[Q] Changing IMEI Number of Galaxy Core i8262 - Samsung Galaxy Core

I wanted to change my IMEI number, because i purchased this phone from a guy, and i think this is a stolen phone, and i'm not able to find that guy now.
That is why i wanted to Change the IMEI number, and also make sure no one traces it back and i want to be 100% secure.
Please guide me how to do it, and help me in making myself secure...
Thank you!!

Why do you think it's stolen..?
International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is an unique code assigned to each mobile phone. Since it is provided by the manufacturer at the time of manufacturing, it is not possible to change it later. (or no? )

That's not legal.

Please provide some more info.
Did you pay your bill? (sorry... Had to ask)
There is more info you can tell us by looking at settings -> about phone -> status
Do you have a valid imei?

I get this randomly, sometimes once a day, sometimes once a month. I've always just restated the phone to take care of it.

deleted system

I accidentally in my samsung galaxy gt-i9070 with root idiot browser because system folder deleted. Can it start no longer is but also clearly because Yes the system is away. So far I need I now a rom if I lie correctly on each if I need help so I the handy again in gang wars thank you times in advance.
First of all, I sympathize with your sufferings which tell us NEVER accidentally delete anything using root explorer. Secondly, I think you should search for a ROM yourself in this big forum cuz only you are fully acquainted with what your phone needs. If you can neither find a ROM nor find a person to give you a ROM, you'd better go to ask those who sold you the phone for help and it won't take you too much time or money, considering it isn't a hardware damage at all. Thanks.

So I understand correctly I need a rom? If yes you can because link post währe very great of dier thousand thanks.
help me
could someone please help me because I would hate that it ends up in the garbage, and I buy a new. Please please help me!
check this post it will help you to install firmware http://www.teamandroid.com/2012/06/...-to-android-2-3-6-xxle2-gingerbread-firmware/
So you where rooted... Than in your download folder you'll still find some rooted things, so your warenty is void. You SHOULDN'T go to the ones who sold you the phone cause they'll find out! I suggest you find the stock rom and root after you reinstalled it. Can you flash your phone correctly?

Help galaxy tab plus unable to detect my sim

Help im from the philippines and i was unable to load my simcard on galaxy tab 7.0 plus came from taiwan is there any way to fix this..i was always in airplaine mode
Sent from my GT-I9300
Your baseband is unknown.. hmmm you should try restocking your tab that should reinstall ur modem. It might fix it. But before that check and see if ur tab still has an IMEI number.

A few months back my s2 fell in water and apparently I didn't let it dry enough before powering it own. When I did it came in and everything worked except reading the sim. And of course it had no imei number and no baseband. I had a friend check the hardware out after I tried to flash it back to stock and tried flashing the imei back with one of those boxes like the z3x I think that's its name. But it turned out there is a chip on the board that holds this information that got fried. But everything else worked fine. But I could forget using a sum on it again. So my guess was maybe that same chip on ur board might be the issue if u tried flashing back to stock and it didn't work. Or u could have that random efs corruption problem. But seeing as flashing a stock rom won't kill no one I would suggest u go back to stock and see what happens. And btw did u check and ssee if u sill have an imei number? And yeah u check by dialing *#06#

And about the imei number there are a lot of things associated with imei. For one its like ur devices ID there are some apps that are linked to imei like viber and things like that if I'm not mistaken. Without imei its like ur device has no identity. Its sorta how ur carrier recognizes ur device. So if u have no imei u have no phone. Or any telephony u have a tab with working wifi, Bluetooth and u can do almost anything but no mobile data and no calls. But lets hope that's not ur issue. Good luck man.

Search in xda forums (efs.tar) flashing in odin this file you get generic imei. Just follow the guide where you find that file. Hope it helps.

Thank's for reply and your help. As soon as when you send my your efs i edit the nv_data.bin IMEI with my original IMEI.
Xcuse I don't want to be rude but so THERE IS a huge security problem. No offense but I'm not sure to give my imei etc to an unknown person nothing personal. Anyone on this forum can provide my any tips(if possible) to send my efs without sensible data? I repeat no offense to anyone...

Flashing the right rom from odin will rewrite your imei back to its orignal. Give it a try.. i did it with past s4 and moto x 1st gen..
I flashed million times.. :/
