So I have the Moto G dual Sim variant with KitKat and it is draining battery very fast. It's like in constant use without keeping it Down for minute , the battery drains 1percent every 4 minutes. Is it normal or there is a problem with my device?

Hello everyone.
I have a very serious problem with battery drain on my SGS3. Every rom I use, every kenel I use, even with stock firmware, I have 16% or sometimes bigger drain in 8 hours at night when I'm sleeping. It was not like that before I rooted my phone. I've tried like 4 roms, ICS, JB, even stock, but the same thing is happening. Please give me some advices. I've ran BetterBatteryStats and it shows that l2_hsic and multipdp is making big drain, also google maps and facebook. Should I try freezing these apps? Usually the drain happens when I reboot my phone after a single charge with AC or USB cable. If I just disconnect my phone from charging after charge, there's no any drain, it's like 1% drained per 5 hours whatever I do, but if I reboot my device after charge, it drains immidiately. Please help!
probably battery gone I had same problem with my SII

did you try wiping your battery stats and re-training it?
I had purchased my moto g 20 days back .On 03/03/2014 i had charged my moto g to 100% .After that i had used internet for few hrs and the battery went to 85%. I didn't use it after that and had kept the phone on a desk. After 2 hrs when i picked up the phone to my surprise it was in switched off mode. I switched it on and found the battery level as 1%.
I fail to understand how it got switched off and came from 85% to 1% with no use at all , no wifi ,no calls etc.
This is the second time i faced this issue .First on 27-02-2014.
I haven’t connected my moto g to pc till now. I am using official moto g charger that came with my phone.
I had recallibrated my battery already by keeping it in charging stage for almost 5 hrs on 27/02/2014 when I first faced this issue.
Is the battery faulty or what?
Has anyone else faced such issue ? Any Fix?

Hi I have a moto g XT1031 and recently I've been observing that my battery drains from 100 percent to 92 percent in an hour in airplane mode with on screen time of only 1 min. I tried calibrating my battery. Also I have no other apps installed only gaps.
I have the stock gpe 4.4.4 flashed on my device now but the problem is with every rom.

I've similar issue. I'm on 4.4.4 and I notice a huge change in battery issue. I've a feeling that it happened just after the 4.4.4 update. Someone got some ideas?
It's not just a 4.4.4 problem, been around for a while. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2654180
I find DS Battery Saver has a profound effect. Even in 'Balance' mode. Make sure you launch the module or app in order to start the service.

I was having exactly the same issue, then i installed Battery Calibration. Calibrated my battery 10mins after hitting 100% battery charge. Then discharged my battery to 0% through normal usages (let the phone automatically switch off). Then recharge the battery to 100% without interruption while the phone was still off.
This solved my problem. Hopefully it does the same for you

Try this app:
Battery Doctor (Battery Saver) by Cheetah Mobile Inc.
It helped me find apps that were draining battery. It may be useful for you too
Make it run for two-three days and then go to stats: it will show you apps that drain more juice

Ds battery saver is good but if you want full control over system apps like maps and other users apps try greenify, ds work as great task killer, but greenify hibernate app and work flawlessly you will control your apps like a rooted device, worth trying I am soo satisfied with greenify that I purchased full version

Hi,
Im new to this thing.
I just flashed my Zuk Z2 plus with Viper OS. My problem is that battery is charging only to something like 80%. Probably to save battery life, but it pisses me off, cause in the morning my battery is already like on 70%, when im out of work its already on 20 percent.
Can i disable this restriction to charging battery and charge it to the 100% all the time when it is connected to charger??
I have been in settings battery, but there is no such option.
Plz help.
Mine seems to be topping the list of battery drain
Further update ,is this normal phone idle useage
From the day one when I bought this phone, I had Battery drain and I've been using all tips and trick. mostly tweaking setting and surprisingly yesterday night I had 0% battery drain with turning off Wifi.

You have no cell signal?
Had cell signal all day
Don't get me wrong ,battery life is great so far today on 43% and had 3hrs 20 mins SOT,just strange to see phone idle at the top of the list
I'm having the same issue. Idle Phone drain definitely goes away when I turn on airplane mode but I haven't tried turning off WiFi yet. I transferred all of my settings and apps from a Pixel 2 XL that had no issues with power consumption.
99% after 8 hours idle overnight
stock ROM
unrooted
If I had to take a guess, some app is draining your battery.

I'm on stock 7.1 unrooted
Dispute this still getting great battery life with 5/6 hrs SOT
Is there any app that can help identify what is causing phone idle to drain the battery
