[Q] Angel Folder On Android - General Questions and Answers

Hi, I have this "angel" folder on my android phone that keeps on automatically downloading apk's everytime I connect to a network without my permission, it asks to install only when it is already downloaded. It is so annoying that it consumes my data alotment and takes valuable memory space. Even when I delete this folder it reappears and to redownload those apk's again once my phone is connected. Please, I desperately need help for this. Many thanks...in advance

Try to uninstall apps that you don't use!!!
Because some adware apps automatically create some folders for some ads purpose...!

Protected (AKA Most paid apps) reside in /data/app-private, which you can't access - yes, even read - without root permissions.
I'm not sure about Froyo's A2SD though...
Without root, the short answer is no.

I Was Thinking About It..... & If You Purchased The Apps From The Android Market, They're Kind Of Already Backed Up! If You Go To Market And Press Menu/My Apps, They Should Be There Weather Or Not You Still Have A App Installed!! If You Decided At An Point To Uninstall A Paid App, It'll Still Show Up In Market As Purchased Under Downloads/My Apps!!

If you associate a new Android phone with the same Google account the apps were purchased with, you can still download them without purchasing again. I'm on my 4th phone and still using apps I bought when I was using a G1.
If you really wanna backup protected apps and keep them on your computer hard drive or another SD card or something, here's how: http://theandroidsite.com/2009/11/22/how-to-backup-protected-and-paid-android-applications-for-root-users/

Simple method to install .APK that PlayStore Won't Let you install.

To install an app the PlayStore wont let you install do the following (You will need at least one device compaible with the phone)
Install ESFile explorer on the Device with the working App.
Tap On App Manager then Select and HOLD the Application you want.
From the List Select Back-Up
Then Back out back to the first page, and find the Backup folder, and go into it, then into the Apps folder.
Your see the APK backed up.
Then Press and HOLD, and select SHARE.
Share the file to your DropBox
You can then grab the file on your PC and install anyway you see fit.
If you have Unknown sources ticked, you can also then open Dropbox on the Nexus 7, navigate to the folder you shared it to, and install it from there. (Simples)
You could also share the file Via Bluetooth, I have not tested to see if it will let you install the file, but I cant see why not) (Thanks for the idea Gogeta)
I installed and am now using BT Smart talk this way.
Hope this helped someone.
If you find a simpler way please post it.
If I managed to help, please say Thanks.

Good thinking.

If you go to /system/data/apps all installed apps go in there, as far as i know. Is this what your trying to get? That way you can skip the backup and save any space that it takes up.

Or, you could use Quixer to send it straight over to the other device, no matter the distance. I like the Bluetooth idea as well though, that would be the easiest for single, close range sharing.

You should be rooted in order to access internal memory from your phone. Or use adb to pull the apk.
There's also lucky patcher but shouldn't share it in xda.

this is the folder from your old TitaniumBackup so delete the whole folder and try it again to install.

picking up an old thread because i have the same problem.
only - the remedy here didn't work for me.
there WAS some remnants of an old install at /data/data/com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup. i killed it, but no jive.
still - "application not installed."
any other pointers?
i am also have the same problem
all files and folders wich name have words "titanium" or "keramidas" deleted from data\app, data\app-lib, data\data
i leave just a folder with backups on sd
but it don't have effect, still can't install
well, i don't remember what exactly i did to get it to work, but i succeeded. one of these:
- version 7.2.0 worked for me
- update busybox
- delete all the tibu data folders (as you've done).
fyi - i'm on cm12.1.

I was getting this error as well. What worked for me was reverting the host file in Adfree. Looks as if Adfree was blocking access to the Tapatalk servers.

Since it's a Chinese tablet with an mtk processor, you may be able to simply root it with a one click app. I know those Chinese root apps aren't better but it could be the most simple result. Try kingroot, baidu root, stuff like that.

Thanks , It's rooted already, and there wasnt exactly an apk, I only found the app's (mentioned by ESET) package name with package name viewer, and deleted it at internal/data/data folder, I hope this helps. (BTW I haven't found the whole app (.apk), only the data stuff.)
The app name is not exactly what data package shows.
The data is like com.bla.bla abd app name is a sensable one simple.
You have to find that the data which you deleted was created by which app.
Still deleting data cant solve the problem becauae when that app will run it will again create that data
