EmotionSoiD app - how do you load the BIOS file??? - General Topics

I download this app from a site called EmotionSoiD which is apparently a port of PCSX2 to Android. I install the program and run it and everything fine but its a black screen that says it needs to load the BIOs but I don't know how to do that?
Where do I put the BIOS in, what folder? Am I suppose to have the file in a specific folder like EmotionSoiD/BIOS/ etc.?
Can any one help? thanks

Why I can't use FPSE?!

I download FPSE and Copy it on my Memory CARD, but when I select the exe file to run it, the FPSE return to About window,
Please help me
That's because you need to get the PS BIOS (read their read-me page).
I don't have a link but you can google for it.
Then you copy it to the BIOS directory under the FPSE main directory and from the settings menu go to 'select BIOS'.
i got the bios and have selected it and tried loading many different iso's that worked on my playstation, but it still goes to about screen after I try to load an iso.

How do you rip your ISOs? Some ISOs may not work. Some will work on my PDA but all will work on my PSP.

Can someone please post this windows file, so I dont have to reflash...

In my infinite wisdom, Deleted a file from the windows folder which I believe I need. Its the welcomehead EXE... At first thought it was a program I installed to replace the welcomehead.96.png but it seems like this is the executable that runs when the system boots up considering my phone no longer shows the 3rd splash screen.
Can someone PLEAAAAASE post this file so I dont have to reflash, couldnt find any way to locate the file anywhere.
Thanks.
I do not see a welcomehead.exe in /windows/ however, I do have a welcome.exe
Hmmm... maybe I was right when I thought it was the image replacer... since the phone seems to work fine, I assume thats what it was... maybe I somehow turned off the windows splash screen on startup, I didnt realize that was possible though....
Edit: Is there a way to get the windows splash to show back up?

How to delete files from StartUp folder?

Hi,
I accidentally put actual file instead of lnk into StartUp folder on WM 6.1. Now I can not delete the file becouse it's already launched and it's not even showing in list of running programs. How do I get rid of it in StartUp folder?
Thanks,
G
it might be running in the background. try using a task manager kinda program to see running processes (e.g. wktask) and you should be able to kill it and then delete it
or rename it from somethingsomething.exe to somethingsomething.exe.bak
and softreset
Or you can usually cut the link or file in startup and then paste it somewhere else. Reset, then you can delete it.
not if it's not a shortcut but he places the exe file itself in startup in this case it will be locked and cant be cut
Can you rename the file to something not ".exe" and then reset the phone? Would it work? I've read somewhere around here someone suggesting that. After soft reset, in theory, you should be able to delete the file.

question: how to compile files?

Here's the scenario, before i used to use the blank kitchen available here in XDA for Titan, Touch, Diamond and Touch Pro, extract and compile it again with out any problems. How i do it is just by changing the txt file inside the tools folder and can make it work for different phones such as mentioned above. Now i tried using this to the snap i get an error after running the BuiltOS.exe i get an error of "External component has thrown an exception" am i doing something wrong or i am missing some tools? So i tried to continue using builtIt.bat the the actual RUU file was reduced. If you flash it to the actual phone, the phone is stuck at the start up.
I need your help guys thanks

[Q] I'm new to this world. How do I install apps from here?

Hi. I hope I'm posting this in the right section, but how would I install apps on my T-Mo MyTouch 3G Slide, that are offered on this or any other forum? Do I download them to my PC and first start the installation there, somehow? Or how would I do it??
I'm very new to this whole Android world. I just bought my phone.
Thanx for the help!!
Applications in this forum usually comes in the form of .apk's. An apk is an installer file for Android and must be run from the phone.
So you have two options when you find programs here on this forum:
1. You download the file on your PC, connect the phone to your PC and mount the SD-card, copy the file over and run it from your phone
2. Browse to the forums via your phone and download them directly and run them
It can be done via dropbox, chrome2phone, email etc as well if you want to

The file that I download, copy in to any folder (Programs ect...) on to your SD card and run the file from the phone, correct? What is the format of that file needs to be? It won't be an *.exe right? What format do I make sure the correct file is? Is there any other ways? Just asking
Thank You!!
You can put it anywhere on the SD-card, just be sure you have some sort of file manager from the market and remember where you put it After that you just run it and it should install (if you get several options when you run the file, the correct one to run it with is "Package Installer").
The files will be in the format programname.apk
