According to the report from the Korea Herald, the Samsung galaxy gear 2 v2 may have independent communicating function. It is different from the first-generation Galaxy gear, which must be based on connecting to the Samsung cell phone to communicate. But Galaxy gear 2 v2 may be built in an independent SIM slot tray, and can support the 3G. It is absolutely a nice news for Samsung fans.
In addition, it will be realeased at Korea first. It seeems only can connect to the SK communication net. The details are in a guess, if the Samsung galaxy gear 2 worth our expecting?

Did you hear about Qualcomm Technologies’ (QTI) launch of QFE1100, the first ever Envelope Tracking (ET) chipset for a 4G mobile device? It’s big news for the mobile Industry and if you want, you could check out the QFE1100 by tearing apart your brand new *Samsung GALAXY Note 3. Okay, I could save your device and help you learn more about the QFE1100—all you have to do is read on.

SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT REASON TO SIGN UP FOR T-MOBILE'S JUMP PLAN!
oh wait, I did.
If the Gear S is not compatible with the Note PRO 12.2 LTE, which ones do?
I've heard that the Gear 2 works. Can't say for certain, though.
The main issue is that the Gear S's Gear Manager requires a Phone UI. It doesn't even work on the 7" tablets.
Personally I'm still waiting for Google's smartwatch. All this fitness nonsense... I want a true smartwatch, made for nerds. Not a glorified fitness band.
The Pebble works fine, compatible with both Android and iPhone and has an excellent price as well!

Hello there,
Does anyone here have experience with Gear S2 and Note2 ( N7100 ) .
Does the Gear S2 fully work with the Note2 ?
Greetings Bl4ckdevil
I have the Gear S2 normally connected to my own Note3, but as I had a Note2 still lying around, I tested it for you and it connects nicely. Did not test full features.
My daughter rocks my Note 2 with her own silver S2 3G and has no issues at all (other than issues we all suffer - always on not really "always")

Just received notice of an update for the Gear S App for my Gear.
Will have to test it out once I get the chance.

I think they're two different things. Samsung Pay (for phones) was updated today and in the release notes it says it supports mobile payments. Two Samsung Gear apps got updates (compass and ?) but they aren't related to Pay.
So at some point in the near future I'd imagine Samsung Pay for Gear will appear in the Gear app store. There's nothing currently on the Gear S2 (at least my 3G version) to update relating to Samsung Pay so it'll have to be an app store download. Unless the new Wi-Fi Gear S2 update for the U.S. has Samsung Pay baked in.
I had hoped that today's USA S2 Wifi update was going to include the NFC tap-to-pay functionality.

Samsung pay for gear s2 updated today
I just downloaded 2 different Samsung Pay USA apps for the gear S2, which noted the apps were pre-installed . Although after searching the watch, gear app, and gear app store there does not seem to be any such app still. I'm in Louisiana and have the standard sport (Bluetooth only) version.
Hi, i've a problem.
I bought a samsung galaxy a3 2016 and a samsung gear s2, they sold as compatible. Instead , in the italian samsung's site aren't compatible, in .com are compatible.
Is there a way to make it compatible?
What can I install ?
Please help me!!!!!!
I threw a lot of money :crying:
Same problem here. Samsung Gear App says the phone is not compatible. Is there any way to work this around?
I'm using A3 2016 and bought the Gear S2 Classic yesterday. There is no issue in pairing and setting up my Gear with my Phone.
