Anyone used it? Seems interesting. How is it compared to xposed? I like the idea of integrating androids permission manager and some of the safety features

You have to change SELinux from enforcing to permissive I think. Then it might work on KitKat. He hasn't updated it for KitKat so be warned.

Anyone knows when it's coming out on Nexus 5? I'm pretty eager to try halo and PIE on my new phone
Or can someone teach me how to port it and I'll do so happily!
Thank you!

Use the Xposed Framework. There's a module that enables HALO, and if you install the Gravity Box module, you can use PIE too.
Definitely waiting for the official one.

It's called XHaloFloatingWindow.
Now that we can use Xposed, what are your favorite modules? Here's what I've got so far (it's a pretty weak list):
Greenify
Gravity Box
XPrivacy
I've got APM+ and GravityBox so far

You need it for some experimental features.
Amplify
Gravity Box
Snapprefs
There's some other ones I loved but I haven't used Xposed ever since my Nexus 6 got 5.1 months and months ago.
I have the same as OP set up. Unfortunately Power Nap seems to not like the Moto X. I'm hoping that it gets updated and works.
Which file do I flash to get Xposed working? Can someone please let me know which one cause there are so many?
Thanks!

You'll want the SDK22 ARM64 one. Flash that with TWRO and then install the apk.

Yeah it definitely helps. I don't think it's a gigantic improvement but it makes a noticeable difference. Even if it's only a few extra hours in standby or a few minutes more of screen on time it's worth it.
I'm at work and can't remember all of my favs, but crappalinks is one of my favorites now... Removes redirects from websites, so if I click on a link I can open it directly now.
APM+ is also great. Used to use gravity box but may not need it now.

xposed is the framework
gravitybox is a module
(note - don't follow the steps in the video, to install. Instead, use the thread I referenced earlier that has the 2 files.)
Running GB and twisty switch here. All is well

http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ceco.lollipop.gravitybox
Well, I've added to my list. MinMinGuard, Snapprefs, and Xposed GEL Settings (It seems like about half of the options in this module actually work...once its fully working, I shouldn't need Gravity Box anymore)

I do have the mate 9 in moonlight silver US version. I just recently unrooted with SuperSu and flashed stock recovery due to not having proper root so we can write to system. I also have a one+ 3t because I do enjoy flashing Roms and kernels, so I have to mate 9 put away until we can do such.

I'm with you bro. Almost shelved my Note 4 which is like the device that will never die with great devs, but the Mate 9, even with partial root to at least use Titanium gets me by with Nova and a few other added apps. (It One 3T is a non-sloucher I can see being a prime device to work and play). I have to admit it is the first phone I have used as a daily without real root since Android 3.x.

It is a great device but I've been rooting and modding since the first T-Mobile G1. I tried to go at it just as is but the itch just got me back. Lol. I'm keeping a close eye on the mate 9 forums like everyday checking to see about progress. If we could get AOSP on this beast I'd be too happy.

Way cool. And the superuser.zip is the item mentioned in the OP, or did you find a way to substitute? I think our biggest hang up was the encrypted partition along with the access controls are the file level (but I'm a big novice on the dev type work.)

I cleared data for the app and now it works. Of course being Samsung you cant actually do much customising with it. Hopefully someone finds a way to exploit it to work like Synergy does. Or to add the support to synergy.

I lean towards Synergy because #Hex dosent work with lucky patcher installed or similar apps. #Hex isnt bad but since Synergy uses substratum on the frontend theres many more possibilities compared to #Hex.

What can they do compared to Theme Park, besides loading other peoples custom themes?
I know substratum loads overlays to more apps etc.
Edit: For example what can Hex Installer do that this can't besides loading custom themes?
