special mode of reboot sud which sets s5p_restart_handler to 0xABCF0000 but to discuss its function would be off topic here.

Unless the gut who gave it to you have the EFS folder backed up. Suggestion: RTS (Return To Sender), obviously he forgot what Dhiru said before flash Alpha 4:'Backed up your EFS folder just in case you lost your IMEI'. Its almost impossible to lost your IMEI on stock unless you deleted the EFS folder, which is a very stupid move, LoL.

the only thing i can tell you is download from play store cid getter
with your cid use the appropriate gb ruu.exe
for ruu see here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425
by the way what is your firmware version?
I have the strong impression that you have a fake HTC Sensation. The IMEI points to a HTC sensation, but the chip that is used is a mediatek 6573 processor, which does not belong in a normal HTC Sensation. This explains the different bootloader.
However, a imei can easely be faked.
This is the info on the processor used in your device:
http://system-on-a-chip.findthebest.com/l/165/MediaTek-MT6573
I found someone else on a Chinese forum with the exact same problem...
http://bbs.hiapk.com/thread-3275838-1-1.html
and
http://bbs.hiapk.com/thread-3281595-1-1.html
Can you check if your screen resolution is 800x480 or that it is 960x540?
-edit: I am certain it is a fake now, I am sorry for you man. Hope you didnt pay too much for it.

that's make sense
but how did they put a mediatek processor in a sensation device?

They didnt, they just created a device that looks like a sensation but has lower specs. They gave it the IMEI number of a HTC Sensation, and imitated the software.
I would say its definitely a fake pal. I'm pretty sure your ROM version should read 1.45.XXX.X (depending on region) for GB. Sorry mate. :crying:
Thank you for your help guys! I didn't know this is a chinese version of HTC when I bought it. I can't do anything with it, right?
Sorry, you won't be able to run custom ROMS for the htc sensation
Maybe you can try to find some MT6573 development, but a quick search for roms doesn't show anything
hello sir... i was rooting my ultra maxx by a method with blbroke.bat. but after that i try to root.bat its take about 2 hours but not happen with my ultra maxx ... no recovery no fast boot no bootloader... sometime bling a green light near sencer... i dont know what can i do now.... its on 6-7 kk... i try alot method but still 0% success... help me thanks
Well unfortunately you're out of luck in this situation. What I recommend is to see if you have a warranty then you can send your phone and get the new one, just don't tell the carrier it was your fault just tell them you left it charge and its broken now. Good luck

Hi friend
Hi, I'm using Google translator, so forgive errors.
I do not know if you know a little Spanish (help me more) I'm from Mexico, Mexicali Baja Califoria, to be exact.
I have a Droid Mini XT1030 and I had the same problem trying to give you root the phone. But I need the details to help you better. Send me a message with your detailed problem (The tutorial you were following the model of the mobile version of android, stuff) also steps you followed. I hope to be helpful.
today i try many methods.... now its give me a very small breath ... like 5 to 10 seconds... i see some messages like:
failed to hab check for gpt_mainx4e
cid read failure
invaild cid status 0x69
customer id error. contect dealer: oxdead
fastboot reason invalid cid.
In the zip file for the CrashXXL blbroke method, there is a batch file called Run_SBL.bat ... This should pull your phone out of Qualcomm mode. If you reboot and see the "M" logo you'll be able to get back into fastboot and reflash. As someone mentioned before, you'll need a factory cable if your battery is dead.

Or you can remove battery and connect to battery pins 3.7V from external power supply.

This phone doesn't have removable battery. Factory cable would be way easier.
