What is King Kang?
King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible. What is the future going to be like for King Kang?
Currently, it is heavily rooted in AOKP as its main base. As the ROM progresses, it will grow and extend its functionality. Want to see a feature from a different ROM that isn't here, or have an idea for a new feature that isn't currently in any other ROM out there? Fill out the feature request form located here so that we can bring it to you! http://kan.gd/1t88What are the current features of King Kang?
All of AOKP's features
ParanoidAndroid per-app DPI changer
Apollo music player from Cyanogenmod
CMs Backuptool when flashing
More is coming soon! Feature request here: http://kan.gd/1t88
How do I install King Kang?
Download the ROM
Reboot into your recovery (TWRP is recommended)
Wipe data if you are coming from a ROM besides King Kang
Flash the King Kang ROM zip
Flash SU zip--> CWM-SuperSU-v0.96.zip
Flash the Google Apps zip
Format your dalvik cache/normal cache
Reboot
Customize your experience to your heart's content!
Download
Get King Kang Jelly HERE
Google Apps: http://goo.im/gapps
Latest one for Jellybean (CM10) should work perfectlyInformation
Some AOKP features power over the ParanoidAndroid ones. For example, in order to get Tablet UI, you first need to check the "Tablet UI" option in ROM Control, then change it to the desired mode in Paranoid Android, and then reboot.
This ROM began as a creation by DAGr8 for Android 4.0, ICS. It offered a simple AOKP + PA combination.
The ROM is currently being built 100% from source. The "team", a.k.a. people maintaining and adding features from other ROMs are Rohan32 and DAGr8. Without the other teams though, this ROM would be nothing.Contribute

If you have any question about how some AOKP features work do some reading
Change logs and downloads:
To enable Tablet UI, you must follow these steps in this exact order!
Code:
1. Rom Control > Nav bar settings > enable nav bar
2. Rom Control > Nav bar settings > change nav bar height to 36 or 40 dp (change for portrait and landscape)
3. Rom Control > General UI > force Tablet UI
4. Paranoid Preferences Settings > Workspace > Tablet UI
5. Reoot to recovery > wipe cache & dalvik cache
6. Reboot
7. Profit???
8. Get creative with paranoid settings dpi/layout settings to
fix launcher and Rom Control settins DPI
BUGS:
This is a WIP, i had some issues with wifi and rotation so i used some files from
Hercules aokp base, so you must keep the stock kernel or you will bork rotation
& possibly wifi-- if you absolutely need a custom kernel you will need to flash one made
for the Hercules phone.

Flashing now...
Nice option with fonts... Launcher and few useful apps...
Awesome boot animation... Stuck for bit long..
Done with that, now optimizing apps... 300 apps in total in my device.. Loving it:thumbup:
BTW @selva,you should post the font preview in OP, so that it's easy to select in aroma, also pls tell about the aosp launcher
Proud to be the first person to flash this ROM after selva....
Scrolling has improved tremendously once cached... Also the green color looks beautiful...
Camera nodding is awesome, though starting time has increased a bit.. Small price to pay..
Also in trebuchet launcher, I guess the search bar is bit buggy
Windows animation is awesome, but sometimes it can be irking, causing too much time to load up, but you can decrease that in developer's option in phone
Not only in Google search bar, but in messaging tools, swype beta and the screen is bit in conflict... Selva do look at this issue pls
Phone has certainly gone faster, but trebuchet a setback, I personally didn't like it and also loads the app drawer again and again... Will revert back to tw ux 5x5 as nova and apex can be installed
Super fast tweaks all over... Must flash
Cheers to Selva,superb ROM :beer::thumbup:

Hey selva buddy!
That's a really nice Rom! Butter smooth and amazing fast!
But I found a little issue... with stock keyboard I can only see the wallpaper and not that what I write, with 3rd party keyboard works it fine.
And the wlan will not work. It finds my router but will not connect to it
After work I will try to flash my xxlq7 again via Odin and then your rom over it. Maybe it solves the problem... I will report what happen.

I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by scott.hart.bti. This is a build composed off of the CM10.2 builds and he has added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with his current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
He plans on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

Ok guys this is your 4.3 beanstalk build i just want to say i dont have this device i have the exhilarate i577 which as you all know is very similar Team chopsticks is developing for our device so any updates i do to your kernel and device trees are going to be based on their work especially carvsdriver and mikeyman77 so please go thank them and hit the donate button if you have the means...
some ground rules
if you have issues please grab a logcat and dmesg if you dont know how to do this search ill post some links when i get time but this is your responsability someone should start a thread for this in the q&a section for discusion then let me know about it so i can subscribe and help when i can, do not flame anyone in this thread this is my thread and if someone gets out of hand i will deal with it there is no such thing as a stupid question, believe it or not some people dont even know that you can search the thread for issues you can help all you want i actually wait to see if the community can answer first before i chime in, this thread is for rom issues only please dont clutter the thread with thanks ,or this rom is awesome type of post use the thanks button thats what it is for, if you want to donate to me then send it as a friend or payment i dont have it setup to accept donations im looking into this and will let you know when this changes, above all be polite and respect me and other members remember we are a comunity so put the group above the individuale this is not my work i sync up scott.b.hartis source and build it other than the device specific stuff on my end that guy does all of the rom side hisself so dont be afraid to stop by his thread and hit the thanks button and donate if you have the means
with that said i am not responsible if you brick break or leave your phone on a bus somewhere you are respnsible for your flashing addiction so pay attention to what you are doing and read the directions and happy flashing enjoy

Just for clarity, I believe I read somewhere that if I flash this version of cwm I'm then unable to flash anything except 4.3 ROM's, correct? And thank you so incredibly much for helping to bring our Blaze to the next level of awesomeness!!

You can restore backups but can't install anything that is not 4.3 because selinux is formatted a special way.

Camera not working. Gallery crashes like 10.1. When i go to unlock the phone and hit the power button just the bottom light come on and not the screen. I have to hit it 2 more times then it comes on.Besides that its running good
In phone info it says selinux is disabled..any way to enable?also can I flash a kernel like lightning zap and/or does this ROMs kernel support voltage control?

It's actually in settings like devilhunter said, specifically you have to disable it in two places. First place to go to is the nav bar option in Rom control and set the height to 0 (off). The second place to go is in Hybid settings, scroll down to to bottom where you see the nav bar visibility and and reduce the slider to the left, which will turn it off completely!:good:
Edit: LOL, wrong rom, I thought this was Dirty Unicorns 4.3.1, but it's practically the same way to disable it anyway.

Hmm, I never tested data on any of these roms since I don't use data plans, but if that's so then tell me is there any of the new or even old 4.2.2 roms we have working data for? Let me know and if there's any, then we can use its files to fix SuperNOVA for you

Correct, but despite that in terms of any port's telephony and data connection working with our A2, they simply need the same certain files to do it. So here's what I want you to do; make a copy of the SuperNova zip, then open it on your PC with any compression software (e.g. 7zip), then open the Mirage rom zip (or any of the other working ones) as well. You will be copying these files from your working data rom to your cloned SuperNOVA, so copy and replace the following:
Code:
system/bin/rild
system/etc/apns-conf.xml
system/lib/libreference-ril.so
system/lib/libril.so
system/lib/libu300-parser.so
system/lib/libu300-ril.so
If you still don't get data working with those files, then replace these additional lib files:
system/lib/modules/caif_hsi.ko
system/lib/modules/caif_serial.ko
After all of that, simply flash that copy after wiping and that *should* do it. If you still don't have data or even losing your baseband, then I guess you'll have to use another rom with your data plan

Installed easily, seems pretty stable, features, etc. But I noticed it uses imoseyon, does this mean it supports OC/UCing?
Installed fine using PA Gapps full-modular.
Edit: Yeah I'm not getting any signal either. WiFi works great, though.
Working great on my end. Very fast and stable. No reboots yet and signal is fine for me. Thx for a great ROM!

Yes I've been having youtube trouble on 2 different roms since yesterday and on PC. Some videos won't load.
day two no issues at all. not even systemui fc that I've experienced with other 4.4.4 roms. great job. Using lean kernel
Getting a fc after using voice text..banks minimal gapps..otherwise very smooth..

Edit: Texting is also broken for me. I can receive but all outgoing texts fail.

You know what, I think you're right. Just checked baseband and it's MB1. Is there a page with all the Android modems for download? I'd like to know for reference because I always find myself searching for them...

I must be lucky. I haven't had any problems with this rom at all. as far as texting, is it the stock messaging app? I use chomp and have no issue receiving, sending, mms...........all work for me.

I have the same issue with all messaging apps. Stock, go sms, and hangouts. No idea.
