This is one of my first apps, and I'm new to app development, so any feedback or tips are greatly appreciated. I have many plans for future features and updates. Any feedback or replies are greatly appreciated! Also, any ratings or downloads help, thanks!
Description: Are you looking for a fast, minimal, smooth notepad app? Or is your current notes app slow or ugly? TxtNote was created with that in mind. TxtNote is a very fast and smooth note taking app that gets what you want done with a very simple and minimalistic design. As a long time android user, could based note taking apps were unusable with a bad connection. And standard, local file, note apps would have so many features, the reason why I downloaded it became lost in the features, I would lose my notes if the app uninstalled, and it slowed down the device itself. However, TxtNote is a local file app where .txt files (hence the name TxtNote) are saved onto your external SD card. So even if you uninstall the app, or wipe your phone's data, or install a new custom rom, your notes will always be there, and you can easily back them up from your SD card. And, since it isnt could service based, TxtNote will always be reliable, at a smooth speed no matter what connection you have! TxtNote is the perfect minimalist note app, and I hope you agree!
If you have any suggestions or problems, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected], and rate this five stars if you enjoy it. Thank you!

Hello all, I am back with another app. This time I'm working on a fairly basic image editor for android. The main purpose of it is to add clipart to your already existing images. I am still planning on adding many features as this app is still in early form. If anyone has any suggestions or bug reports, feel free to post here, I will be checking frequently. It's available on the market for $1.50 if you feel like donating but is also available for free here for the xda community. You guys have been great over the past years so I continue to post my paid apps here for free. I look forward to the feedback. Thanks so much.
Download the apk here.
Your App
Hi-di-hi..
I am The Custom Beaver.
I'm a designer with an app idea, but it was so complicated - I've shelfed it! (for now)
On the other hand, I have a very simple idea where I would like to place just one clipart image on the users photo - and then have them upload that photo on fb.
Your app sounds perfect for the job. You fancy emailing me [email protected], add my title and one simple peice of art to it, and sell it back to me. Ideally I want it for all platforms.

De-Bloat list for stock rom

I don't know if there is a thread already for this. Can anyone list the apps and bloatware that are safe to freeze using titanium backup on the stock rom...

Download Scott's clean Rom, much easier then doing it yourself. Completely stock, debloated, tweaked, and nice mods if you want them.

Additional debloat!
A helpful tool I use to clear up space and make the system faster is an app called "DiskView", downloadable free from Play Store. It analyzes all partitions and lists directories/files and a percentage bar of how much space they're taking. With this I found a bunch of instructional how-to videos in the system/media/video/GuidedTour folder. Also, taking up some space are the hidden Voice Recognition language packs under /system/VODB. Delete all the language code folders you don't want. Also, this using like 10MB but also a privacy concern, there was a face recognition database under /system/lib. If you don't use the preloaded Swype keyboard, even after you uninstalled it, there's an extra database under /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so. Delete.
If you have a Galaxy Note, it might be worth noting that the S Note templates that you could never seem to delete can now be removed permanently. They actually use up a lot of space. First, delete the templates from your usual S Note folder on your SD card, obviously. Then navigate to /system/preload and /system/preloaddata and delete everything related to S Note in there. For me there was nothing other than S Note stuff. Should be the templates in one and a database in the other. Once you reboot, they'll never come back!
Enjoy!

[APP][4.0+] Pic Perfect: Compare, manage, and share your best photos!

Hi everyone, and happy new year!
I think many of you would find useful the app I have just developed and published:
Pic Perfect helps you find the best image out of a set you choose by showing you two at a time, side by side, and then giving you options to copy/move/delete/share them.
With it, you no longer have to flip back and forth between images in your gallery to pick the best photo for an album cover or to post on Facebook/Instagram/etc. And it's even more ideal for burst mode, since it will disregard pictures it can guess you don't want. For example, given 30 images, if you like Image 10 better than Image 20 then it won't show you Images 21-30. (But you can always choose not to use that feature if you don't want it).
Let me know what you think!
UPDATE 1/12/14: I added apk for direct download. Find it below. Thanks!
Thanks,

Really couldn't ask for more, this app; simple and easy to use. A really good application and does what it is supposed to..and well.
To the developers at SAA, you deserve it.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! Please be sure to rate it 5 stars, if you would be so kind.
Added .apk for direct download. Thanks for checking it out!
Edit: I figured out how to add it in original post, so I removed the apk from this comment.
A quick update for everyone: I just implemented zoom functionality on the Compare screen. Check it out and let me know what you think!

I have reworked the zoom functionality so it should be much smoother now. There shouldn't be any more problems with large (13MP) photos anymore.
Hi all, I've made some more improvements to the app. Check out Pic Perfect v1.1.2, and please rate it five stars if you like it!

(there are more in the play store, or why dont you just download the app and see it for yourself?
it looks better on a real device anyway )
I would appreciate it, if you have a second or two to check out my app and maybe leave a rating or a comment, or
post here what you like and what you dont like. Also don't hesitate to let me know about feature requests
I already have some more features planned to release in the newxt few versions.
Currently the app is available in English and German. If you want to help me to translate Light Notes to
other languages, i would be more than happy.
Anyways.. You can grab my app over at the google play store (it is free)
(click)
Thanks for reading and checking out Light Notes! It means a lot to me
Release notes
1.0.0 (2014-04-13)
first public release to the playstore
anyone? :/
i've released an update to the app.
This fixes a little bug on Nexus 7 devices
So, what differentiates this from Google Keep?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I downloaded this for the statusbar note displaying functionality, and it's good although I'd be incredibly happy with it if there was an option to remove the icon in the status bar whilst still keeping the notes in the pulldown
Thanks
Looks nice, will try soon!

[APP][4.0+] PixelBomb Beta - Create awesome glitch art

View attachment 2936335
Update 9/20/14: Implemented some features a lot of people were asking for:
GALLERY VIEW - view, share, and delete your images from directly within the app.
RECENTS VIEW - quickly switch back to frequently used images
Some minor UI tweaks and bug fixes. New icon!
Update 9/15/14: I've just released an update that should fix the FCs on pre-4.4 phones!
Hi guys, first time I've posted on XDA in a very, very long time.
I've just released PixelBomb Beta. PixelBomb is a pixel sorting app, the only one for Android as far as I know. What is pixel sorting? This is pixel sorting:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It's a method of rearranging pixels in an image to achieve a cool glitchy effect, pioneered by Kim Asendorf. Check out reddit.com/r/glitch_art and reddit.com/r/pixelsorting for more, if you're into it.
I actually released this app a few days ago, and today released an update that improved speed by a factor of 25. Java be slow, C be fast.
Anyways, if you want to check it out, please do, here's a video (warning: music) if you want to see how it works.
Download here: Play Store link
I'm here to answer any questions, feature requests, etc.
Questions about development? Ask away.
Need help? Ask.
It is still in Beta, there are still some crashes occurring out in the wild, so if you get one, please let me know ASAP! Speak up on here, or use the feedback button in the app. I'm doing my best to make this a really great app, I'd love to have feedback from the community,
Thanks for looking. :good:
The $0.99 price tag on the Pro version is not going to last much longer - the app is almost out of beta! Snap it up while you can still get it for cheap!
Get PixelBomb Pro Beta on Google Play
In free version is not possibile work with photos from sdcard.
