[I9003][REQ]Video on flashing XXKPE

I know that this thread is pretty much extra but I am unable to flash it(I followed the guide and did not miss a single step).[XXKPE that is...]
So I need someone who have successfully flashed this to post a video of you showing the whole process of flashing it.

If you have read the first post completely, I know how to flash it. Its maybe something on with my phone just need to confirm and maybe I had flashed with some problems so I need to recheck and also learn.

I did the same thing using Camtasia. Then I realized the guide is useless because people want to see the phone's reaction and what happens. They already know what Odin's job is :\

Hmm...I see..Then, I don;t think i will be risking of re-flashin my FW..I can show you the odin part of it!

[Q] Install another Samsung's Gingerbread, yay or nay?

Ok, Im sorry if you've seen a million threads on this type of question.
I've done as much googling as I can and have just decided to ask this.
Has anyone tried to install a gingerbread that is said to be made for another Samsung phone on their Sidekick 4g? If so, any luck with that?
I have a 2.3.5 GB ROM downloaded, and I found an Odin for this SD4g. The only reason I havent done it is cause Im not risking with someone Else's phone.
Any insight, or even a yes or no would be helpful. Thank you.

Dang. Maybe I can see about some more research on this. If only it was my phone or id experiment since I got the stock firmware downloaded and ready for mishaps.

Nope , it won't work and there's no 2.3.5 for the SK4G so it'll brick your phone it's just a fake but you could always try as we have the Reserrectar incase your phone brick's but that's just a option which would need work so i would say no , we would need a GB kernel which nobody has yet .

Why am I the only one who's made sacrifice! My girlfriend just broke up with me yesterday and you guys immediately had the official update! And when I tried to follow the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749021&highlight=kies so I can fix my broken heart a little bit the damn kies kept showing me this "your model number cannot be verified" crap. Any idea??

Check SN and don't put S/N with number model you need to put w/o quotes " SGH-I727"

make sure kies is upto date, try using all caps
or odin ics here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652398 , but this will wipe all ur data

I think that's the route I'm going to take. Currently downloading Kies at ~10 KB/sec from Samsung. I'm not patient enough to wait.
I've also had zero luck using Odin from a Windows 7 VM on my macbook. The only thing that has worked via ODIN has been flashing CWM. I soft bricked my phone with Odin a month ago and took days to figure out how to fix (I blame myself for being a noob with android tho).

What does this mean??

My friend has a sidekick 4g and this screen appeared on his phone. No response..can't get it to recovery or download. I have a Skyrocket so I don't know what this screen is. Is it bricked? I think he was trying to put CWN on with Odin when it happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there fellow XDA'er,
That is a different screen for download mode on the SK4G. I dont know what you mean by using Odin to flash CWM on the device. Odin is a program used to reflash the original firmware on the device. Odin can use that screen to flash the original firmware on your device, it may be soft bricked.
First you could use this to firmware and pit file for the SK4G to flash with Odin. --> (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885482) add http to that. I cant post links yet :\
Then you and your friend should follow this thread for getting CWM on your device --> (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124453) again add the http but remove the ().
The recovery correct update.zip file used on the SK4G can be found here --> (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965239) Again with the http...
I think I covered everything you should look further into these forums next time though there is usually a thread posted needing this same help. Just trying to help out. Free to ask questions if I missed anything.

Hey guys,
I'm happy to be here.
I got a big problem and only you guys can help me.
My phone is gt-i9003 is work just fine, but when I restart it, all applications, numbers and everything I've installed are gone.
For example if I downloaded an app from Google play it okay and works ,but after I shut down the phone and restart it, the icon still there but the application have been deleted. And also the time of the phone changed.

I just installed a new rom (miui) and still has this problem.
I think it is deep inside the phone system.

Try to do a fresh install of xxkpe/ddlf2 maybe it help you.

If you did repartition with odin and that not solve your problem maybe is problem related of hardware.

I remember some people had a hardware problem related to the internal sdcard, in which all data is saved. I think there was a workaround to that issue that made the external sdcard work like if it was the internal one and so no data was lost. Look for it in the forum.
