Sprint has hard cases for Arrive in stores now, ready for the 20th. I got to take a look at it but didn't get a price.
They have the holsters and shell style cases think the shell is just the gel though. I like the holster its not bulky but seems it may fall out easy cuz it don't have a front fascia plate.

Are you talking about the case that has the wood grain finish on the back.....anyone try it yet?

My wife tried it in the store, it is not bad actually. Not too bulky, looks kind of fancy.
But I really just want a good screen protector, my sprint store had none.
Ya, I don't like that their screen protectors only cover the viewing part of the screen, not the entire glass front.....I'm going to look into phantomSkins and see if they have them yet. Thanks for the info.
I remember that there were none screen protectors for 7 PRO in february (so i think that i will not buy it now) but i remember that i found some official HTC shop, saying that it will be aviable in march. Original screen protectors, go & buy them

Doesn't the Arrive use Gorilla Glass or whatever the EVO uses? If so, then no need for a screen protector. My EVO has been in my jean pocket since I got it last June with zero scratches or marks.
Ceger
Just in case anyone is interested. The screen protector for the Shift matches the screen size for the 7 Pro perfectly. I bought a set in a Sprint store and that's what I am using.
As someone mentioned it's only for the viewable part of the screen; it doesn't make it down to the buttons which is what I wanted anyway.
I bought 2 screen protectors for the Arrive for my wife and I on Ebay from Clearfreak. They were cheaper on ebay than on their own website.
It is supposed to cover the entire glass.
I plan to install it on 1 phone and not the other to test out how thick it is, and if it degrades the sensitivity etc. I will post pictures/review once it comes in.

I did the same, except my last two experiences at applying a protector (and using the cardboard piece to clear off the air bubbles) was QUITE the failure
Luckily, my friends have told me any Sprint store will do it for free for you if you bring the cover and phone in. Sounds stupid, but somehow, I've never been able get those dreaded things to stay..
I will say, the protectors from clearfreak are primo. for 3.99, thumbs way the hell up
I'm using the screen protector for the evo shift, and its good.
Regarding Bluetooth; which ones are you guys using out there? Any recommendations for optimal performance regarding text to speech and announcing callers id names?
it's been a long time coming since the phone's release, but the boxwave cleartouch screen protector is really good. You can't tell its there after applying (it looks like glass). Had this on my old diamond back in the day and worked well for years.
Old thread, I know, but I'm still rockin' my 7 Pro. I wish US Cellular would get the Lumia phones.
Anyway I just want to add that the BodyGlove case for this phone (designated as an HTC Arrive case) is fantastic and is less than $5 with free shipping on Amazon.
I can't post links here until I get 10 posts, so just search for "Body Glove Glove Snap-On Case for HTC Arrive" in Amazon.
Mine has survived several drops on pavement with no damage to the phone.

Just so that everyone is aware, Xtremeguard.com is selling S4 screen protectors really cheap right now, 60% off in fact. If you want a good day one protection, check them out.
I've used them before on my nexus 10, the protector has a very slight orange peel look to it, but it isn't terrible, and for such a large screen, it doesn't show up much at all. Worth the protection, and less orange peel than ZAGG... Be sure to use the 60off coupon for 60% off your order! $3.50 for a full body protection.

Here is a picture of it, go to xtremeguard.com, on this page there are three options to order. Back only, Full Body [Add $5.00], and Front only. Just click on the full body option and it'll add it to the cart.
The price is right on these, but the protector is sticky and they stretch when you are installing them.
Bought two cases, one screen protector and one full body protection for $12.37, amazing in my opinion, not sure about the quality of the cases though.

To keep the protector from stretching, be sure to use a rubber squeegee and put a little soapy water on it. It'll glide right over the top of the protector and not stretch it at all.
Thanks. Got the 77% discount. Ordered a few.
Got 80% off using COASTER, thanks guys! Got 4 full body's for an i5, i4, and s4 and came out to 7.50

so i dropped my phone from a height of less than 1m and the screen is shattered. anyways, i dont want to explain what happened but i need your advice.
now the lcd and touch are working but the glass at front is shattered
I searched online and nexus 5 has a fused lcd with glass and something like that so i cant buy the front glass seperately. ebay has replacements for about 180-200$.
is there any cheaper way to fix the screen? no warranty btw
I think there wont be any cheaper way. You don't have waranty¿

Even if it is the right screen, it most likely isn't oem quality.
Easy to think you don't need a case. Until you drop a nice phone then you become a believer after that.
I just went through the same thing. Found a new oem frame with LCD and digitizer on eBay $148 shipped. Installed it today in 30 minutes and its as good as new! Thing is I have a case on it 95% of the time and the ONE day i take it off for a break it gets dropped.... Ugh!! It is what it is...

perhaps in the Nexus 6 google will add a bezel to absorb some of that shock from a flat face down drop
Like in the Note 3 here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXX_35xy8Rc
the iPhone 5s has the same FLAT design on the screen without a bezel like the Nexus 5 which gives all the impact to the glass itself
Adding a case of course adds a bezel from the case itself witch takes the shock instead of the glass itself.
See the Note 3 Drop test face down no case 100% naked above in the video @ 3:12

Did you have this in a case? If so, which one?
One could always get a warranty from Square Trade, for about $125. But then there's also a $75 deductible on all claims, so you end up having to cough up $200 total for any damages. Makes more sense to just do it yourself. On a side note I'm surprised Google doesn't offer any kind of extended warranty when purchasing this phone.
As a Z Flip owner i try to be carefull with my screen but it already have micro scatches.
Now i saw a video with some one in the US having an official applied screen protector from samsung.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRuB55Oo4ic&t
I contacted customer service here in the netherlands and they gave me some stupid answer..."There are no screen protectors for the Z flip, because the Z flip have already an protection layer"
So i wonder how is the rest of Europe deal with this and why don't we have it here yet and is it even planned to release here?
hello,
I have a screen protector but I bought it on Taobao for 8 EURO. Looks same as the one i saw in the video. I am in China and my Z Flip is from Korea.
regards
Samsung Hong Kong offers free first time screen protector for Z Flip, after that will be around 15Euros to replace
i used to put a screen protector on my flip...
the quality of zflip screen protectors on the market is bad since only some small manufacturers will make it(because installing a screen protector isn't "allowed" by Samsung")... So I recommend not using one, and if you installed a screen protector there is a chance to damage the screen layer when peeling it off.
I'm in the UK and just made use of the free official Samsung screen protector service. I just went to a Samsung Service Centre in London and left the phone with them for an hour. They applied the proper Samsung one for me, at no cost. Apparently they use some UV technique to apply it but whatever they did it was excellent. You can barely tell there is even one on there, the only clue is the cut out around the camera.
You can only get it done for free once but if you need it re-done it's only like £20.
I've decided to move from the 3 to the 4.
Anyone else tempted?
Already Pre-ordered. Awaiting.
Same here
I'm moving from the S22 if that counts. Phone is delivered waiting for me at home.
I moved from the 3 to the 4, the 4 arrived today.
I got £310 trade in value on a non-working galaxyS2 that I haven't used in like 10 years. Bargain.
The pre-order $900 USD trade-in was too good a deal to pass up. I'm getting the Flip4 and sending back my Flip3.
The Flip3 had a de-laminating screen protector, which Samsung replaced under warranty. I thought, heck, let's "re-start" the warranty by buying the Flip4 for $99 USD. Maybe this time the adhesive will last the life of the phone. ;-)
I moved from the 3 to the 4, the 4 arrived today
I did $900 trade-in. Too good to be true for the price. Not bad for the upgrade. Somehow network status always show "LTE+" in Flip 4. I had 5G in Flip 3. Speed wise, I don't feel any slowness for past 2 days. Just feel strange.
Yeah I wasn't planning on it, but I grabbed my Verizon version for $300, and then when they offered 900 credit PLUS 100 towards accessories (grabbed the buds) it was a no brainer. So now essentially $400 for a flip 4, plus cover, plus wireless ear buds.
Ordered mine the first day of pre-orders with an be expected arrive date of the 26th. As of now (afternoon if the 25th) still shows as being processed, so that doesn't bode well. Jealous of those who got them early!
I did.
Got the blue one. Samsung's offer was great. I paid around 300$ (used the trade-in and 30% discount on accessories), and got free wireless charger, 45W adapter, and Samsung Live Buds, which if I count the free gifts, i got it for almost free.
Flip 4 feels an enhanced version of the 3. Better battery life, solid, screen feels better, and the flip is smoother.
No regret.

Oh! I had the flip 3 for about 6 month before the delamination began. Sent it back to Samsung for oem screen protector replacement. The new protector began delaminating after about 3 months.
Please keep us up to date on the flip4.
I loved the 3 with the exception of the screen protector. Traded the 3 in for an s22!
Is it true that there will never be oem unlocking on this device? Was wanting to move over from iPhone. Is that not affecting anyone's decision to upgrade?

Let us know how that flip 4 screen protector holds up. That screen protector is what's holding me back from getting another flip.

My Flip 4 is still almost new, so there's nothing to report regarding the screen protector. As best I can tell it's identical to the Flip3. Which makes sense as I don't think they changed the screen hardware.
I have noticed one thing with the Flip 4's frame: It's flatter, making the folded phone feel a bit like a box. The Flip 3 has a rounded profile on the frame, and when folded it make the phone feel like "two stacked cookies."
So why might you care?
I find it harder to feel the power switch (aka finger print reader) on the Flip 4, because it's very nearly flat with the phone's frame. On the Flip 3, the finger print reader was easier to find because the "curved edge of the cookie" created a "dip" and made it easy for your fingertip to find it.
That is, with the Flip 3, if your finger hit a bit high or low on the print reader, your finger could sense this and swipe lower/higher to get the fingerprint to read perfectly. I find that if I miss placing my finger precisely on the Flip 4, I can't easily feel a "landmark," to know whether to move my finger up and try again, or down and try again.
Some people find in-screen fingerprint readers similarly annoying in that there's nothing to help you know that you've "hit the target." I dislike my Pixel 6A because I never find the reader without having to look at the phone's screen. Whereas on my Pixel 3A you couldn't miss the reader on the phone's rear.
PS: I should mention that since I rarely drop my phones I don't use a case for either version of the Flip. If you have a case then the case's cut-out makes this "Where's the reader?" discussion moot.
