User's Guide for dummies - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

USER'S GUIDE FOR DUMMIES AND NOT ONLY...
Here you can find how you can install, tune and use the custom ROM and KERNEL. And some info about some hide out question...:highfive:
Links to apps, rom, CWM added!
1. Format SD card class 10 or higher (U1) (because of quick access, higher number means quicker SD CARD) in your PC or MAC at 2 or 3 partitions with this program:Partition Manager
Here exactly HOW-TO: FAT 32 and EXT4 partition.
As you can see, we will prepare SD CARD for future using with program LINK2SD. Here is to why and where for: LINK2SD
2. When your SD CARD will be ready, copy any custom rom you wish. Aha, almost forgot it. We assuming that our device is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8000) but this guide should work on any type of Android Device.
3. After copying custom rom on the preformated SD CARD, copy the recovery. The best one is:HighOnAndroid (CWM)
4. O.K. Now is time to flash recovery and then restart device.
5. Now we flash ROM (almost every custom ROM has been rooted) Wipe cache, System, Dalvik Cache and in CWM choose option Instal ZIP from SD CARD (where we have our ROM) in my case that was Android Revolution HD 11.2 Lin is here
6. Reboot system. Instal apps whatever you want LINK2SD mainly.
7. Now is time to copy Boeffla Kernel to your ext. SD CARD.
8. Reboot device to CWM, choose Install from SD CARD, install Boeffla Kernel, reboot device.
9. Download apk called Boeffla Config v2 and use it for setting your Boeffla Kernel.
10. My Boeffla settings: Power Extreme, MDNIE 1, Scenario 1. Boeffla Sound -Miscellaneous: Speaker tuning ON, Privacy mode ON
(after then when you connect your earphones to Device, internal speaker will turn OFF, it's bug in Samsung's ROM, because even you connect earphones speakers still plays.Miscellaneous tab = Modules enabled which one you want.
And then reboot, use your "pet" (device) as much as you can! Try Antutu, try stability test etc. etc.
I hope that you try this guide and your "pet" will so happy as I was, I'm and I will
And If you will back to LINK2SD you will see that your partitions is format as well as you want!
All apps will be install to your SD CARD, to EXT4 exactly said. So your internal NAND and memory will be free and clean.
Only System and Data will you got onto your internal memory. And one more thing: :angel:If you don't made backup, please, make backup your EFS folder !!!! Your EFS folder is most important folder in your device.
Everything you can repair, but when you delete or anything else damage your EFS folder you can realy physicaly damage your device.
See this: EFS Issues.
In this folder you have all important information like a IMEI, WIFI address, your Carrier and so on...
Without this will be your device very expensive coffee pad only!:crying:
I've been in this hell-like situation and without Linux and Android knowledge I should be without my "pet"...
Bye for now and again thanks to Andi for Boeffla Kernel and others developer:
(Zedomax for CWM Recovery, Mike1986. for his Android Revolution ROM, Bulent Akpinar for LINK2SD, Kalagas for great themes)

P.S. If you got some question about any from this guide, ask me. Everything has been 1000x tried and said. But here you got 10 in 1

[Q] Samsung GS+ - 1st rom install

Hi guys, first post from me. I wish i could post this in the proper thread, but since i am new i am not allowed, so excuse me for the inconvenience.
I want to use custom roms to enhance my phone, i've been reading up in this forum and some video's on youtube. I've already rooted my phone before, so that part is out of the way.
Now here is my phone setup:
- Samsung Galaxy S Plus
fw= 2.3.5
baseband= I9001BOKP1
kernel= [email protected]#1
build= GINGERBREAD.BOK4
carrier= T-Mobile
- External SD Card, 486 MB
I just used the SD Card from my old Samsung phone (G-600)
The thing is, i have used Apps2SD to set apps to my SD card (the external one)
1.A: So if i am going to backup will that also be stored back to my SD after i format it?
1.B: Or is external SD card formatting not required for a fresh clean install?
The ROM i want to use is Cranium RC9
As i understand this ROM comes with a kernel as well, so..
2: should i do anything kernel related? (since it's my first time to install a ROM and all)
And finally..
3: What is the correct method for a 1st time/clean ROM installation?
If i look at the 1st post of the Cranium ROM thread, then i see install methods if you already have RC8. And the other method is for installing RC4. Please don't tell me i have to go through all the RC's to get to RC9 o_0
Thanks for at least reading this and hopefully some one can help me further on this
1.A When you backup, choose internal SD since backup has about 1GB of size if you have lots of apps. Go to feamod recovery 1.4, backup and restore then backup to internal sd card. When you finish ROM flashing restore your apps only in advanced restore.
1.B I don't think you have to format external sd, anyway you can back it up too.
2. I don't think so. The rom comes with a kernel..
3. For fresh ROM installation, Format system, data, and cache. You can also wipe dalvik cache. Then flash using ODIN or CWM, depending on the file. Reboot system and you can restore data only after going to cwm again.
You can also read fabsau's starter guide in our forum(i9001)..
In my opinion, try broodROM, comes with skyhigh kernel, ICS theme, beats audio, smoother scrolling and more..
If this helped press THANKS
Sent from my S+
Thanks this was helpful to me

[SOLVED] Forced Close of core (or all) apps, Internal SD removed unexpectedly...

Hi All,
I got errors mentioned in the title and after few searches, found that there are few Galaxy SL owners who had got into this issue.
Currently Known Root Cause:
A hardware issue possibly due to a board issue or loose attachment of internal SD card to the motherboard (Grrrrrrr SAMSUNG!)
Symptoms:
- Suddenly core applications like phone/messaging start force closing (sometimes all open apps). Only a reboot will solve the issue.
- Sudden reboot of the phone after few hours of running (or even sleeping)
- Sometimes the restart itself hanging with a yellow message "Unknown Upload Mode"
- Message in status bar "Internal SD card has been removed unexpectedly" or "Internal SD card not accessible" or something like "Damaged SD card"
Known Solution:
1. Replacement of board from Samsung Service Center (Good for you if you are within the warranty period)
2. Do some hardware hack to remove the internal SD completely (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1651619)
I got this issue just after I finished my warranty period, and hence, I was trying to find if I can do something about this issue by my own. What I wanted was to actually swap my internal SD storage with a proper external SD storage. This is not same as the popular "swapping the internal and external SD card" topic, but that and something more as well!! This will solve the issue of force closes and sudden reboots (may still not solve issue of reboot getting stuck, but I assume phone will not need frequent reboot after solving first 2 issues!)
Galaxy SL has 3 partitions created in the card:
1. ext3 partition for data
2. another small FAT partition - (for what? not sure)
3. Third FAT partition which acts as the normal internal SD card (which is accessible when working as USB mass storage)
Intention here is to move all the partitions to the external SD. Looking at the mount points and vold.fstab, I could not find where the 2nd partition in the above list is mounted/used (If anyone knows, please let me know). So I decided to move atleast the ext3 (data) and fat (/sdcard) to the external SD.
Following are the steps I followed for doing the same:
WARNING!!!
1. Copy these at your own risk. I am not responsible if you brick your phone or lose your data/applications/settings or if the phone goes to a boot loop!
2. Do not continue if you do not understand what is written here
3. Doing this will change the /data partition. So wiping data partition in the normal way will not work (say from CWM). You may need to do 2 steps - wipe (internal) data normally (say using CWM), wipe (external SD) data manually by disabling the script mentioned in the procedure and wiping using make_ext4fs tool (steps are given in PART 3 of this post).
4. This has been tested only on CM9 Alpha 6-11 / rooted DDLF2. Theoretically it may or may not work on other ROMs, depending on other tweaks and changes in the system, no guaranty offered!
5. In case you mess it up, most of the time (but no guarantees!), you can recover by flashing from beginning using ODIN some base versions like KPE and then come to your normal ROM, followed by a nandroid recovery (so better do a nandroid backup before you try anything .
Pre-requisites:
- Rooted Phone
- Kernel with init.d support (and preferably ext4 as well if you want that)
- Basic ADB knowledge
- A blank micro SD card with at least class 4 (class 6 or greater preferred) speed and with sufficient capacity - say 8/16/32 GB
PART 1 - PREPARING THE EXTERNAL SD
--------------------------------------------------------------------
0. !!! FIRST !!!
Do a Nandroid Backup (and also other app level backups like Titanium or MyBackup)
Backup contents of your FAT partition (mmcblk0p1) - ie, the internal SD card card
Backup contents of your external SD card
1. Download sdparted-recovery.zip from web (http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/6433-solved-messed-up-partitions-on-internal-storage - check messages like 11 to see the basic usage) and extract the contents
2. Using ADB, copy the extracted files in sdparted directory into /system/bin, change permission for all of them to 755 using chmod
3. Put a clean external SD card into the phone
4. In an ADB shell, run /system/bin/parted giving mmcblk1 as the target. Now resize the existing FAT partition (this is the first and default partition in the card). Tips:
print gives the existing partition(s)
help gives help on various options
for resizing and creating partitions, inputs should be derived from the initial print output (which gave the first and last points)
Eg: If card is 16GB, and you want to reserve 4GB for data, then resize the first partition to 12GB
5. Create a new partition of type ext2 with remaining size (say 4G in our case). Save and quit parted.
7. (Do this only if your kernel supports ext3/ext4) Run "tune2fs -j /dev/block/mmcblk1p2" to convert ext2 to ext3
8. (Do this only if your kernel supports ext4) Using ADB, copy "make_ext4fs" (attached) to /system/bin
9. (Do this only if your kernel supports ext4) Convert ext3 partition to ext4 using make_ext4fs ("make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk1p2")
10. Now the partitions are ready
- They will be visible as mmcblk1p1 (FAT) and mmcblk1p2 (ext4) when you cat the /proc/partitions
- They will be visible as partitions 1(FAT) and 2 (ext4) in the print output of parted.
Confirm the above before proceeding further.
PART 2 - SWAPPING EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL SD
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Write a script, say 00remnt similar to the attached sample file which currently I am using (If you do not follow the script, better don't proceed. Else check if things are fine for your current base ROM settings)
2. Push this into /etc/init.d/ using ADB
3. Change permissions of the file to 755
4. If you need, copy the contents of your internal SD card FAT partition (/sdcard) to the external SD card FAT partition (/sdcard/external_sd or /emmc)
5. Use the popular (relevant methods) to swap the internal and external FAT partitions (which actually changes the vold.fstab contents). Normal search in the forum will give you the available methods - some ROMs support it as options, others have mods which will accomplish the same
5. Reboot and enjoy
Voila!!! Now the system is not using internal SD card (for most purposes) at all!! And your phone can now run for days without abrupt force closes and reboot. You still may get a message like SD card is removed/damaged, (and /emmc or /sdcard/exteranal_sd may become inaccessible - so better use it only as a temporary storage!). But you can safely ignore these messages as that is the internal SD card which we are not using anyway... Enjoy...
PART 3 - WIPING DATA PARTITION (in case you need this step later)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Change permission of the 00remnt to 644
2. Reboot the phone (now the phone will come up with default internal SD partition for data)
3. From ADB shell, execute "make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk1p2" (see PART 1 on how to get this tool)
4. Change permission of the 00remnt to 755
5. Reboot the phone to recovery, wipe the /data as normal
rgds,
Dipu.
PS: If any one knows how our phone uses the 2nd partition in the internal SD card, please let me know... I am assuming that it is not used for any critical purposes (as my phone ran successfully for few days without any issue). May be it is used in some kernel/ROM, if so, please let me know.
Though i didn't understand a word(being an internee dentist) it will be useful to others.appreciate your efforts!!

This is what i call a complete and useful guide.
This should become a sticky.. now... NOW!
+1 for sticky, superb info.
that would be a really nice sticky
i had the motherboard changed..
Thanks Dipu K for your efforts.
I've tried this solution in my I9003, and I have only a problem: When reboot the phone, /data is copied into de Ext4 partition on SD card, but all aplications have errors because isn´t possible to unmount /data,
Here is the messaje in remnt-log (only a few lines):
Code:
...
3. Make Directory --->
4. Mount new data partition from external SD --->
5. Copy the current files in /data
6. Remove current files in /data
7. Unmount /data
umount: can't umount /data: Device or resource busy
8. Remove dir /data as a safety measure
9. Linking external sd data partition as /data
10. Final Mount status --->
...
What can I do to correct this?
Thanks

Finally, I've changed a line on 00remnt, and seems to work properly: busybox umount -l /data 2>> /system/remnt-log
Where can I get make_ext4fs? Sadly the same case has happened to me...
Hi Guys.
I am using alpha 4 from last one month and experience was awesome but from last 1 week I am getting lot of FC for lot of services like exchange service gapps what's up camera and lot more. I am not sure why FC issue started happening from last one week.

hi all, i have a galaxy i9003 with a corrupted or completely dead (not sure) internal memory chip. I have come to this conclusion after 3 days of trying to install custom and stock roms. I can access recovery and download mode but i cant install any ROM, the phone keeps rebooting after the SAMSUNG (whole screen black except SAMSUNG in the middle). All i have is atm this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351056 installed on my phone via ODIN. I dont have knowledge about ADB, can somebody help me out with instructions more?

Is there a solution without a rooted phone or can I root it somehow, even if the there is a hardware defect? I got an error with /dev/block/mmcblk1p that rfs can't be written.
I have a problem. My friend gave me an i9003. Wipe is not working at all, even from Recovery. I connect the phone to PC and use the internal card, no matter what I do, changes don't apply. I copy/paste/delete/format/even odin flash, no good. Everything comes back as before reboot. What is it related to?
I used to have an i9000, but nothing applies to i9003. I flashed i9000 1000 times and at last got a mmcblk02 error, fixed it with external sd swap. I'm thinking of swapping emmc with sd on this one too, but cant install a rom from CWM, I can install CWM from ODIN though and can flash CFROOT too, but in CWM internal storage can't be mounted... Motherboard problem?
I will try to use this guide and report back soon...

Please do send us a report, I'd appreciate it very much. Have to deal with a similar situation as well for an old i9003. I've tried to employ the steps mentioned here but could not get it to work as well.
Hi everybody!
Had to remove the internal SD to install everything on the external one by following the mentioned post. Nothing else worked.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1651619
can anyone here recomended me custom rom that already with swap sdcard?

Somebody's Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 had wiped the internal SD card by itself! Is this even possible that it just wipes/formats on it's own? Is there any advice? The contacts appear to still be there.

SD Card partitioning on MTD ROMs

Hi There
Can someone explain what he\she did to partition SD card, and make all apps get installed on it.
Please note :
1. I don't want to use Titanium backup for this usage. I don't have the paid version and I'm tired of doing this one app at a time.
2. I saw some guides on the net, but they were all for GB.
(partition the microSD on PC using minitool) -can we use ext4 on our MTD ROMs ? What is the 1st partition for ? and the 2nd ?
(install busybox and super user) - Is it still needed ? (MIUI for example has LBE as su).
(install Link2SD) - Is it always in memory ?
(reboot and put partitioned SD card)
(Define Link2SD)
3. I also saw swapper instructions but I can manage with 170MB free RAM memory I get after removing all unnecessary system apps, and I remember ppl saying then that it kills the SDCard very quickly.
If someone has a clear guide or instructions that he knows work, that will be nice.
Thanks in advance.
Step 1. Partition your SD card to have a sd-ext partition. This can definitely be ext2 or FAT16. Anything else depends on your kernel. Most of them do support ext3 and 4, but... start with something fairly basic.
Regarding recoveries:
TWRP has always failed for me on this, so I'd avoid that.
This may be doable in CWM. I've seen reference to that newer versions of CWM removed the partition option, so you might need to flash an ICS ROM with an older kernel, repartition, and then flash back to the one you want.
Also note that if you use CWM to repartition, your SD-card will be wiped. So do a backup first.
Step 2. Install Mounts2SD. Either from XDA or the Play Store. Even if you do take it from the Play Store to get update notifications, I highly suggest grabbing the recovery script from the XDA thread so that you can get back your shifted applications without needing to re-download and install M2SD, since it likes to be on internal which means... shifted off.
Step 3. Open Mounts2SD. Grant SU rights at whatever point it asks for it during step 3. Hit the menu button. Go to Application Settings. Install the Startup Script. Tell it to use the built-in busybox as well, so that you don't need to install anything or worry about it failing. Back out of the Application Settings.
Step 4. Press on the Wrench to go into the actual specific settings. I currently have forced Cache, 1% Storage Threshold, Applications are the only bit moved, the File System Check is on and using the Ext4 Driver, 128KB Deadline for Internal and 4096 with Deadline for External, and Safe Mode is disabled. But decide on what you want yourself, set it, go back to the Eye to see your current info.
Step 5. Reboot.
Step 6. Wait 1-30 minutes for it to finish moving all your stuff around.
Step 7. Unlock your phone, open Mounts2SD, and make sure everything looks pretty on that first 'Eye' info tab. If you like it then close Mounts2SD and keep going on your merry way. If you don't like it or you've done something like offload your data and now your phone is wretchedly slow, go to the Wrench, change your settings, go back to the Eye, and reboot again. Repeat until satisfied.
I thought it would be simplier.
A few more questions:
1. If I partition SD on PC, then I don't need any partitioning on recovery so it should work fine even on TWRP or advanced CWMs. Am I right?
2. Why do I need scripts for? Isn't the app enough?
3. Why should/could it possibly slow down my device? TB 'move to SD' for all doesn't slow my device what so ever.
4. How and where do I see what partition is used for what?
5. How much RAM does the app take?
6. Have you tried other apps link2sd or something CM has built in I think.?
Thanks.

New answers to new questions.
1. Skip step 1 if you've done it on your PC. I just suggested recovery as that's easy... if you've made your sd-ext partition on the PC, step 1 is done.
2. No clue on Link2SD. I use Mounts2SD instead since it lets me set things. It probably does the same thing though and sets a init.d script that gets run during startup.
3. True. For some reason though having all your data moved to sd-ext makes our phone go to a crawl. Same if you move off the dalvik.
4. That's in Mounts2SD. No clue how you can see if you're using Link2SD.
5. For Mounts2SD, none while it's being used, since it just runs as a startup script. The app is just to control the script.
6. Not successfully. I had tried 5 or 6 different apps back a year ago or so when I first started playing with sd-ext and Mounts2SD was the best and free, so... never looked back after that. Now you can also do some system-flag tweaking if you want to donate, but the sd-ext stuff is all free.
I was able to successfully partition SD and use mount2sd on 4.3 SlimBean.
however, it was rather slow.
CM 10.1 and CM10.2 by DJL. did not allow me to partition nor did they recognize SlimBean's partition even if I replaced them kernel (to NilTMT).
I'm currently using CM10.1 which is stable as a daily driver and manually swapping apps with TB, I hate it, but this is the best combination I've come so far.
I sold my wife's SGS4G and upgraded her to SGS3 and hopefully in a year I will do the same. it had its moments, but on the bottom line it's a pretty ****ty phone with its lack of internal mem...but hey, it drove so many of us to go deeper and deeper trying to understand and made us more tecnolgical and solution oriented.
Mounts2SD worked for me on CM10.1, so not sure why it failed for you. Ah well.
A few things I have found...
Yes, you can partition on Windows, but you're really asking for trouble. It's not too bad download Ubuntu or the like and you can boot off a USB stick without touching your Windows install.
The TeamAcid kernels that I know of handle ext2/3/4 file systems. All kinds of arguments as to which are better. I personally use ext4 and don't find it obviously "slow" for the way I use my phone.
That said, what the boot scripts (which are part of a flashed "kernel" for the SGS4G) actually do with a "special" partition is another story. In some cases the first stages of booting will look for special partitions and mount them in pre-configured places. For example, the second partition of the removable card might be mounted on /sd-ext/ in many CyanogenMod ROMs. Many (most?) SGS4G ROMs don't have these "special" mount rules defined.
Moving an app to SD using the "native" approach just moves the app and none of its data to the SD card. It won't for example, move 25 MB of mail from /data/data to your microSD
Moving an app to SD (or anywhere else) doesn't keep it from generating its classes in /data/dalvik-cache -- It isn't "free" to have an app on SD as far as internal storage goes, even if it doesn't write any data.
Moving an app to SD will absolutely slow down your boot time. It does it by creating a file that contains a file system that then gets read and mounted at boot time. You can watch the parade of them getting mounted using adb logcat. It can take a minute or two to mount them all. Once mounted, that double layer of file systems shouldn't slow you down too much, since it is basically a read-only kind of thing.
Scripts are required since you need to be able to "fake out" the operating system as to where things are stored for anything (except if you just use the native app to SD method). In most cases you need new partitions mounted before the Android part of the OS starts running.
Some scripts are more robust than others.
TitaniumBackup (paid version) has a way to move data to an external partition. It works like a charm for me (64 GB Sandisk UHS-1 / Class 10 microSD). It was very tweaky for me to get it to recognize the ext4 partition the first time. It can bulk-move app data to the partition. I don't know which, if any, of the other scripts move the data to an external partition.
On my phone, an ext4 file system can be significantly faster than the internal yaffs, especially for write. Alas, it usually seems to be read that is a killer for most things in an well-written app. On my phone, yaffs can be faster than ext4 for short reads. Who knows how this would play out in real-world usage.
Other things that TitaniumBackup can do that help free up internal storage, at least in the paid version, are:
Dalvik cache cleanup
Integrate system Dalvik cache into ROM
Integrate update into ROM
Convert to system app
I can confirm Link2SD works where Mount2SD fails, which is an ext3 partitioned sd-ext on AOKP. it doesn't get any simpler than that.

[Q] Question after root device

I just unlock my device bootloader and root it with vroot , i am really newbie in android because i am ios user before.
I just want to ask , what else i can do other than gain root privilege?
I have sony xperia J / st26i , and it's only have 512 ram, but i check the background process and only 120-140 ram available.
After rooting, what i can do to get/free more ram so i can play game stable?
what is cyanogen mod ?
what is custom roms ?
what is system recovery ?
Is it possible to downgrade firmware?
if i want to upgrade firmware , do i need to lock the bootloader?
please give me your opinion , what i must do to get more ram
sorry for these question, just really noobs in android world
You should download more ram...nah, joke
1.If you have unlocked bootloader and root, you can do anything in android now.
2.Android is built differently than windows and the rule more ram=better. It just doesn't like to waste ram, so it uses it to something and it's still smooth most of the time(for me on slim cm10 it was 150-220 free, now on stock based rom it's 50-90 and it feels even smoother) If you want the games to run smoother you can flash a kernel with overclocking capabilities, but it shortens the lifespan of SoC, produces more heat and drains more battery, but if you are modifying your phone do you care about those things or performance?( I'm currently on 1.8ghz oc heheh)
But what you can do to free more ram are those things:
-uninstall apps you don't use
-use "greenify" to hibernate apps that always run in the background. Facebook in the background really slows down J
- STAY AWAY FROM TASK KILLERS
3.Cyanogenmod - custom rom for android phones based on aosp(stock android made by google). It's basically just stock android with additional functions.
4.Custom rom - it's simply a rom that isn't made by the manufacturer of the phone(it isn't stock), like cyanogenmod
5.System recovery - really it's just what it sounds like, although custom recovery is more common - clockworkmod or team win recovery project. They are essential if you want to flash a custom rom or install some mods or do other things such as formatting the system, wiping cache or simply making a backup of the system
6.It is possible to downgrade firmware - you just download the desired firmware and flash it
7.Probably no, but you don't really need to worry about this - J has two firmwares - 4.0.4 and 4.1.2. and it won't get any more official updates - you can flash them with flashtool without worrying about it and there is really no need to use 4.0.4
8.As i said before - use greenify to hibernate apps.
thanks for the detailed answer.
looks like i don't need to use custom roms, but i want to have backup of system with CWM or TWRP , any link for detailed guide for that? since i don't want to brick it or anything, CWM or TWRP is better for sony xperia J / st26i?
There's something bothering me for a while , i have phone memory around 700mb+ and internal storage 2gb, and microsd 4gb [removable] the problem is i can't move my application to microsd, but i can read that microsd is detected. it just there's no option to move it there, is something wrong with my phone? i only have the option to move it to internal storage and clear data, force stop, uninstall , but no option to move it to my microsd 4gb , or i need third apps ? , i use apps called app manager III , but it's still dont have the option move to the microsd.

If you want to move apps to 4 GB you wud need to swap ur internal 2gb with microsd 4 gb. But it has some performance issues and hence not recommended. However I have done that !! Swapped my 8gb micro with 2 gb internal. You can refer to the thread.

Keep trying various apps, one should work.
CWM is more common, but you have to do kernel swapping if you want to do a backup on a stock rom
1.Make sure you have ~1gb of free memory on the internal memory
2.Flash kernel with integrated cwm (custom one, like riches kernel, but be aware that system won't boot up - kernels meant for cm10 don't work with stock roms and vice versa)
3.After you finish flashing, boot up the phone and when the illumination bar is lit up (i don't remember what color it is lol, probably yellow but it doesn't matter)keep pressing vol - button until it changes color to blue and you enter recovery menu. Use vol + and - buttons to move up and down and power button to confirm. Go into "backup and restore" and choose "backup" Wait until it finishes and then go back and simply pull the battery and put it again
4.Flash back the stock kernel, boot up the phone and after it's done plug it to your pc and the backup will be in the folder clockworkmod.
And you're done!
Do the kernel swapping again if you need to restore the backup
And kernel flashing is simple - download the program flashtool, install it and then go to the "drivers" folder and launch the .exe in there and choose only fastboot and flashmode drivers. Then reboot the pc if necessary and launch the flashtool program adequate to your pc (32 bit or 64 bit) Turn off the phone, put the usb cable into pc first, hold the vol - and plug in the phone - small led near the front camera should be blue and the flashtool should display "device connected in fastboot mode. Click on the thunder icon, select "fastboot mode" and then "select kernel to flash" - you select the kernel you want to flash(change the filesystem to the one of the kernel) and then it should flash. Check the log if everything is successful and then disconnect the cable.
And i've just noticed that apparently vengeance kernel has integrated cwm and is for stock roms, so probably you can avoid kernel swapping and flash it once, but have it your way
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/general/xperia-jst26i-roms-kernels-mods-how-tos-t2237164 - here you can find the stock kernel and vengeance, Also there under the recovery is a cwm kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...ent/cm10-miro-tipo-j-e-riches-kernel-t2507787 - or here is the riches kernel
http://www.flashtool.net/download.php - here you have the flashtool
Check other tutorials if you feel lost. I suggest watching a tutorial vid on youtube.
1. Don't change your SD card with your micro SD, whatever people may say. It is dangerous, especially for someone who is just starting to mess around with their phone.
Don't. The risks are bigger than the advantage.
2. In Android you can't natively(or with apps) move apps to the micro SD. You could, but I believe the function was removed in Android 2.3(correct me if I'm wrong.
You could use link2sd to do it, but that requires you to partition your micro SD.
You can Google "link2sd" for further information or you can always ask here.

okay, now i got memory storage problem
i download game, install game, update game, all stored in phone memory not internal storage, when i move to internal storage from 280mb size , it only moved 30mb+ to internal storage, and the rest stuck in phone memory..
So is there no way to move the game completely to internal storage ?
and when i open the playstore , it's often show connection timed out , there's no problem with the wireless, i can browsing fine, just always connection time out in playstore.

Huawei Ascend G6 LTE - Modded b370 -EVOLUTION - All what you need in one ROM!

------------------------- My modified ROM -------------------------
Updated on 07-04-2015
This is a backup from what I have in my phone, modified by me.
Check bellow the new update and let a comment!
Lets see her first! : https://youtu.be/ygulhZFlGjQ
In this version have a New "Face", by default external sd storage is the main storage, have a new bootanimation, a better one core performance ( 90% of the apps use only one core ), better RAM usage, have a Mega Themes pack that will be created in external SD CARD but you can delete the themes you don´t like it, ADB is in ROOT mode, default recovery have busybox tools, new tweaks, two hardreset zip to use with TWRP ( one version install the default recovery again) and auto resize data partition to 4GB!
Data partition is where user data and apps go, by default is 2GB!!! And still have the option of sending the apps to sd card!
And automatically will send the apps to sd card IF YOU HAVE A PRIMARY EXT4 PARTITION IN external SD card, if you don´t have apps stay in phone like default.
This is for #Huawei #Ascend #G6 #L11 #LTE. - European version, i don´t now if works for other countrys.
So, like before...
This ROM is from a backup from my #phone and it was #modded by me, for now everything is working fine but some times issues are only noticed with the use of the device.
My version still #Kitkat #B370 but very diferent from Stock #ROM, have more tools, options and user have Full control from the phone.
Please read all to understand and see what you need to do and how to do it!
One of the best things in this version is that data partition was increse from 2GB to 4GB and if you have a ext4 partition with +/- 3/4GB ( don´t need more ) in your external sd card it will install the all apps there automatically!!!
Advantage of this? You will have a huge store space for the apps!!! And the "#low #storage #space" advise, you will never gonna see it!
If you don´t have it, it will work like default ROM.
To create a primary #ext4 partition in sd card with the size you want, you can use mini partition tool (for windows OS ).
http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html
This video shows how this ROM works with a external ext4 partition in sd card what means that all apps go to sd card and let internal storage free, the example shows how to create a 8GB partition but is to big...4/3GB i think will do the job:
https://youtu.be/7st6838_aAg
Use a class 10 sdcard, better if is one to use with 4k pictures, it have a better performace!
-> To use it with sd card ext4 partition is better to start from factory reset with the partition already created in sd card!
Or create the partition and flash this ROM!
It have Rashr from #XDA, it is a app that easly can change/flash your recovery and do some other things.
When you flash this ROM it will create in your sd card a folder called recoverys, inside you will find #TWRP ( modde by me to ) and the default recovery.
How to use it? Open #Rashr, give root permissions, select recovery, search in explorer for sdcard1, open recoverys folder choose the one you want and flash and flash it! Is that simple.
And now this ROM will install in your external sd card a flash zip to use with TWRP called Hard_Reset.zip. What it does???
It will reset your phone AND the ext4 partition you have in external sd card!!! Full reset, in phone and in the external sd card ext4 partition! You must flash it with TWRP to work.
>>>>>What this ROM have?

And same other things...
I hope you enjoy it.
ADVISE!
Always do backup from the ROM you have in your device.
If you have root you can use this tool, it have a backup option, the phone must have ROOT, must have a tmp folder in Windows ( c:\temp ) and 2 GB free in external sd card.

My device is working properly with out any problem so far, some times bugs only be noticed with use and i will update this post with the ROM fixed.
Install it by your own free will, I am not responsible for any damage that may appear in the device.
Lets start! ( If you had any of my other version jump to STEP 3! )
If is your first time in this page start by unlocking your bootloader, and by flashing b118 ROM, if you already have done this skip this 2 first steps and go to step 3:
STEP1: To Unlock the #bootloader, first try this site, but if you don´t have you need to create a account ( free ):
https://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail
Insert your data like this example for U10:
http://postimg.org/image/6kddvoboj/
U10-G6, huawei G6-U10, etc..., DON´T WORK! Insert it like image shows.
Example for #L11 model:
http://postimg.org/image/wha6ixm85/
Be sure from the data you are inserting...
Now, with the code, use G6SKnife to install the drivers for Huawei, option ( d ) than turn off the phone, press volume - and power at same time, it will boot in bootloader mode, plug the usb cable, wait if is installing the phone, use G6SKinife again and use option 18, read what is in screen. If was done right the phone will reboot with factory reset and bootloader unlocked.
Step 2: You need B118 ROM #Firmware or a new one than B118 ( B119, B120, etc ) because old versions don´t let to install TWRP...
So lets flash B118:
Download this zip:
G6-L11_20V100R001C432B118_Firmware_West_20European_Channel-Others_Android_204.3_EMUI_202.0_20Lite_05012GFT.zip
https://mega.nz/#!Tl4CnSBR
Key:
!rTuufQZhcyEGGY2_4iUc2S9lPZ61MamYS7OMydYFf1I
Extract the dload folder to PC desktop, paste in external sd card and with the phone OFF, press the volume KEYS and power at same time, hold it, and release power on boot, if don´t turn ON release only power, than volume keys when flash starts.
This video shows the flash from B118 than to Huawei_Ascend_B370_LTE_BB ROM but we gonna do it a litle easy, OK?
https://youtu.be/duF3kWSpgsI
STEP3: Install TWRP but ! you need ! this version, or your flash will fail!!!...
Download this TWRP exe file:
https://mega.nz/#!39olHSqI
key:
!-xrnsx_nYPF4H-IeQXn6znbkn_1TbYUaHaYUx_O0qB4
Boot in bootloader ( must say unlocked in red ). Do you remeber how to do it? Turn off the phone, press vol - and power at same time! Plug the usb cable and execute the file you download!
It will reboot.
STEP4: The ROM!
Huawei_Ascend_G6-L11_EVOLUTION_B370_ROM_V2.0.0.zip
https://mega.nz/#!j9Ay2IYI
Key:
!Z9jQhLr3-kmyBjNicw_q8FZyqp-pjRVlG0h24JYIO-I
Copy to sd card, DON´T UNPLUG THE USB CABLE, why?
Power off the phone, it will boot in TWRP!!!
Now go to install and flash the ROM!
READ ALL WHAT IS WRITE IN THE END OFF FLASH!!!
It will say to GO BACK TO TWRP MAIN MENU -> REBOOT -> ! RECOVERY!!!!!!!
You will go to FACTORY #RECOVERY!
Do a factory RESET!!!
I advise to use a cat10 extreme sd card - normally used for 4k movies and go to settings -> #STORAGE and change main storage to ->SD card.
Done!!!!
>>>>> FIX CUST, CHANGE PROVIDER AFTER INSTALL ROM<<<<
This ROM was edited to vodafone pt but can be changed to your provider.
When you flash it, if you are not from Portuguese Vodafone it will show a bootanimation that say " Change Cust after settings than do a factory reset ".
This is how to fix it with Root Browser, that you can find in ROM, go to folder /DATA and seek the custom.bin file, open it as a text file, you will see something such as example zt/rt, now we left the folder /DATA and go to the folder /CUST , we open it and we will find a folder with the name vodafone, we will change the name of it to the first name that we saw in custom.bin in our example will is zt, use small font, now we entered the zt folder and we will find another folder that his name is pt, let's switch to the second name of our exemple which will be rt, use small font!
Go back and exit the app, do a factory reset. Done!
The video shows how i change cust from hw/normal to vodafone/pt
So ROM is set to vodafone pt, you must do the same to your provider.
Check the video to know how to flash from B118 to one of my old version, is the same with this one to:
https://youtu.be/1rV3NAylyIo
On video you can see one of the advantages of external partition, a default factory reset or flash don´t delete the apps you have it in phone before, it will be installed in first boot! Some times it will take longer if you had to many apps.
The app on video is STORAGE SPACE, was in external partition like you will see on video, and was installed in flash!
ext4 partition is only reset by Hard_reset.zip!!! Default reset don´t "clean" that partition.
Installed your ROM yesterday over the stock firmware of my Huawei G6 L11 B360 . So far working everything working fine and the phone is really responsive!
Except that the app Rashr is not working. It closes immediately. Not really using it so I don't really care but now you know.
