[Q] HardBrick after update (samsung stock) - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
My GF have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8000) and in february she updated to N8000UBCML2. Ah, she never used root, CWM, etc, her tablet is totally "official", so she updated her tablet using WiFi but after the update her tablet started to "reboot every X hours" sometimes more or less. I did a wipe and her tablet is now very better but sometimes he just reboot and get in loop.
She asked me to go to the old version, since the old version was working fine. So I tried to enter in Recovery Mode but her tablet just reboot 2~3 seconds after enter in Recovery Mode, I really don't know what to do I can't use Odin.
Someone help plx

I need of serious help. Galaxy Tab GT-P3113 stuck in boot loop!

Ok so I have tried on another thread that kind of went dry mainly cause I was MIA....but now I am back and have done some more reading up and think it is safe to say rooting and trying customer ROM's is not for me...lol I pretty much messed up a new Galaxy Tab 2 7' brand new only after a few weeks trying to root it. I had another thread link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1834368&page=2
But I did not get anything to work right. At this point I am really just looking to get the tablet working. I don't really care what firmware rooted or unrooted...i just want to be able to use it....do some more research and and maybe join the rooting community again when I get a Galaxy S3.
I'd appreciate any help. I am pretty stuck right now!
Go into Download mode "power" plus "down volume", then up volume. Use ODIN to load this:

You will need driver from Samsung Keis install for P3113

FYI - I needed to load CMOC10-Kernel to get my tab to stop boot looping when I flashed JB AOKP

Worked like a charm....you made it simple! Thanks!
Continous boot loop on tab 2 p3113
My problems are kind of different from all the others I have read. Yes it is similar that it boot loops. But mine freezes at different areas in boot mode. This is driving me crazy and I am spending way too much time and effort trying to fix it. Hopefully you can help.
I don't really know for sure if the android os was 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 or some other rom but it did state in download mode that it was original and not custom rom.
I received this tab from ebay and it is new never used, but somehow whoever had it probably tried to flash it and now I received it with a continuous loop. They stated that it stuck in SAMSUNG logo. I found it true but it also stuck other places as well. I did do a reset first before I attempted to flash it.
I did the Odin flashing.I found the 4.2.2 xar file HOME_XAR_P3113UEUCMK3_1978026_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 and did according to instructions. But that didn't work. It did boot into android but it didn't stay there very long and rebooted itself. I couldn't stay more than 20-30 seconds and it would reboot itself or freeze at various places in android. I also hard reset it. Still same thing. It would also freeze on the first samsung logo tab 2 screen and also at the blue circle with samsung logo. It was different every time. I would have to hold down the on button until it rebooted. It also stalls or freezes during Android upgrading... Optimizing app at various number stages sometimes it goes thru that and then to the next phase of installing apps then it freezes again. I cannot get it to work if I try to upgrade via wireless upgrade to samsung. it will freeze even before it downloads the upgrade file.
I then flashed back to the original xar file P3113UECLK7_P3113XACCLK7_XAC which is 4.1.1 That worked a little better, but it freezes and also the sound chatters when it freezes on bootup you know, when the samsung sound comes on then the blue circle.
Finally I tried to recover or flash from the recovery mode using the upgrade from a sdcard. using the original 4.1.1 xar file. It hewlped a little but still doing the continuous boot loop at different stages but it gets to the Android is upgrading... more often. It freezes always now.
So I don't know what else to do. You mentioned a CMOC10-Kernel to load, how does one go about doing that and what are the steps.
Thanks in return if you can suggest things.

[Q] Samsung P5113

I think my daughters tablet has been soft bricked but im unsure of how to fix it.
It was running ICS i believe. We had two of the tablets(both bought at exactly the same time). I went to update them both and the first one downloaded and installed an update absolutely fine without any issues. The second one (the one in question) downloaded it but wasnt able to install the update. It just failed and reset the clock every time i tried.
I decided to reset it completely and was then going to flash the latest jelly official rom( onto it which i found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704668
So i booted into recovery and wiped it and did a factory reset but then the thing just got stuck in a continuous boot loop.
So i wiped it again and now everytime it boots it just boots into recovery unless i specifically hold power and volume up to boot into download mode.
So i thought that was odd but i would just go ahead and put the rom on and maybe that would fix the issue. So i used odin and the jelly bean rom shown in that thread above
P5113UECLK7 (4.1.1) - Cellular south November 2012 (Official)
It all went fine it passed and i thought it would now work. I had to unplug the cable and it turn the thing on as it just started charging after completing instead of restarting and it did come up with a status loading bar as if it was going to do something but then it just turns itself off again after a few seconds and again when you try to turn it on it just goes straight into recovery.
The tablet is charged up to 100% but i cant get it to do anything else.
I tried using ICS instead P5113UEBLI1 (4.0.4) - Singapore September 2012 (Official)
but still the same. Not sure what else to do? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
In Odin did you have the auto reboot option selected? I'm asking because I was in the situation as you..I flashed wrong cm10 ROM and it was just in a boot loop.. I let the battery run out and then I charged it while it was off. I downloaded the stock jb firmware(mine came with jb preinstalled) and flashed with only auto reboot checked nothing else and it worked..

(sOLVED) my note is stuck on Samsung boot screen!!

i upgraded my note N8000 via odin mobile pro with success and everything was smooth and the root was not intact
I tried to flash a theme via mobile odin but was not success, but note was still ok
then 2 days later I tried to enter the recovery mode , i found the note stuck on samsung boot screen and dose not reboot, I can enter download mode but can not enter recovery mode to reflash even the stock rom
what to do?
should i reflash the CWM as 1st time? then reflash the root if i found it is gone?
or i have to reflash the stock rom first via odin desk top since i can not reboot the note? problem is the stock rom is on the note and do not have it on PC
the note now is on Samsung boot screen, how to turn it off since note can not remove the battery?
EDIT 1::good:
Flashed a stock recovery via odin desk top, and rebooted
Note is back alive , no wipes, every thing still there, root still here
Rebooted once again with success
rebooted into recovery (stock since I lost my CWM) with success
EDIT 2
Flashed CWM and my note is back for my modifications
:fingers-crossed:
Stock Recovery File?

It says you flashed a stock recovery. Is it the same case for a stock ROM?

sorry, my mistake, flashing the stock rom will not delete your stuff, just be sure to flash the same rom or higher, not lower one
So, I tried flashing the stock recovery and that did not work. And then I tried flashing the stock rom (multiple times with different roms) and that did not work either. My tablet is still stuck on the screen that says "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1". Do you have any other suggestions?

My Note 10.1 N8013 was rooted, had TWRP, and Cyanogenmod 10.2 Nightly on it. I hadn't touched it in two days and went to turn it on. It wouldn't turn on, so I assumed it was dead. I charge it overnight and try to turn it on in the morning, but it just goes into a boot loop. The tablet says "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" and stays that way until it dies. If I boot into recovery mode, the Teamwin (TWRP) title screen pops up and then immediately disappears. The tablet then shows the battery loading icon if it is plugged in. The icon shows up, then disappears and the shows up again and repeats this a few times. I could only boot into download mode successfully.
I have tried flashing different stock roms and recoveries through odin, including the one that you have linked on here. None of them have worked. I have also tried repartitioning the tablet, which passed on Odin, but did not solve the problem.
Other forums say that I should do a factory reset or wipe the data, but I do not know how to do this without being able to boot into recovery or the OS itself.
Thanks
P.S. I also brought it to Best Buy to see if the Samsung guy could reflash the stock rom, but his rom did not work either. They are all passing on Odin, so it isn't an error in that case.
I read that a lot of people got problems with Cyano roms. I did not like it and never used it, sorry can not help you

Could it be because of the Cyanogen rom? I didn't update recently... I probably updated it a week before it died. Would you happen to know how to do a factory reset / wipe the data from the tablet, if I can't get into recovery mode or the OS?
I don't think that there is any other way, sorry about that.
try to put your problem in the Cyano rom thread, may others had the same and solved it
Ok thank you
Let me know if you get it fixed
Hi kyleschepis,
Let me know if you find a solution. I have a very similar issue . . . the difference is, I am not using a custom ROM. I have the stock ROM that came with the GT-N8013.
My issue started about 5 days ago. My Galaxy Note had been having occasional issues with the external SD card. A warning would appear saying that the SD card had been removed, and a couple of seconds later it would re-mount and every thing was fine.
But 5 days ago, I picked up my note and turned the screen on (it was already started) and noticed the warning message while the screen was still locked. Then, as the second message was still being displayed letting me know that the SD card had been mounted, I swipe the screen to unlock. But instead of unlocking, my Note completely rebooted. It got as far as the logo screen (displaying "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1"), but would go no further.
I am able to get into the Odin download mode but cannot get into recovery mode no matter what I do/
I have tried re-flashing the stock ROM ("KIES_HOME_N8013UEUCMI3_N8013XARCMI3_813049_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5") several times, as well as trying to install customer recovery modes like CWM and TWRP, as well as the stock recovery. But the power + volume up combination does not get me into recovery mode. Even if, as many have suggested, I continue holding the button combination until the logo screen displays a second or a third time.
I have been without my Note for 5 days now, and I use it for everything. So, any help I can get would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

I have the same problem. I was just playing a game when it suddenly turned off and went to the boot screen. Also tried installing N8000XXUDNE5_N8000OLBDNE3_N8000DXUDND1_HOME.tar.md5 (success but also didn't work). Still stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" screen.
Also can't access recovery, or do a wipe before installing firmware (I think USB debugging isn't turned on).
Did you find any solutions yet?
Thanks.

Motorola Xoom2 3G z616 always enter AP Fastboot mode when shutted down on rebooted

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum.
It from about two or three months I became an "Android modder", when I installed CyanogenMod13 on my Samsung Galaxy s3, just because I had the JelllyBean version of the system and I wanted to switch to a newer one.
But the problem came when I tried to put Marshmallow on my Motorola Xoom2 (3G z616), that had an IceCream SandWich Android version.
After a few tries I discovered that my tablet as an unlockable bootloader, but the damage was already done.
This afternoon I wiped the all to factory settings, but the problem wasn't resolved.
Tecnically my tablet works fine, I rooted it using KingRoot app and installed SuperSU for root permission management.
But the problem is that everytime I shutdown or reboot my tablet, it automatically enters AP Fastboot Mode.
That's not a big problem, I just have to click the power button, then enter the choose menu between Normal, Recovery, and a few other startup types. It's just very annoying. And if my mother or someone else as to use it, he/she doesn't know how to powerup the tablet.
Does anyone now how to solve it, I mean, how to not enter fastboot mode each time I shutdown the tablet?
Thanks to everyone!!

Problem with bricked GT-N8000

Hi everyone
I have GT-N8000 2012 version. A week ago it suddenly went off and I am no longer able to turn it on, i.e. after showing the Samsung white logo, it is restarted. I have tried flashing different firmware versions but it doesn't help. Also the Power+VolumUp combination does not show any menu (I think it usually boots a menu for factory reset). What can I do? (I prefer being able to recover my data).
Thanks in advance
Same problem here, on same device type (N8000 2012, standard stock samsung firmware).
Mine doens't even reach the Samsung logo. It just gets to the 1st screen (Galaxy Note 10.1 white message) and reboots after a couple of seconds.
Also can get to any menu using Power & VolumeUp (doesn't seen to have any effect). Only Power &VolumDown gets to the Download menu.
Unless this is a Hardware problem I wanted to factory reset the device, hopping this would clean "everything" but put it running again.
Thanks
Suggest flash stock rom via Odin ,and download mode.
try this one

no worries. it happens. soft brick situation
you need a stock rom for your device or back up rom.
go back to PC and start ODIN, cable in, then boot your device under download mode not recovery.
once it is in download mode, flash your device using ODIN.
allow to reboot.
un-bricked device.:good:
stock ROMs are here in case you are looking

let me know how it goes.
