Bought my A117 three weeks ago, and had to submit it at the service center because of hardware issues (screen flicker and motherboard issues).
Anybody here have issues like this?
Got my phone back. I want to try the Note 3 ROM, but I have some questions. Since I can't ask them in the developers forum, will it be okay if I asked them here?
What are your questions? If they are not already asked in other threads better to start a New thread depending on the questions..

Does the ROM has the same touch wiz problem as every galaxy phone, ie being slower than the nexus launcher?

Oh I thought you want to ask about flashing stuff... Anyway I have not tried this rom as personally I don't like touchwiz ui....
I suggest try rom yourself if not good just revert back to stock....
Every rom has some different features and good things like apps,fonts boot animations, sounds etc you can extract them and use on ur stock or any other rom....

Flashing is not new to me. I've been doing this for a long time now. What I like in the ROM is the working multi window mod. anyways I'll might try it. Thanks!
So I have never been able to get over 90% battery on my cell phone. I have tried charging for 4 hours straight, but it gets stuck on 90%. Anyone else have similar issues?

Try the MIUI ROM if you are not a gamer. It's the best ROM in my opinion. You'll fall in love with the interface. Better than any ****ty samsung touchwiz or whatever.

I am also searching for a Kernel to Overclock my Attain, but no luck so far :/ Maybe i can Pay a Dev to make one?
I would say go ahead and root as to be ready for when they finally get around to developing the custom roms. And it also helps in reducing battery discharge.

The only custom rom I know of is GASMOD by genevodot. Other than that there's really nothing else

Well I update to 2.3.6 as soon as I got my attain so I've never been able to try gasmod

still searching for a custom rom for my attain.. rooted, but only in hope that a rom will come out soon. im not interested in the gasmod rom, there is still too many problems with it and the devs dont seem to want to apply any fixes.

Well the dev that made gasmod broke his attain so that will pretty much remain unfinished. All in all the attain is pretty much dead in terms of development activity and without a CWM recovery there's not much that can be be done. So don't hope for a custom rom lol. Even one member on the androidforums said he was gonna build a rom but that never saw the light of day. If you're familiar with theming then you can Atleast theme your attain to how you want it and add a few tweaks to the build.prop but that's about it.

Thank you for the help.. I got an ics theme using holo launcher.. Its pretty ok. I would feel better with a custom recovery and such but.. As it seems metro pcs isnt even selling my phone anymore so think im dead in the water... Thanks forbthe help though

Welcome to our happy, growing family!
Not to sound rude or anything, but you did notice the stock deodexed rom in the dev section? And the multiple deodexed roms currently available for the A2? So, yea, it has been done.. and can be done by anyone with the resourcefulness required.
In fact, just finished deodexing the stock framework files myself.. (i'm starting fresh from my wife's stock 2.3.6 )... so, yup.. you, too can do it.
P.S. The latest version of xUltimate actually let's you do it without connecting your phone via usb..
Feel free to PM me if you want some specifics of how i make it work..

Thnx a lot!! Yep, I know that is a CMW Backup deodexed, but like you, I wanna do it my self. And for the modded roms, I tried Supercharger for like a month, but my phone was to hot (literally, the CPU was working always at 50% load) and had to recharge the battery twice a day... so I decide back to stock rom and make some tweaks my self.
So, I'll give a try soon, if I need help, I'll be pm u

I'm just throwing this out there for you but victory rom is a good one to try. It runs extremely well and the battery life is good.

my wm8850 boots normally but after a while touch screen stops responding! ithe device locks and in about 5 minutes comes to normall again! i use it for some minutes again and i have the same problem! touch screen is not responding! i did a fw update WM8850_Uberoid_v0.5_JB_4.1.1 but still have the same problem!
can anyone help me?

Doubt it's hardware. Try another ROM or kernel.

No because I do not have that device, so I cannot intelligently recommend one. Plus everyone likes something different in their custom ROMs. Just find one that looks like it has few bugs in the change-log.

Hello Guys,
I made this thread to ask if anyone needs any rom or kernel which has a dead link. I have a 40gig folder which is full of stuff for the glacier, and since my glacier doesn't work properly, I was gonna delete it. I kept it though for now in case anyone needs anything from it.
I also have some unofficial roms ...(coughsoulsensecough).. lol.
Interested to see what that's all about, if u know what I mean (cough, nudge, cough) lol

I would love to see what you have in your stash. I was just given this device, and there's not much current development happening. I've heard of a certain Rom *cough* that I haven't been able to find, and I would also like the scoop on what kernels are out there. Almost every Rom I try, I keep running into the same issues. IE: lag and graphic glitches.

I am new to rooting and flashing custom ROMS. I have an AT&T Galaxy S6 and I want to know what's the cleanest and most stable way I can root this device and install a custom ROM? I have been having issues since I received an over the air update from AT&T, and even when I reboot my phone to factory settings that update still gets pushed through. So my choice now is get a new phone or try a custom ROM and see if that helps.

In the S6 General section. I believe this is probably your best bet in terms of ROM's, slap Hacker Kernel on the side and enjoy many battery benefits too!

I have been using the ROM someone linked above (xtrestolite 3.3.1) since I got the phone used several months ago. It's been nearly flawless, almost no lag at all, battery life much better than stock. I tried a couple other roms and had issues almost immediately so I went back to this. I'm sticking with it until after custom roms based on the nougat update come out, so several more months likely.
You can use alexis rom it's very good.with pretty handy feature s like clock position in status bar,network speed indicator,touchwiz launcher gestures etc..

Indeed, you're right in every word you said but to be honest, I was going to message him to help him but something disturbed me and I forgot about the whole case. Apparently, everyday users post something like that, asking for the "best ROM and kernel", I just got tired seeing those posts, in fact, it's the first time I reply to this kind of post. With all my respect, thanks for clarifying your point and opinion.
