Paranoid Android - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone knows when it's coming out on Nexus 5? I'm pretty eager to try halo and PIE on my new phone
Or can someone teach me how to port it and I'll do so happily!
Thank you!

Thanks for that! Using Purity Rom as of now. Wonderful work, but I feel like a part of me is missing as there's no halo and PIE in there xD

Use the Xposed Framework. There's a module that enables HALO, and if you install the Gravity Box module, you can use PIE too.

Definitely waiting for the official one.

[Request] Extended Power button menu

For those of us who s prefers stock, I would like to formally request someone who can make a flashable zip to add addition settings to the power menu. (Reboot to recovery, bootloader, reboot etc)
Thanks a bunch.

Not compatible with 4.4, xposed dev is waiting for his nexus 5 to be dispatched
Wouldn't you still need to be on a Deodexed ROM for that mod to work?

Nope. It's not necessary to have a deodexed rom.

Yes ! This and a hack to wake with volume button only thing I'm really missing from custom Roms , with all the 4.3 nonsense with N4 , I used stock ROM for quite a while and I don't think I'll be using custom Roms anymore Google stock is actually quite nice .

Not a problem, enjoy. Mix it with Franco or Faux as usual Rascarlo has a build out too but its not as feature-riched, not my flavor of ROM but its definitely a good rom as well. Not sure if it has those features but I remembered that he usually includes them, just not sure if its merged already. Be sure to flash the update today as well.
Only thing missing from this ROM is holding status bar to change brightness levels.

Best app for notification leds?

I've tried using light flow but never had it working properly or they would conflict is there any app out there that just works or works good after a little bit of messing about.
I hated not having it with my nexus S then when i got my 5 I thought I'd be able to use them the stock ones are not that good.
Sent from my Nexus 5
Cyanogenmod 12 has really good notification led support built in... But flashing a custom ROM just for that would be crazy ... ?
Haha prob yeah I usually stick to stock on nexus but I do want to install cm once theme engine is fixed, I like lollipop but it doesn't have material everywhere
Check out this one.

Thanks just bought it now do I need to disable the led notification on the phone its self so it doesn't conflict or is it ok
Well that's just the link of LED Blinker PRO. Don't know wether Light Manager Pro is better though since im using CM and don't need such an app
But you can get your money refunded if you don't like the app and uninstall it after testing

GravityBox is intended for AOSP ROMs. Some features might work in EMUI though.

There are many tweaking apps around that only read root or not at all. You can try them but GravityBox is a big no for non-AOSP ROMs.

I havnt used xposed after kitkat. If i need a feature ,i used to move to a rom for having native support. I hate rebooting my device after Activating each and every feature

Android P

Do you guys think once Android P is released we'll get a port of it to this phone? Cause I'm starting to love it. It's looking nice and that gesture base navigation looks cool.

Network speed only shows after swipe down on the status bar.

Is there naanyway to make it stick and always visible on the status bar? Thanks

these kind of mods can only be done by modding the system framework if the rom which I will not do or using a xposed module

I think the update might be coming sooner than later as in the DP3 for Android P the network speed sticks to the status bar.
Hopefully it will be rolled out in the next few updates.
Fingers crossed.
Cheers!!!
