It depends what were you doing at the moment phone switched of.
Which applications were you running?
Were you doing some phone and/or app software update at that time, recording video, copying files...?
One thing you can try is to take out the SD card and try to boot the phone without it.

[Q] HTC 7 Pro faulty - memory leak?

My HTC 7 Pro seems to have a hardware fault or memory leak.
In Nodo after a few hours it stops opening certain applications with either
a) Black screen and "loading..." message for ~10 seconds before returning to the home screen, or
b) All tiles on the screen wobbling /shimmering for 2-3 seconds on tapping an application then nothing.
Some apps still work but it gets progressively worse until nothing will run. Applications affected vary each time.
Tried flashing Mango RTM but it was much worse - it all seems to work initially, then some applications won't load as above, but the biggest difference with Mango is that browser will lock up after viewing half a dozen pages and the whole phone will slow down to a crawl.
Switching the phone off and on, or if it has locked up, pulling the battery, will fix it for a while.
I suspect there may be a RAM issue so need to find a quick and reproducable way of proving this before I send it off for repair. Is there any hardware test routine or app available on the HTC 7 Pro?

Are you running with the stock memory card inside, or have you manually upgraded that at some point?

G2 Shutting off?

I recently changed the battery in my LG G2 d800. Followed specific guidelines, made sure all connections were replaced properly etc. Upon using the phone with the new battery I realize that everytime I attempt to take a picture using the phone's flash, the light flashes and the phone shuts off in a way that resembles the battery being disconnected. It's basically same sometimes when I try making calls, the phone I would hear a ring once, then the phone shuts off. I tried flashing some other ROM to see if it was a software issue but the problem still persists. Is there anyone with any knowledge on how to solve this problem?

Bug crash/freeze screen nexus 5x :'(

Hello, first of all, sorry if I'm wrong section or if my English sucks but is my first discussion on xda.
I have a big problem with my 5x nexus since yesterday morning when i turn on the screen there are some lines that prevent me from using the phone, i'll explain it better, the screen is locked, but the cellphone seems to work because i feel the vibration of the unlock And even the sound, the phone is normally detected by the PC, both in mass memory and in fastboot and adb. The only way I have to use it is to turn off and turn on the screen several times (about 50 or more), and every now and then the screen returns normal, and until the shutter closes the cellphone works perfectly. I thought it was an old rom problem since i had the nexus in April, then yesterday i completely deleted it (system, recovery, cache etc.) i even put everything back to root without root and then i put the google pixel rom, and it seemed It works, but this is the same again this morning. The strange thing that made me worried is that it happens the same even when I go into recovery, fastboot or even while the cellphone starts. To change the rom or do else i used the nexus root toolkit, and there is also the function that makes the screen on screen and seeing the photo on your computer comes out of the normal unlock screen ... I do not know more than do. (I forgot while this screen is present the touch does not work). I could not upload a photo here, but I found a similar image on the internet (I can not put it because I'm a new user )

Camera app shutdown my phone!

When I make several photos, the phone turn off and does not start up until it is plugged into a charger again (the battery percentage is same, not 0%). But when I use another application like Open Camera, this problem does not happen and the phone works pretty well. Тhis problem frustrates me because one of the advantages of the phone is the good camera! Some solution?
My phone version is FRD-L09

Same issue but battery goes to zero. Photo is not taken
I am on official b394 firmware.
Sometimes even with over 40% battery the phone closes the camera app after taking photo (photo is not saved) and battery shows 0% and phone will shut down in 30 seconds. If I put the charger in the battery goes back to around 20% immediately. First I thought the battery is weaker and needs replacing but if it happens only in camera app and all other (over 140 apps installed no issues? It's very annoying.
I blame a bug in newest firmware. They didn't state any new features for camera app and yet there is motion icon which makes photos like iPhone's "live photo". So certainly they played around camera app in this firmware.
Plus, I verified copying/moving problems from internal storage to SD card which happens sometimes (if bulk moving even under gallery app) gives "SD card damaged" error during the move and the data (photos) will not be copied/moved only deleted from SD card (no crc check on destination folder) so in the end Photos are gone. Workaround: Moving only 200 photos/videos at a time. This is the case with honor 7, honor 8 and two completely different SD cards (size, brand), though same user, must admit!
Starting to lose trust in Honor brand altogether
Can anyone share the solution for this issue? Been having it since the first updates for this year. Always install the latest official update, but the problem is still there. This a FRD-L04 on EMUI 5.0.1, official Nougat 7.0.
BTW, thinking that the battery could have expired, I changed it to a new OEM model. Problem didn't go away, though.
any word what can be done to address the issue?

Question Poco X3 pro frequent crash after MIUI 14 update

Hello,
recently after decided to update to MIUI 14, my Poco X3 Pro crashing when on the call or video call, but weirdly enough the phone doesn't even crash when gaming or doing any multitasking it works just as it used to be, its been 4 times:
- at first it was only the screen turned off but the rest like sound when call, microphone, and touchscreen are working but the display stays off, the display turn on it again by itself after a few minutes this happens 3 times until now
- the last one was hard brick, the device turn to white with a thin horizontal line, restarted by itself and then it wont turn on at all, even the charging wont work, but i can boot to fastboot, and then try to boot it to miui via fastboot and now it turn on and work as it suppose to be (not yet trying to make call since i dont want it to crash again)
Now i dont know does this could be caused by neither software or hardware, do you guys have any idea?
Thanks!
