I get my ATT Skyrocket from a friend last year.Phone is unlocked in Germany.I am facing a problems with signal after i install CyanogenMod 10.2,he is losing from time to time, people who calling me get message that i am unvailable, and i dont get every SMS message.I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a wonder is there any solutions for my problem.I am reading that can be phones radio/modem problem.Do i need to change phones baseband or radio/modem,does it supports CM 10.2 KitKat,is that causing my problems...Sorry on my bad english.Grateful.
Skyrocket has the following frequency bands:
2G NetworkGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G NetworkHSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
4G NetworkLTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100
After some searches I found 900/1800 MHz bands work for Bosnia so you're out of luck as far as your 3G or LTE.
You should lock the phone on 2G network and that should give you solid/uninterrupted signal.
Go to settings -> mobile networks -> Network operators
It will scan for a while keep the screen on until it finishes scanning the local networks. Choose your carrier from the list. Once it is accepted go back to Network Modes and change it to GSM.
Good luck

I am travelling to Europe soon and can't really find out if the Sensation will fully work there. I am getting it SIM unlocked through TMOUS, but I am unsure about the actual bands it supports. I know it will work for standard GSM calling since where I am going 900 MHz is standard, but what about data? Will I at least be able to get 3G? Searched hi and low and couldn't find an answer to this anywhere. Thanks.

same boat
I'm in the same boat here. I leave for Ireland in the beginning of September, and hope to bring my T-Mobile Sensation (factory unlocked also). If anyone has any insight to this it would be greatly appreciated. 3G is a must now a days.
Go to gsmarena and look for the bands of the HTC Sensation and compare it with the Tmobile Sen 4g
just got back from spain/ibiza after a two week vacation:
i had a sim that ONLY did phone/sms and a friend had a sim that did data...but he kept complaining about the speed, so i'm assuming the speeds are edge-like. again, this was in ibiza and our choice of sims was limited...
HTH
gsmarena for htc sensations
that was a good idea hytl, looks like the tmobile version has two more frequencies on the HSDPA but everything else is the same. So our phones should work fine with 3G.
US Version
General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100
HSDPA 850 / 1900 - For Bell (Canada)
European Version
General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100
Anyone know why the T-Mobile version doesn't pick up AT&T's 3G?(here in America) from what I've read online AT&T use's 850 and 1900, and gsmarena says it the T-Mobile Sensation can pick up those frequencies, but I dont get any 3G. actually I dont even get edge, I can just make phone calls and text, no data whats so ever on AT&T's network. dont know if i should start a new thread, but its confusing the hell out of me. Could it be a software lock? its not rooted or anything.
Infuse 4G never sold in Malaysia and Thailand officially...
Works well in Malaysia but 3G is not working in Thailand.
Anybody knows the solution ?
Should flash specific Modem ???
Thanks, guys...
1. What 3G bands are present there on the network you are on?
2. Are any of those bands present in Infuse?
Even within US, T-Mobile SIM in Infuse won't give 3G 'cos of bands incompatibility.

Will check and report here again,
Thanks, Dud...
Hello pal,
Infuse only support 3G - HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 but Thailand Providers (AIS, DTAC .. and others, I am not sure..) only support 3G / HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100..
So I think no matter what Modem you flash on Infuse, cannot use 3G in Thailand.., I think.
I also found out something weird is,
Almost every Samsung phones support HSDPA 850 /900 / 1900 / 2100 EXCEPT INFUSE 4G.
So this is because of bands incompatibility as diablo009 said...
Thailand Providers Truemove and DTAC support 3G band 850 MHz
( 3G UMTS/WCDMA , 3.75G HSPA(hsdpa)/HSPA+ )
Modem UCKL2 works fine.
Hi all
I just bought new unlocked Samsung Galaxy S 4G (SGH-T959V) on the internet and before to talking to possible providers I got confused about its 3G bands. I've got two specs with different bands:
one says it has 1700/1900/2100 (e.g. see pdadb.net)
another says it has only 1700/2100.
How do I check which 3G bands my phone really has? Is there any way to check it using the phone itself? Like test software or something?
Thank you
From http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_4g-3719.php
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 1700 / 2100
Perhaps that is some of the confusion about bands; 1900 is also a GSM band.
T-Mobile, for better or worse, uses the AWS bands, which results in its handsets having a different set of requirements than other carriers.
I've used an AT&T SIM in my SGS4g and was able to get 3G, so I'm fairly positive the phone also has the 1900 HSPA band.
Wikipedia says T-Mobile has 1900 in both GSM and 3G
I dont know what bands they use but I use simple mobile unlimited 3g for $40 or unlimited 4g for $60....$20 sim with free activation. SimpleMobile uses tmobile network

i just unlocked this phone and put it on t- mobile getting edge speeds and i am new to the rooting/unlocking/flashing things to my phone does anyone have a download link for a different radio that would get 4g speeds and would be able to help me flash them to my phone
Check your app settings.

i have checked all the settings from what i can find out it has to do with the phone being at&t radio and the radio not working on t-mobile 4g or even 3g for that matter
I tought it was the hardware in the phone that decides that this phone support the LTE (4G) frequencies :
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100
but if this chan be shanged to : (4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1800 / 2600 )
By changing The ( flashing ) new radio..
Then Im interested
Pleas say something you out there that know this stuff
the skyrocket does support 4g lte that was the main feature over the galaxy s 2 the biggest thing is when you unlock this phone the radio program isnt set to read a different companies radio from what i have read and can understand so i was trying to flash a radio that would support t mobiles 4g connectivity

According to HTC.com, this phone has the 1800 MHz LTE band (LTE band 3).
I am currently in Australia, using a Telstra LTE SIM, and I can't pick up LTE on my phone.
I tested this SIM in another phone and it gets LTE, so the problem isn't the lack of reception in my area or the SIM.
I get 3G and H data but no LTE.
I know Telstra uses 1800 MHz for LTE.
I tried changing from Global to GSM mode and all the other modes as well as all the options available in the phoneinfo app.
It seems like this device has the 1800 MHz LTE band blocked, what can be done about this?
Thanks!
