Here are some points, please make sure you meet them:
1.Do you have samsung usb drivers installed?
2.Open up taskmanger, and end any kies process you find
3.Make sure you run Odin with administrator privileges (Right click...)
3.Try a different usb port
4.Try a different usb cable (The cable came from the box would be the best option)
5.Try a different computer
6.Try a different mobile

If you're able to go in the download mode and still not being detected in odin, do the following-
Open the back panel of your device.
Press the download mode combo along with the reset button which is between the camera and speaker of the phone (you'll need help of another person to do so).
You're device must be detected by now.
If still the phone is not detected, you probably lack drivers for the phone in your pc. Best way to get them is install kies on your pc.
Hope this helps.
Best luck.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda app-developers app
... or download and install SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe
...or try to connect the usb cable directly on the pc without any usb hub
cheers!
Odin doesn't detect your phone but does Windows detect it?
That is the first step to see if it is a driver problem or a software problem.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
if you use win7..will automatically find and install drive..or just download pdanet drive

just unistall kies from ur PC and if u have installed Samsung drivers separately, remove that also...then robot the windows...now install Samsung kies...then connect ur phone in normal mode frst.let the drivers get installed..then after that remove the usb cable.. switch off ur phone, go to download mode in mobile, then open odin and connect the phone in download mode..it will be detected...
If all their suggestions still doesn't solve your problem, try it using other PC. It will work. I have also experienced that. Hehe...

KIES is the solution.
You just install it, and it will install the drivers you need.
After that you won´t have ant other trouble.

How did you flash TWRP and custom if your USB port isn't working?
Download Mode is independent of ROM so unless your hardware got damaged since flashing custom, there's no reason it shouldn't work
Try installing Samsung S7 driver again, remove old drivers from device manager first while phone is connected / enabled "Show hidden devices" from device manager while phone is disconnected and remove old drivers
Windows should install the correct driver itself

If you have tried 4 PCs, and different USB cables then you need to get your USB port on the phone replaced / repaired

It's showing USB device not recognised. I already tried reinstalling the drivers and replacing the USB Cable but to no avail. Can someone help me out?

If it failed after replacing the cable and you are sure the drivers are working then it's possible that the port is broken and there is nothing you can do about it unless you bring it into a repair shop. At most you can share files through internet, Bluetooth or SDcard if this happens.

Hey. Thanks for the reply! I will give my tab for repair shortly. I just have a couple more questions.
1. My Laptop is running Windows 11 and my PC is running 10. I don't have previous versions of Windows. Is Windows 11/10 responsible for this in any way? i.e. will the device be recognised in computers running older versions of Windows? (I have already tried the fixes mentioned in Windows forums for "USB Device not Recognized" but to no avail).
2. Is there any way to access Download Mode, root, install a custom recovery & ROM without using the USB cable ?

Windows is not at fault. I am using windows 10 myself and everything works as expected. If it was at fault then it didn't manage to find a suitable driver in which case you have to do it manually.
Also from what I know you are not able to flash a custom recovery through the SD card in download mode. I believe it has to be done through the cable. But if you already have a custom recovery installed you can install a custom ROM just fine with an SD card

About no. 2., you may try this method to first root, then install TWRP, and then install custom rom. But please read the instructions and NOTE carefully.
Best ROM (2021) for Tab 2 10.1
Hello everyone, I have this old Tab 2 10.1 that belongs to my mother and she hasn't used it in a while (Don't know the exact model). I unlocked the boot loader and want to flash it, but I was wondering what's the latest Android it could support...
