My Defy+ phone seems to be stuck in the TI OMAP "USB BOOT Mode". I.e. plugging in the usb cable to a linux box I see the following system log when pressing the power button on the Defy+:
17:18:05 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 22
17:18:05 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: not running at top speed; connect to a high speed hub
17:18:05 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: New USB device found, idVendor=0451, idProduct=d00e
17:18:05 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: New USB device strings: Mfr=33, Product=37, SerialNumber=0
17:18:05 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: Product: OMAP3630
17:18:05 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: Manufacturer: Texas Instruments
17:18:08 els-d93336 kernel: usb 3-2.2: USB disconnect, address 22
The defy+ enumerates as a TI OMAP device and disconnects automatically about 3 seconds later.
I believe this means the actual defy+ bootloader does not even get started so I have no chance of flashing a new SBF image using the liux
Obviously, I am anable sbf_flash tool or the RSDLite tool under windows as the device is not recognized a a valid device.
Any ideas on how to get the defy+ unstuck and get the bootloader to load?
Thanks.
Actually i don't want to make this new thread but since i'm new here and can't do a reply to the original thread so i make this. I just want to make a confirmation for Bin4ry who owned this awesome thread "Root MANY ANDROID!" that his tool work on my n7100 clone phone. And i want to make some recap for i have done.
my phone spec is:
processor: Mtk6515
RAM: 512 MB
Android version: Android 4.1.2
my computer spec is:
Brand: Asus ee-pc 1215B
Processor: AMD C-60
OS: Windows 7 32 bit
what i have done is:
1- enabling usb debugging mode and unknown sources function (i'm not installing any adb drivers or something sound like that since the first time)
2- i plug in to my laptop, and my device recognized as "sanstar" but strangely it's reacognized with a name "My HTC" on device manager
3- Run cmd and go to the folder where i put the tools.
4- Type runme.bat and choose "1" but somehow it gaves me some error
5- So i watched Bin4ry video for one more time :highfive:
6- And then, i back to step 3 and type "stuff\adb devices" and wait...... not for long it tells me that my device already connected... YAY :fingers-crossed:
7- I did step 4 again...wait for the process and see if restore function already pop up on my android phone and yep, it's showing something ahehehe
8- Click "restore my data" button....my phone restart after that and tadaaa....there's "superuser" showing up :victory:
So thank you so much, Bin4ry
Hello,
I also have the same phone but I had no luck with this method. After searching for a long time, I found SRSRoot which allowed me to Root my phone. It was a tough fight but I now have a rooted Note II clone...

do have any custom rom for this phone.?
Hello every one i have an issue here, i got a chinese device a samsung galaxy s(it says its an S4 but i think it is an S3)its a 1Ghz dual core processor if im not wrong(firmware use to say MT6575_S01)
it had loaded apparently a wrong rom, the device wasnt loading OS and restore wasnt working, i tryed to flash a new rom with Android Flash Tools, and the device got bricked, i am able to connected to the computer, the device does not turn on, does not charge, but the PC is able to detected as a MTK USB Port Com.
i found that trying to load different rom with the same tool was not possible cause it gives me an error just before start downloading the info(this is because the device lost connection on the device manager) so it doesnt charge anything.
as i already mention i am able to install drivers, but all of them goes like a Com Port, i used USBDeview and i am able to see the old MTK65xx usb drivers but the direction for that port its not valid(at least it does not recognize the device as a USB directly)
i was wondering if any one can help me with this, i need to know if there is any way to prevent windows from disconecting this device or if there is any way to make the device go on away, if i can do that i am sure i can load the image to it.
BTW i tryed a few roms and some of them tell me they cant complete the process cause not enough space, cause it looks like they are for another device.
my system and device specs (device as far as i can get)
device :
CPU MTK6575
Model: M-9162 cnc moviles (could not find any website related to them)
as far as i know the processor is a 1.2 Ghz dual core
512 RAM
dual SIM
8 MP cam (back)
as far as i know it could be 2MP or 1.3 MP on front
Front camera and sensors are located on the left side(not on the rigth side like most of galaxy S· and S$ even clones)
use battery
model : 303
li-ion 2200mAh(it says samsung)
PC SPECS :
Windows 7 64 bits OS
dual core 2.4Ghx processor
4G on ram.
Please help me with this and i will love you all forever
PD : i belive that the model is a replica of I9200 but not sure .
THANKS.
mk6575 bricked device
as an update i manage it to flash a nand rom apparently for an s3 mt6575 NAND memory, but i am not sure if it is the right one, cause memory on smarth phone android dlashing tool, shows flashing 2g of ram and this is my memory test results :
=============== Memory Detection Report ===============
Internal RAM:
Size = 0x00020000 (128KB)
External RAM:
Type = DRAM
Size = 0x10000000 (256MB/2048Mb)
NAND Flash:
Device ID = "[HYNIX] H8BCS0UN0MCR" (100)
Size = 0x20000000 (512MB/4096Mb)
i went to complete succesfull flashing but only ligths up the menu and back touch keys
apparently goes on but the display remains black
any help please c:

I can still use the USB I think. I see Qualcomm HS-USB Loader 9008 (COM9) in the device manager whenever I would plug in the USB and it was manually updated after I selected x64 folder from the windows_drivers_QHSUSB_DLOAD folder(windows would say it was up to date when selecting x64 folder). I tried different ports but the Port otion never shows up for them in the device manager. I'm also not using USB 3.0.
I believe I followed every other instruction as far as I know from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-ultra/general/droid-mini-maxx-ultra-root-pogress-100-t3071609 I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out.

Besides manually update the driver.
First, you have to disable the mandatory use of signed drivers in Windows.
Why? The driver you are trying to install (or update) is not signed and windows by default only allows the use of signed drivers.
Search a tutorial on "how to install an unsigned driver Windows 7"
I send you some, but I am the translator of google lol ..
I had a similar problem for the driver and the solution I gave you, solved my problem.
The best of luck, a big hug!
I managed to fix my problem yeasterday following br0adband advice in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62651329&postcount=1159 sorry I forgot to close my thread(if I can figure out how). Thanks for that helpfull tip though, I'll keep that in mind for later driver issues.
