I registered account for this forum with my Google apps email address but never received any email...so I activated by account by submitting request manually...
later I subscribed threads but still, not received any email for the threads update...

For your subscribed threads do you have Notifications checked with the option to receive email Notifications....
Go into your control panel you will see to the left Subscribe threads>>list subscriptions>>> You will see the listing and what type of notification you have for your threads you have subscribed to....
I have 2 questions both facebok related for the facebook app on Samsung galaxy s2. Firstly, I would like to change my email address, when I tried on account settings and then email no 'change email' came up, so I just wondered how I could do so. Secondly, I've recieved notifcations about a friend wanting to tag my photos, how can I accept the requests? I would be very grateful if someone could help me soon. Thank you

Change Email Add? what do you mean the one your using for facebook or the one that you used to register? about the tagged photos just go to your timeline and you'll see a activity log if you're on a private mode. im confuse on your email thing. hope i help!
Hi...how can I prevent this forum from sending me email? Every time someone quotes one of my posts, gmail receives an email. I have turned off all email notifications in the settings for this website. If I set gmail to not notify me then I receive NO notifications on my phone that my gmail inbox has received an email...obviously I don't want that...since friends email me etc. I thought it might be a Chrome thing...but I have set everything there to never notify me of anything.
The only way I can stop this forum from emailing me when someone quotes my post is to disable notifications in gmail...since I can't handpick websites I don't want to receive email from...that just cancels ALL notifications as I said before.
By the way, I am NOT 'subscribing' to any threads either...so that's not the problem.
So what am I doing wrong?

Have you tried this:
1 - Click on Settings on the top right, next to your username.
2 - From the options on the left, choose the last one titled "Settings" under "Mention System"
3 - Check the last option, titled "Quote Emails" which has the description "Check this box if you do not wish to receive an email whenever you are quoted in a post."
4 - Save changes
Should work. Else, use filters in gmail to auto delete such emails...

Got a shiny new S3 gear connected to my Samsung S6 Edge. The emails are confusing me a little and I have a couple of querstions.
I have more than one account on Gmail. I believe there isnt a Gmail app but the notifications do come through. Now, here is the question. How do I read my emails from the Stock email app? I can see them, but I cant open and read the content. I can only see the header and subject. Same applies to Whatsapp. Is there an app planned?
Also, will i receive notifications from Slack?

If I am not mistaken, what you are seeing is the notification that you received the email. If you tap the screen, you should go to the email app on the watch and be able to read and respond to the email if necessary.

You have to use the samsung mail app on your phone.

I would like to ask on one problem with my Galaxy S8+. The synchronization of my emails is not working (neither Gmail or Email exchange (i use Nine app)). Notification will not come with locked or unlocked screen. Most of the time is the best to manually actualise my emails. Can you help me with this issue and recommend any possibility of synchronization of email even on locked screen? Thanks a lot. Tibor
