I have my captivate running 2.3.3 mosaic III ROM the battery life is excellent with a little help from SETCPU but when it fully charges the phones says the battery is full but when i unplug it the battery percentage display says it is at 98% did a battery stats wipe. Just wondering do i need to calibrate my battery also to fix the tiny little problem. by the way i fail to mention running Purple-licious ginger style theme. This is the only issue I'm having
not every battery has the same capacity, 2 oem batteries either.
there is a 2% difference between your batteries.
if you calibrate to the lower battery, the other will show 100% when you put it in, though in comparrison it would actually be 102% ....
its not worth worrying about.
i have 4 batteries i play with... 2 oem and 2 extended... now that confuses the phone!
this is a normal behavior by samsung.
Fully discharging and recharging your battery over the course of a few days should calibrate it to your liking, however Samsung does have a little feature to prevent damage to the battery by overcharging. This is normal and should be of no worry to you as long as you are getting decent battery life.
You can also try charging to full, removing cable and shutting down phone, then charging while off until the battery says 100%. Repeat three times and wipe battery stats.
Hope this helps.
Just this week my phones battery has lost its mind. I use a my touch 4g with the standard battery and had a usual battery life of 12 hours or more easily. Now from this Tuesday I've had a battery life of 4 hours from 100% to 0%. I have to charge the battery 3 times a day. Most of the battery is used when idle for some reason and I've looked at what uses the most battery in spare parts but the app will constantly crash.
I am using MIUI 2.2.10 with Faux kernel, and have seen a severe battery drain issue. Before when i was on stock, i had the issue where Cell Standby would drain most of the battery. When i switched to MIUI, somehow that problem dissapeared. But now, i have been using the phone for 6 hours, most of it just texting, and when I started I was fully charged. Now I am at 29%. I checked the Battery Stats and it said Display was taking up 73% of this battery drain. I have no idea what could possibly be causing this because i had the brightness on low, and yet i played music for 30 minutes and that didn't even show up on the list of things draining the battery. Could someone explain this to me?
First off how low is low?
It may not show music, it isn't that draining. Display is a big one, it will eat the heck out of your battery. Either start carrying your cable with you everywhere, or get the 3500 MAh battery.

I had it on low as in the very lowest, and how much money is the 3500 mah battery?

Here is a link to a thread about the 3500mAh Battery.
I personally think it looks really bulky and ugly.
There are other alternatives like extended bateries that fit the original phone backcover. I would check the Accessories section for more info.
Here is the link to the "better" alternative in my opinion.

.I purchased a 3500 mah battery and am loving it. I the only problem I'm having is that when. I turn off my phone, and the battery still drains... It lost 70 percent in 8 hours while it was fully powered off.... I don't know why

Faulty battery.
The % in the Battery Stats is not how much battery is used. The screen at 73% means it was on 73% of the 6 hours which is 4.38 hours of the 6. If you add all the numbers in Battery stats it will be over 100.

but the stock battery had the same problem.
hi
I wanted to ask did anyone notice the same problem on their nexus 5
after i fully charged my battery, i unplug and left the screen off and put it aside. The battery drained from 100% to 90% in just like 30 minutes. But then the battery drained so much slower (like only 5% for the whole 11pm to 7am) after the battery level was below 90%
Did anyone had the same problems?
did i need to change my battery

There is a stickied dedicated battery life help thread—post there instead: [Battery Life Help] Troubleshoot battery issues here!
I bought a new battery for my oneplus one from vifocal.com and I think its original battery. The battery seems to be very poor. I use my phone for 1,5 hours from which the screen is on for about 1 hour and the battery has drained down to 50%. Yesterday as my phone went to zero I turned it on in recovery mode to keep the screen on as long as possible to really kill the battery and the screen stayed on for at least 2 hours. How is that possible if the battery indicator shows already 0%. Anyways I believe the battery drops down to 0% even really there is a lot of juice in the battery. Is there anyway to calibrate the battery so it would show the correct percentage and is there anyway to tell how big is the battery really? whether I got a fake one or not. thanks

I've had an opposite issue few times - phone was shutting down while it was show that it still had battery (20% was the worst case). I fixed it by discrharging fully, then letting the phone charge all trough the night. this was the recommendation that I found on OPO forums from someone from their team.
