Hi guys, I have a xperia miro and the unlock bootloader allowed is "no". I saw some sites where they make it unlockable for around 20$, but I do not really want to pay for it, but when I saw that cm11 project going on, it just interested me more if someone knows how to do it pleasee tell me if i dont get some help, i guess i will have to pay it, so did anybody paid for that and what is their experience and did it really changed the bootloader status to unlockable "yes"

I don't own a Miro, but I think there isn't much you can do.. I wouldn't trust these 'Bootloader Status Changing Guys' LOL, but you can give it a try of course.

Probably not. I dont think this phone even as good as it is, I dont think got very popular. And when there isnt much popularity to a phone Developers tend to focus on the more mainstream phones..
But yea I wish their was a way to unlock it the traditional way.
Are you guys seriously talking about unlocking the RAZR hd bootloader? The one that you can unlock via Motorolas website. Or is this something completely unrelated?

I think he's talking about the XT926 Bootloader... but since there's absolutely no information in OP, one can only guess

I'm sure he's talking about the unlocking without using Motorola. That way no warranty is voided.
Screw warranties, I voided my cars warranty by tunning it, within the first month of owning it lol.

Hey people of XDA
Well question is kinda in the title I have an 02 locked Xperia J but the bootloader says no to being able to be unlocked so if i'm reading right I can't install custom roms
So any way I can get the bootloader unlocked?
Yes you cannot install custom roms based on custom kernel, but roms based on stock kernel should work.
And bootloader cannot be unlocked in your phone.

There's no way at all?
No, this is due to your carrier network, not Sony.

What about that SEtool2 thing? I tried contacting O2 but they gave me the run around :/ I really want it unlocked its annoying me lol
SETool does not work for the J if im not mistaken. And obviously O2 will not tell you how to unlock the bootloader.

Hi
I'm intending to buy a "new" unlocked skyrocket and I'm confused about locking issue
is it unlocked forever??
Does rooting and installing recoveries and Roms lock it back???
Thx in advance.
If the phone is unlocked installing custom roms or rooting will not lock it. Once it's unlocked it'll stay that way so don't worry.

Thx bro
I really couldn't imagine how can we unlock forever using simply the stock ROM and some codes(no root....)
Can you plz give me root,recovery... best tutorials (the ones you used)

A safe way to root 15.3.A.0.26
Bin4ry wrote the exploit code (getroot.c) which was edited by CUBE and it's based off Snow_Basinger's post/work (Link) and thanks to a friend who helped me sort this out.
Download
Just extract the files and run runme_win.bat. Don't forget to enable usb debugging

Credits to Bin4nary, Based on Snow_Basinger (Link) and a friend of mine. CUBE did not write the original exploit.
Basically reorganize the script. It works fine on my Xperia L 15.3.A.0.26 on Locked bootloader
Download
Just extract the files and run runme_win.bat

You didn't, snow_bashinger and CUBE did. You only made the thread so don't take credit off of someone else's work, it's not right.

He gave us the link and for that I am grateful, he did give credit to people who are responsible for development of Root in his first post.

Yeah I know, I've seen it. It's just "happy to help you guys" sounds as if he made the the exploit or whatever. I respect the fact that he gave credits, it just doesn't sound write "happy to help you guys" it almost sounds like he's saying it's his work. But either way it's a good thing he made a thread about this.

With all respect but have you thought that it just sounds like that to you ? For me it sounds like a guy who made a thread about root that many users out there were waiting for and in no way he did try to take credit for the root.
I didn't said I made it. Please do read. Sharing is helping too

I'm not sure is it really because of the rooting process, but since after rooting, i found that all my saved wifi are gone. Not really a big deal though. Anyone face this kind of thing with this root?
